Copying files is not something that we often think about. After all, you just copy a file, then paste it wherever you need it to be copied. But, like individual droplets of rain that add up to a flood that can move mountains, file copying becomes an issue when you need to copy lots of files. Suddenly, you find yourself stopping your workflow, or experiencing dramatic system lag, waiting for a large file copy operation to finish. That's why you need today's discount software promotion, ExtremeCopy Pro!

ExtremeCopy Pro lets you copy files extremely quickly, automatically optimizing speed and resource usage based on the characteristics of the target destination. With ExtremeCopy Pro, you'll experience increases of anywhere from 20% to 120% over the standard Windows Explorer copy function, ensuring a vast improvement in your efficiency and productivity. You don't even have to remember to use ExtremeCopy Pro instead of Windows Explorer, thanks to tight integration that will make ExtremeCopy Pro your default utility for copying files!

A number of additional features make ExtremeCopy Pro a must-buy. For instance, you can pause and resume the copy process, and ExtremeCopy Pro will recalculate the remaining time for the job accurately. You can also enjoy failed file recovery, meaning you can let the job finish without having to stop the whole copy process just due to one corrupt file. Lastly, you can opt to copy your source set of files to multiple destinations, without having to run sequential copy jobs!

Stefan Hauber Sorry to ask, but what does 120% faster mean?

Does it mean, it can copy 120% more data at the same time, which would mean, if windows would copy 1GB of data, ExtremeCopy can copy 2,2GB, (which would mean, this 1GB would be copied in about 45% (100% / 2.2) of the time windows needs)?

P C It seems extremecopy pro does not support copy modes like Diff(Size/Date) and Diff(Newer) which are being supported by FastCopy. Please clarify.

Exolon Miner Hi,

"Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed."

Does this mean if I buy a new PC the license is void?

easersoft.com Hi, Stefan Hauber

In most cases, ExtremeCopy faster than Windows Explorer. In other words, at the same time ExtremeCopy can copy more data than Windows, it is true.

NotesTracker - Tony Austin This looks very interesting, since I use TeraCopy all the time and any performance gain will make me more productive.

By the way, to make it more effective and professional-looking your easersoft.com website badly needs a "Buy" button (or link in the left navigator panel) that leads to a page that lists the pricing of standard and Pro versions. It also needs another button (or link) leading to a page that clearly compares the different features of Standard and Pro versions. Furthermore, there are also some English spelling mistakes and grammar flaws that need fixing.

Michael R. 1) When copying files I found out, that this activity kind of blocks my system, so I'm not able to do other tasks in a useful way. Especially this is the case, if I'm copying to an encrypted partition e.g. one created with TrueCrypt.

Is there a way to define a processor-consuming limit, e.g. 30%.

2) How does ExtremeCopy handle errors while copying, e.g.in the case, when disk is full or destination file is already there. Does it postpone these cases and continue copying the other files or does it stop and block everything else until the user decides what to do?

I think DOpus in its newest version did it quite good: It has a mode, which postpones the faulty tries until the end. But it's not perfect, because in case of an error, other copy-tasks will not be executed until the current one is finished.

Perhaps your software can do that?

Harry Stadman @ Michael R,

yes, it will try topy if not, it will mark the files with a red x and you can try again later after the copying the rest of the files with just one click of the retry button.

One of the fastest copiers around at this moment.

Bradley MacDonald If I may ask - how do you achieve the performance gain?
Do you split the file and then parse each part out to a thread? Or do you change the priority of the copy? This might not work for me - but it is a way.

I ask as I do a lot of large file copies - say anywhere from 500MB to 50GB in what I do. An increase would be a nice thing - but I have to understand how it is doing it. I convert data for a living - and need to make sure of the integrity of it as a top priority.

Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

Mark Johnson How do the file copy algorithms in ExtremeCopy Pro compare to what is in Xplorer2 ultimate and Directory Opus pro?
I have licenses for both these apps, and they have built in 'smart/robust copy an cut/paste' and that are definitely a lot faster than Windows Explorer, will not stop because one file can't be opened, etc., etc. Since ExtremeCopy Pro is kind of a one-trick pony, does it do it better than these other utilities? I do a lot of file copying and cut/paste between servers in Denver, Chicago, and other cities, so would be interested in the most speed gain I can get.

Thanks, Mark.

Brad What is going on with RegNow, they are telling me that they cannot verify that the information I have put in the form to make this purchase is valid. I make PayPal purchases all the time daily in fact and your processor is telling me my information is not valid.
Can you make sense of this with your payment processor.

I am using my exact Gmail address for the regisration form and it is also the same gMail address I use for the PayPal account and the address I put in is the address I have lived at for the last 12 years.

What gives?

J S Dear easersoft.com support person TCP is a no brainer to purchase (for the reasons you'll see below) but You may offer better support and product development so I have a few questions:

Q1. Do you anticipate developing this version up to v2.9.??, or 2.5.?? or is the next major upgrade coming along soon, or just what?

Reason I ask is because TeraCopy Pro has Your program "on toast" (beaten) in 2 important areas:

1. TCP includes major upgrades for life, Bitsdujour PoLICY BOX says: "... Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product. ..."

2. TeraCopy Pro license is "also: 'Per USER', 'installed on all owned computers' AND 'can be used at the same time on them all'

- - - - -
Bitsdujour Policy Box:
# TeraCopy Pro Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product.
# TeraCopy Pro is licensed per user, so if more people are going to use TeraCopy Pro you will need to purchase additional copies.
# Each license allows installation on all owned computers, and TeraCopy Pro may be used at exactly the same time on each of them.
# Transfer of a license to another owned computer is allowed.
- - - - -

So for me to buy a copy to even try out (as there is no time to trial it before the Bitsdujour deal expires) I need to know:

Q2. how long it will approximately be before I will have to buy an upgrade?
&
Q3. do you offer a 'multi user' & 'upgrades for life' purchase option?

You don't have to answer here as You have my email address - as part of the Bitsdujour policy, and I'll look forward to hearing from You, hopefully real soon.

Valentina Wallace Does ExtremeCopy Pro has any limitation on the size of the folder to be copied? I am trying to copy the folder (412 GB) but ExtremeCopy Pro quits after copying 140 GB. Windows 7 gives the message that the program ExtremeCopy Pro stopped working unexpectedly.

Harry Stadman @Bradley MacDonald

In that case you defenately should upgrade to windows 8(pro).

Because the latest operating system is tweaked to speed up copying and transferring large files. Small files are actually slower then before but large files are faster...
