Disk Drill PRO Virus Scan Report

What are people saying about Disk Drill PRO

Mark Hill Please clarify under Policy you state "Disk Drill PRO is licensed per user". Then you state "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed". This implies software can only be used on one machine.

Vincent Miles Sorry for having misled you, Disk Drill CAN be installed on Macs that you own personally.

Here is the description of Disk Drill PRO license:

"
PRO Edition of Disk Drill lets you protect and recover your own data only. It is not allowed to use Disk Drill PRO to recover data for your friends, clients, etc. It can be installed on Macs that you own personally, and cannot be used for money-making purposes. You can scan, protect and recover only hard drives, memory cards and other media you are the owner of. If you are a freelancer, or the only owner of your Mac, where Disk Drill PRO will be installed ON, you are definitely free to choose PRO Edition even if this Mac is used for business.

Eddie Does this include a free upgrade to version 2?
I like the software, and IIRC I tried the very first version as well as a more recent one.
Since it is already at version 1.8 I don't want to pay again once version 2 is out.
Thanks.

Vincent Miles Hi Eddie,

Thank you for your interest in our app!

Since the discounted version of Disk Drill is 1.x and the upgrade to 2.x means the upgrade to next major version, the upgrade is not free (please, refer to our Upgrade Policy). The good news is that all registered users are offered 50% discount on the new major version.

Ulf Mertens No lifetime upgrades? Too bad. Hope to see this again in one of the mac bundles as soon as v 2 is out.
