Gary User I've been using file center pro plus for several years now. About 5 years ago I was experiencing stability problems but all those have disappeared in the last 3 years. On occasion, I still have to revert to File Explorer to take advantage of a feature not readily available in File Center (it may be there I just haven't searched on how to implement it) but those instances are few and far between. 99% of the time File Center Pro Plus meets all my needs with a lot more efficiency and options than file explorer. I also have licenses for Xplore2, XYplorer, and easy explorer, all of which are excellent programs but I find the user interface of File Center to be the best.

Cary Adams I ditched Paperport several years ago and never looked back. My only qualm is that "maintenance" is a bit heavy for casual scanners. I may revert to my scanner's program, coupled with PaperlessNGX for document organization. I've been trialing these side-by-side for several months.

Rohs Is there a resource that shows the improvements between version 11 and version 12 of ProPlus?

Also is there a roadmap? When is the next version scheduled to come out.?

How about keeping notes on file history, versions etc?

Bill Sech I like FileCenter. With its scanning profiles, naming profiles, and folder profiles it makes document creation and handling easier and more pleasant. The pdf features are good. jpg annotation might be expanded in a future version to make it even better. It seems to be just the right thing for me at home where I scan quite often. The PaperPort trial I was experimenting with stopped working at all after 2 weeks.

Fletch Version 12 brings Dark Mode - SO much easier on the eyes for those who need/like that.

Their support is EXCELLENT and very responsive.

Maintenance can be pricey but they are quick to fix bugs and release minor updates OFTEN. Major updates not so often. I suspect it's pretty mature now.

It was a learning curve coming from PaperPort but I eventually got used to it.

So far I just use the basic features so I need to learn more about utilizing things like the profiles Bill mentioned above.
