What are people saying about Easy File Sharing

riad af Hi
1) what are the maximum storage size for all the files ?
2) do files get deleted after specific time ?

Alex Ferri Hi,

1) There is no maximum storage size other than your storage unit size. You can't exceed that but Mac OS won't let you so no worries.

2) No

3) Yes. The files can be accessed using any web browser. You can also protect access to the files with a username and password.

riad af Thanks for the answer.
the product description mentiones using a personal websit. If the files are stored in my hard desk, can you explain what is that personal website?

+ Is there a YouTube guide to understand how the program works?

Alex Ferri Hello,

Yes. You have 2 options: You can use one of the the built-in website templates to share your files and in this case the software hosts the website. The second option is to use your own website structure and insert identifier strings where you want to share your files on your own website hosted somewhere on your hard drive or external drive.

There is no video tutorial but you are free to test it first. The trial version has minor limitations but you can see and know how it works.

Gary User is there any encryption or security? I'm concerned about opening my router and computer to someone whose computer might be compromised even though I might know the person

Alex Ferri You can protect the website with 128-bit encrypted secure authentication credentials unbreakable and unhackable.

Gary User Alex - I didn't get an email from you about 1avshare. I only received emails with the order number info for the original purchase and emails about responses on this website.

Alex Ferri Response to Gary User. Bellow is acopy of my e-mail.

I have exchanged your 'Easy File Sharing' license for a 1AVShare license.

You can download 1AVShare from here:

http://www.pcwinsoft.com/...InstAG.exe

You can request keys from inside the program like in this video demonstration:
http://www.pcwinsoft.com/...gister.asp

Step-by-Step
----------------------------------------
Trial dialog > Click ‘Register’ > Mark ‘Send key to my e-mail’ > Click ‘Next’ > Then enter the e-mail address you used to register > Then click ‘Send’.

The key is sent to your e-mail address.

After you receive the key you go:

Trial dialog > Click ‘Register’ > Mark ‘Enter key’ > Click ‘Next’ > Then enter the key you have received on your e-mail > Then click ‘Authenticate’.
----------------------------------------

Or you can log into the control panel here:

riad af Hi Alex
I just purchased 1avshare!. Waiting for the license info email.
In the mean while: are the info in the fineprint here applicable to 1avshare?
For wxample this: "Each license allows installation on 10 computers, and Easy File Sharing may be used at exactly the same time on each of them" is it the same regarding 1avshare?

Alex Ferri Yes,

You can install 1AVShare on a total of 10 different PCs and unlimited number of registrations on cases of PC reformatting.

Best,
Alex

Robert Crombie For those that have Windows, you could try this instead.
Check if your router has a USB socket.
If it does there is the possibility that the manufacturer allows you to shove a USB thumb drive (maybe even an external USB drive ?) and share files that way.
I have XP Pro, W7 Pro, and W10 Pro pc's, and file sharing was a pain in the rear. (I suspect that MS goes out of their way to make Windows File Sharing difficult for us running the older Windows).
HOWEVER if your Router supports file sharing, your worries are over.
In each of your PC's you map to that USB drive, and file sharing is a piece of cake.
