I see a Windows recovery bundle on the vendor's website but it only has a List Price of $237.

I couldn't find a bundle with a List Price of $454, as indicated here on Bitsdujour.

MountainKing I question myself of the ability of this programme and the honesty of this vendor...Why?

The description from CNET and TUCOWS are not linked. This can mean that the author has written the review himself and the views expressed are probably not those of CNET or TUCOWS.
Direct linking to those reviews would help.

Also, this feature makes me uneasy...

I have yet to come across such a software. If the data has been overwritten, its gone, bye-bye, no way of recovering it...

MountainKing @Nico Westerdale: I mean check the official website. He has images/gifs with major sites rating this product as good but there is no links whatsoever to those reviews/websites.
I find this disturbing and fishy. I am in no way questioning the reviews of the dedicated staff of BDJ.

Nico Westerdale @Mehdi - Understood, however a quick search showed me a "5 Cow" rating on TUCOWS for a Disk Doctor product: http://www.tucows.com/preview/512715. The fact of the matter is that most of these download sites give out "5 Stars" to everyone just to get links back to their site so it's a very bad judge of software quality.

More importantly if you look on the Disk Doctors homepage you'll see that they are a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP). I actually sit on the Board of Directors for the ASP, and all members must abide by the ASP's code of professional conduct: http://members.asp-softwa...onduct.php.

I don't want to get bogged down in this so lets continue this discussion on "5 Star" awards in the forum:

Duane Quinn Hi,
Last year I had a Browser hijack...
When I tried to remove it with Avast it completely destroyed the operating system (Windows XP) and leaving me unable to access my music, books videos etc...
I tried other softwate (Easeus) after it happened...It didn't work.

Will this program do the trick?
