Jason Gates DefenseWall is an excellent product.

Lone Wolf Excellent security app, worth every penny.
Support is nothing less then top notch.

Piotr (Creer) Amazing application - offers very strong protection level against 0-Day Threats, keyloggers, adware, malware, etc.
Easy-to-use, very light for CPU and RAM resources, no pop-ups flooding, simple and intuitive GUI, strong HIPS, and what is also very important to me - the top notch support (Ilya Rabinovich).

Tony Staggs This is a fantastic piece of software. I used the trial version and was really impressed with the way it handled ALL the spyware that was thrown at my test machine.

sI have tried other HIPS products such as Geswall but nothing rivals this product... top notch

I was willing to pay the full price for this but its even better on this deal.

Bargain... don't delay... get it now!!

freedom for free "Piotr (Creer)" is untrustworthy because he's working in cooperation with dev and he is doing PR for DW almost everywhere. He is also responsible for one of the translations from eng. So, watch out.

May 30 2009 at 12:08pm Copy Link

Piotr (Creer) @Freedom - you are wrong. I didn't work and i do not work for SoftSphere.com.
I'm just one of the happy users DefenseWall HIPS (look at the Wilders). I started to use DW about 6 months ago and still i learning how powerfull this software is on these days.
Also what i mentioned in my previous comment - that's my subjective point of view on this application, no more no less and please notice that i have rights to do this.

May 30 2009 at 11:39pm Copy Link

Genie au Travail One of the best if not the best HIPS on the market with top support.
Already installed on my computer since one year.

Sep 8 2011 at 3:35am Copy Link

Tazzie I second Peter R's question ... how does this work with other firewalls/AVs, etc ... Does it add to what those programs do or does it duplicate them or overlap?

Sep 9 2011 at 5:35pm Copy Link

Gabe Jung Too bad it's not x64 compatible. I'll have to pass this deal, although the software is excellent on x32 systems.

Sep 10 2011 at 2:02am Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich There are no compatibility issues with third-party security software.

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 10 2011 at 3:26am Copy Link

James User This is superb security that I have on all my machines. I don't know of any exploit that has ever defeated it. Don't pass this up. Buy it and try it Read about it on Wilders Security Forum. Tech support is provided by the developer (Ilya Rabinovich) on the Gladiator Security Forum. This software is not for the computer newbie but if you have some computer knowledge, this is the ultimate protection to supplement your AV.

Rick F Shoot, i have Win7 64 as well. when can we expect a 64bit version?

Sep 10 2011 at 8:14am Copy Link

James Kenney Do you plain to have the 64bit version out within the next 12 months?
There was some mention of a September release for the 64 bit version.

Will the 32bit and 64bit version be covered by the same license?
In other words, if I buy this today, will the license work when you release the 64bit version? Or will I need to buy a new copy?
Nat a real problem at this price of course! :-)

If I understand the license correctly, it is one USER, multiple computers... Is that correct?

Could you give a short summery of why you were not in favor of a 64bit version, and what problems there were in implementing it?

Thanks!

Sep 10 2011 at 8:26am Copy Link

No Deal NO 64-bit DEAL AND WHO KNOWS IF IT EVER WILL BE 64-BIT.

Save your money and go with a software that gives you full spectrum protection for 64-bit.
Any new system you buy today or have bought in the past year is 64-bit unless you are running a netbook.

Sep 10 2011 at 11:11am Copy Link

Rick F Any suggestions on full spectrum protection for 64-bit?

Sep 10 2011 at 11:59am Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich About 64 bit Windows:

a) I can't say for sure when it will be released, but I really hope it will be done, because the main problem here is b)

b) To make 64 bit version the same strength as 32 one, I have to bypass PatchGuard. There are no other ways to do the job.

PatchGuard bypass need to be implemented as correct way as possible, so, I'm in the beginning of this process, gathering as much information on it as possible to make right choice from the beginning, without re-writenig all the things from scratch in the future.

P.S. For those who blame me I don't have 64 bit version implemented- why do you think your protection software the same strength as on 32 bit Windows?

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 10 2011 at 12:56pm Copy Link

Patrick J. Sure, the missing 64bit support is and will be a problem for all software developers, 32bit is dying...

However, I have a 10 year license for 'DefenseWall Personal Firewall' and my personal experience is, Ilya tries his best to offer good, helpful and fast(!) support and you'll notice that he really tries to solve reported issues.

Keep on the good work!

Sep 10 2011 at 2:11pm Copy Link

Joseph Laing If you have 32-bit software then DefenseWall HIPS cannot be beat. If I had a malware free machine, I would trust DW for protection against any threat. I have 2 copies and will buy some more for friends in a few minutes. Ilya is great at providing service after the sale too!!!

Steven Avery Hi Folks,

I'm tempted, maybe next time. I think DefenseWall is the class of the sandbox.

However, I can never wrap my mind about the sandbox concept. Part of that is that it always seems a bit obstrusive conceptually (what am I working in ? Is this permanent?)

Part of that is that my layered security has been quite good for awhile. However lots of puters could use this as the one overarching safety net.

