What are people saying about Fanurio

Don Jacobs I currently use this program. As a consultant it has been been everything that I needed it to be. I especially like the time reporting feature that lets my clients know how and when I've spent my time. The best part is that my customized invoices look great.

Clive User Downloaded and tried the trial version and found two limitations immediately.

1. I can't remove the twee "Thank you for your business" message on invoices.
2. There is no print facility anywhere in the programme except for a buried option to export a report to PDF.

These points are showstoppers for me, unfortunately.

Nicu Cismaru Hi Clive,

First of all, thanks for trying out Fanurio. Since this is my first reply, I should probably mention that I'm the product manager for Fanurio.

1. I can't remove the twee "Thank you for your business" message on invoices.

Actually, you can if you edit the invoice template. A guide that shows you how to customize invoice templates is available here:
http://www.fanuriotimetra...guide.html

You can also send us the specifications and we'll customize the template for you. This is a free service whether you decide to purchase a license or not.

2. There is no print facility anywhere in the programme except for a buried option to export a report to PDF.

The next version will have a print button. It's still in a beta phase but I can send you the link by email if you want to try it out. The beta is already used by some of our users.

The next version will be a free upgrade for all our users.

Mitchell Kastner I have used the trial and it is great. I have one question. Does the program keep track of the timeslips that have been billed?

Cosmina Cismaru Yes. Once you invoice a service item, all its time entries are marked as invoiced. If you go to the Timesheet view, you can filter time entries by their status (Invoiced or Not Invoiced).

I hope this helps.

Mitchell Kastner Of all the insane good bargains on BDJ, this one simply is the tops. I am a single practitioner (law) and this fits my need perfectly, I don't know but I suppose that Timeslips, the bane of my existence, does more but it also cost about 200X more; that's right folks to upgrade I think it would cost me over 400 bucks. And I have been using the product since DOS days; no kidding.

The Timer app that comes with QBooks is sort of ok but it does not track expenses & I have been on their boards and I cannot find an answer how to bill stamps that you have already paid for; or how to bill copying expenses; or efax expenses; or tolls. I know there is some way to bill for mileage but I surely don't know how. For sure I could do all of that with Timeslips, but you can forget about moving Timeslips from one machine to my new one. For under 30 bucks Fanurio is criminally good.

Kevin P. @Phill C. Agreed. I've been using it for close to that long on my Mac and it's very flexible. Support is really good and the developer is responsive to suggestions.

I've tried a lot of project tracking/billing packages for the Mac and though some others may appear to look more slick, Fanurio has the features and flexibility that I require.

My only little gripe is that it is a Java application, so does not quite have that 100% Mac/Cocoa look and feel, but it's close. It also uses quite a bit of memory, but it's not an issue, just an observation common to Java applications.

Phill Coxon @kevin P. I actually love that it's Java because it means it's cross platform.

I use Linux a lot of the time for work and that means I can use Fanurio on both Windows and Linux.

In fact, the reason I started using Fanurio was that it was the online decent time tracking software I could find for linux.

It has definitely exceeded my expectations over the last few years.
