What are people saying about Easy Work Time Calculator

M User Thanks TriSun & BDJ!

Now have Advanced Date Time Calculator, Date Time Counter and these Easy Work Time Calculator lifetime licenses.

It's nice that the UI has been modernized over the last year. However, I hope that in a subsequent update, the creator can integrate the license key icon into the "Help" menu - because that bothers a bit. Always makes me think I have to enter a license ;) It gives the software a somewhat 'inexpensive' look. Also, "Buy Now .." may leave of course, once activated.

@TriSun: Let them come, those updates! ;)

Thanks for your comment.

Consider the following reasons, we do not hide the "Key" button after registered:

1. The users may lost the license email after bought, they can easily use the free self-service - "Get/retrieve your license (free)" to get their license again.

2. The users may purchase a higher license in the future, if hide this button, they will lost the ability to upgrade their license.

3. The licensed copy will show the license type on the title bar, and the license info on the "About" interface, I think it is not very confused.

Hope this helps.

Bruno Verschraegen Hi, I have used Clock for tracking time spent on tasks, but this looks great and would like to purchase the 10-pack.. One question though: if at some point I forget to actively track a portion of a task, can I still manually add that time to the task afterwards?

M User Thank you Qiulin,

What you say is correct, but these (Registry ... Upgrade ... Retrieve license key ...) are usually cleared under the "Help" menu: some kind of quiet, but free general codex among programmers ;) (said this senior IT-er :D)

So the buttons do *not* go away, only it's better to integrate at the usual place for these elements, without being visually 'disturbing' all the time :)

Of course there are worse things in life ;)

There is a way to meet your advanced and special requirement:

1. Create an instant task (A).
2. Click "Help -> Open database location (for technical support)" menu item, edit "tasks.xml" file.
3. Find out task A and change the "began" property as you wish.

In short: edit the XML data file.

We will consider your suggestion, and we may do these changes:

That is: in the trial version, displays the License related functions alone, after registered, move them to the Help menu, and tell users how to find out them again.

----
P.S. this design based our 17 years software development and sales experience.

many years ago, the license related functions are listed in the "Help" menu in all our products.

Guess what happened?

More than half users do NOT know how to register their copy. We got many emails that asking how to register product.

Since 2010, we moved out license related functions from the Help menu, it's better than before.

But a few users still cannot register...

So, we written something in the license email, step 1, 2, 3 - begin at download...

Now, solved? No!
A few users still cannot find the License button (a key icon)... They need video.

Even, a few users think that once they paid the money, their copy will be registered automatically.

For the skilled uses, yes, they know how to find program information, contact provider without thinking. But please know that, if you produce and sell software, you will encounter a variety of problems you can not imagine. And even some people pay to your competitors, but ask you to send the registration code :)

---

Anyway, we will consider your suggestion (in fact, it's the original status) with more thinking to meet the needs of most users.

Thank you.

Praveen Kumar Nice Software.
I am a lazy guy, and would like the task times ( Start, Stop, Continue) to be automatic. Hope you understand what I mean. I have multiple files open, word, xl etc and I would like to know the time I spent on each file at the end of the day!

Can the software be automated?

Thanks for your comment.

Those things you mentioned is another field of time tracking for tasks - automatically track the programs/documents running time.

But we will also consider to do this in the future.

Hope this helps.
