What are people saying about FilePop HD Platinum

Learn_w_ Graffix Can FilePop HD Platinum get past the various copy protection schemes built into DVDs and BDs? Or do we need another program to do that first?

Nov 29 2012 at 5:24am Copy Link

BurnWorld You would still need a plugin for this. AnyDVD is recommended and works seamlessly with FilePop. Free ones works also but may not decrypt everything because they are not updated as frequently. This is the only way we can release this type of software.

Jac A. Does this app support DVD and/or BR convert to MKV with multiple subtitles and audio tracks? Thanks!

VLM NOTE to vendor: On your web page linked above, in the column for this produdt, you have the text "GPU: ATI and Intel Decdoing support". I believe you mean "decoding", not "decdoing". :):)

Regarding your comment above about AnyDVD, do you mean the product(s) by SlySoft?

Also, from the BDJ Policy tab for this promotion, "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed". I'm guessing that you don't mean this, since you also say "Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product." What use would the lifetime upgrades be if one cannot move to more advanced computers, over time?

Bertie Brummel Is this the "FilePop HD Platinum 2013" version mentioned on your website, that includes licenses for 3 PCs?

Dec 2 2012 at 3:04am Copy Link

BurnWorld @Bertie
@vlm the activation will work on 3 pc's at one time. Similar to how you can activate iTunes

LU I am trying to test on Windows 8 64-bit and getting a error upon starting: "FilePop Platinum Main Client has stopped working".

Has anyone else received this error?

Dec 2 2012 at 8:23am Copy Link

Bertie Brummel After installing the trial version I noticed:

- Samsung Galaxy S III - the best selling smartphone - is not on the
list of supported output devices,

- no help function via F1 or otherwise, can't find a manual

- the support -site link under the info tab seems not related to the
software sold here.

Did I overlook something?

Dec 2 2012 at 9:27am Copy Link

BurnWorld @bertie

Yes Samsung Galaxy S III will be added in next update. However setting for Galaxy II are the same, so it will still support S III.

All support and guides/help are on the site that you are taken to. This is the official developers of the software. Our FilePop is a rebranded version made to offer a better value.

VLM Rob Boirun - I think you may have missed this question earlier: "Regarding your comment above about AnyDVD, do you mean the product(s) by SlySoft?"

Dec 2 2012 at 12:19pm Copy Link

BurnWorld Ah yes.... Yes AnyDVD by Slysoft.

BurnWorld Inc. - Dec 2 2012 at 1:20pm Copy Link

Bertie Brummel Meanwhile I installed the and registered the software. Under Edit / Settings / General it allows to switch language from English to German. However, even when the program is closed / re-started the GUI still shows English menus. Do I need to download a specific language file additionally?

Dec 2 2012 at 2:47pm Copy Link

VLM rob boirun - Thank you. I believe that would actually require 2 products from Slysoft, one for DVDs and one for Blu-ray. I'd have to check to be certain of this.

So now my next question: If one buys the Slysoft product(s), what does FilePop add?

Dec 2 2012 at 4:23pm Copy Link

BurnWorld AnyDVD HD does both BD and DVD, so only one product needed. That software just removes any copy protection if there is any present on a disc. For FilePop to access this it must be decrypted. FilePop will do the converting/copying/ripping.

BurnWorld Inc. - Dec 2 2012 at 4:52pm Copy Link

VLM rob boirun - I may be mistaken, but I believe that AnyDVD HD does all these things, as well. Yes? I realize that your product is considerably less costly, that's an advantage. But theirs breaks down the copy protections, a considerable value to some users.

Bill Jones Still need to know if this will work on windows 8 64 bit????? Second request.

Dec 2 2012 at 6:31pm Copy Link

Jac A. I've tried to convert a DVD to MKV with the trial and it does a nice job, BUT I CAN'T select multiple audio tracks and/or subtitles, it just let me select one.

I'm doing something wrong?

Dec 2 2012 at 7:58pm Copy Link

Bill Jones Hi before purchasing does it run flawlessly on Windows 8 64-bit

Dec 3 2012 at 12:39am Copy Link

LU Update to Windows 8 error message that was received and described on the page earlier.

After a "Refreshing" of the PC, using the Windows Disk, and a new install of the software, the software works as expected and no further errors.

Dec 4 2012 at 2:43am Copy Link

BurnWorld Good to see it's working as expected on Win 8 64 bit. I did not come across any issues on our test boxes.

Bertie Brummel @ Rob:

Would you please have the kindness to answer my question from last Sunday? I've sent it to the support mail address too 2 days ago, No answer so far, no acknowledgement of receipt. :-(

Dec 4 2012 at 10:56am Copy Link

BurnWorld oops sorry Bertie. I sent this to the developers to fix. They said the next update they should have a German version in addition to English. So that should help.
