What are people saying about Fast Video Downloader

Wearsie Jackson Nice program - unfortunately, the annual licensing model is a DEAL BREAKER for me. :(

SoftCollector Yes, annual licensing sucks! Come on, it is just a video downloader, I will not be making money with it...

eb235 It looks like another of those bizarre offers.

This BDJ offer has two "surprising" constraints :
- annual licensing whereas it's nowhere to be seen on FVD site (I searched in the EULA http://www.fastpctools.com/fvd/eula.html and the terms of use http://www.fastytd.com/termsofuse.html). And the cost of renewal isn't even hinted at.
- 1-day limit for installation (look at the fine print if you can't believe it)
In other words, paid software with the constraints of a giveaway !

What's more there are two subtly distinct descriptions of the software (both with screenshots in English by the way) :
- one accessible through the BDJ link (http://fastpctools.com/fvd/)
- the other I accessed through the EULA (http://www.fastytd.com/index.html)
The latter presents FVD as free software with limited features, which become fully fledged upon payment. The purchase pages are the same : http://www.fastpctools.co...chase.html vs. https://fastytd.com/purchase.html. The good news is that a regular license (lifetime ?) is priced (for the time being) at $9.95.
The bad news (more of it) being that if you want to know the full details of the license from BDJ Fine Print, you're sent to the purchase page ! Does this mean you have to actually buy the product to know the license details ?

To sum it up, I think offers of this kind do tarnish BDJ reputation among true software lovers. My idea of BDJ is that it offers clear purchase details so that we can concentrate on **features** in the conversation (not counting the occasional glitches in payment processing).
Disappointing (from BDJ side) and ominous (from a buyer's side)

Constantin Florea Apologies about the confusion regarding the license policy. I have just contacted the vendor to help clear this up.

For normally discounted promotions (paid promotions) such as this one, we must sell the product under the same license conditions the vendor uses to sell the product on the product site.

Constantin Florea The vendor confirmed that this is a subscription product. Also, there is no registration time-frame limit for the registration code.