So I give it a thumbs up, but pass on my own need for now.

btw, I prefer to keep the term HIPS separate from Sandbox and Virtualization. To me, HIPS means changing XP or VIsta to be more like a real OS, with protection of vital points. Sandbox accomplishes this goal through a sort of mirroring method, as I understand, but I see HIPS and I think something else. Just my thoughts.

btw, I respect the position Ilya is taking on 64-bit. Working around Microsoft pseudo-security can be a bear. I'm not really up on Wilders (or Gladiators) recently, but he seems to have a very good rep. Which says a lot in a field where many stumble. Better done late and well, than first on the block with headaches. Granted it is late, but there are still gazillions of 32 bits puters out, and his first responsibility is to the software installed.

Steven

Joseph Laing The deal for DefenseWall HIPS may have expired, but last time I checked you can get DefenseWall Personal Firewall from BitsDuJour at a discount. I use DW with another anti-virus product and have had zero compatibility problems. It's not intrusive, just divides everything into 2 categories: trusted and untrusted. I am very satisfied, have had no problems, and currently have on a desktop and laptop. Of all the security programs, DW gets my highest rating!

Sep 11 2011 at 12:57pm Copy Link

Silat This is one of the best protection systems available. The other is Sandboxie.
I recommend you get this. And soon I understand it will finally work on 64 bit systems.

Sep 1 2012 at 9:26am Copy Link

Danny As a user of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is this application or a supplement for the pc DefenseWall HIPS redundant protection?

Sep 3 2012 at 2:01am Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich Yes, a kind of.. http://www.mrg-effitas.co...t-results/

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 3 2012 at 2:04am Copy Link

Tazzie Is this or isn't it 64-bit compatible NOW?

Sep 3 2012 at 1:04pm Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich It is not 64-bit compatible right now.

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 3 2012 at 1:07pm Copy Link

Tazzie Will it be made compatible in the future? If so, do you have a time frame for it?

Sep 3 2012 at 1:18pm Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich I hope so. There is no time frame.

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 3 2012 at 1:22pm Copy Link

Tazzie I could use the 32-bit version on my netbook, so I am definitely interested.

The policy states that "Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for 12 months." Will upgrades be discounted? If so, for how much?

Does the software have to be activated online?

Sep 3 2012 at 1:44pm Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich Yes, upgrades are $10.95 for HIPS edition of DW.

No, no online activation is present.

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 3 2012 at 1:47pm Copy Link

Danny DefenseWall HIPS have tested, it can not work with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. Taxing DefenseWall HIPS also heavier than my pc piece MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. DefenseWall HIPS no Dutch interface has seen that and no free liftime updates, this software application is not interesting to me. I let this deal pass from me.

alan marsh Best security for 32bit. I want this.

Sep 3 2012 at 6:13pm Copy Link

Stefan Hauber Will today's buyers get a x64-version, when(ever) it will published?

Sep 4 2012 at 12:23am Copy Link

VLM Sounds great. Like many others, I wish it ran in a 64-bit environment. :)

Sep 4 2012 at 4:19am Copy Link

_*_ Yes, I too will voice a desire for a 64-bit version.

It might be a good thing if you do work on one to post here as those tracking this thread will receive a mail informing us of your work.

Thanks for the upfront and honest answers; it means a lot.

Sep 4 2012 at 6:41am Copy Link

Janet Mikulsky @Danny Thys please don't lie, Defensewall works perfectly with malwarebytes antimalware (paid and free version)

Sep 4 2012 at 7:29am Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich "Will today's buyers get a x64-version, when(ever) it will published?"
Yes, in case I'll be able to manage it to the end of the license's expiration time. But I can't say for sure how many time will it takes.

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 4 2012 at 7:46am Copy Link

If the NAME: " DefenceWall " is NOT enough of a CLUE, be aware that this Software is a "Personal Firewall" !!!

YES, The word "FireWall" IS used on their website even though I didn't see it on THIS page!!!

The Point is that DefenceWall is NOT compatible with any Firewall that you may be currently Using.

I hope that helps Someone!!!

Sincerely,
Chris Roy Jackson

Sep 4 2012 at 8:37am Copy Link

Ilya Rabinovich Chris, just stop with that insinuations. DefenseWall has two editions: HIPS and Personal Firewall. The program is completely compatible with any firewall or security suite one may use but BitDefender 2012.

SoftSphere Technologies - Sep 4 2012 at 8:44am Copy Link

Rick Truell If this program is indeed similar to Sandboxie, as Silat said, then it should be noted that Sandboxie has a 64-bit version NOW. Additionally, Sandboxie claims to run on Windows 8, while DefenseWall doesn't mention Win8 at all. While this isn't conclusive, with Win8 nearing release, programs that are Win8-compatible take great pains to mention that they are.

Sep 4 2012 at 9:49pm Copy Link

Francis . @Rick Truell
Silat did not say DefenseWall is similar to Sandboxie. He said
"This is one of the best protection systems available. The other is Sandboxie. .."
