What are people saying about Flip Bundle

Bare Prat Hi!
The information here is about Flip Bundle - going to download-link, there is no Bundel or package - as far as I can see - but different products - for pdf, printer, power point, image, word.

Does this imply the price covers a lot of different programs - or is it only the pdf version. Or how is this to be understood?

At the moment - before the 29 th - the offer is the Deal-price for each program, or am I mistanken?

Roger Thomasson @ Bare P

The bundle price ($79.00) is the cost for all five titles :-)

Yves Ros Hello,

I already use Flip PDF and I am very satistied with it. Yet, as my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits, I wonder : will Flip Printer and Flip Word be available for this OS any time soon ?

Thanks in advance for your kind answer.

Best regards,

Yves Ros

I'm sorry that Flip Printer and Flip Word just can be used on 32-bit systems at present. But other three programs are can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. You can download the versions to have a try first.

Thanks a lot for your comment. - Nov 28 2010 at 5:10pm Copy Link

Carlos Oliveros Hi,

I bought a license.

But interesting in x64 bit versions.
I use Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

You can not currently. We will consider adding this feature later.

Yves Ros Hello,

As I previously mentioned it, I already own a Flip PDF license (order #387W2FG-FCEXC).

If I would purchase the four other apllications of the offered Flip Bundle (i. e. Flip PowerPoint, Flip Word, Flip Printer and Flip Image), could I get a little discount as I have no use for a supplementary license of Flip PDF ?

And, if this was the case, I should I proceed for the payment ?

Thanks in advance for your kind answer.

Best regards,

Yves Ros

Bare Prat Hi !
Will the license permit installation on two different pc's? Due to not 64 bit for the two programs it would be convenient to switch beteween different pc's - but not all the time have to go back to the "main" pc - with the 64 bit-versions. See my point? What is the licence policy - one or more pc's permitted for 1 user? Regards
Nov 29 2010 at 8:05am Copy Link
Nico Westerdale @ Yves, At 80% Off you're still making a HUGE saving even if you own one of the products already.

@Bare, The Policy is detailed in the top right panel on this page.

Yves Ros Many thanks for your answer, Nico.

Considering that two of the programs that interested me the most (Flip Printer and Flip Word ) are not yet available for Windows 7 64 bits versions, I think that I will wait untill these applications will be upgraded to 64 bits.

Randy Martin What does "An invalid character was found in text content" mean?

What should I do about it?

Why, if the software can recognize an "invalid character" and shut down the operation, can't it point out that invalid character so it can be fixed?

Nov 29 2010 at 9:32am Copy Link
William Zheng @ Jeff Stone

Sorry that our license codes are device-based codes, so one single license just can be used on a single device.

@ Randy Martin

Sorry for the inconvenience that might cause. You can try to un-check the option "Enable Search" in "Import PDF" interface, or directly send your file to for us reference. - Nov 29 2010 at 12:38pm Copy Link
Sam Calabrese "Please note: Flip Printer and Flip Word do not support Windows 7 64-bit mode. The other titles in the bundle, however, do operate in 64-bit mode."

1) Does that mean the programs won't run in Win 7 (64), or that the output files won't work in Win 7 (64), or both?

2) I looked at your website but couldn't figure out the advantage to all the individual products versus just making a PDF (say, with Word or PowerPoint) and then using the Flip-PDF program.
Nov 29 2010 at 1:37pm Copy Link
Alice Li @ Sam Cal

1) That means only the two programs won't run in Win 7 (64-bit). The output files will work as long as you have Flash Player installed.

2) Different programs can be used to convert different types of documents. Flip PDF just can be used to convert PDF files, Flip Word converts docs, Flip Image converts images, and Flip PowerPoint converts PPT files. About Flip Printer, it can be used to convert all kinds of printable files, but one file at a time.

Louis Gedo I'm running Win 7 64-bit and wondering if there are plans for the Flip Word& Printer to be updated in the near future to be compatable with 64-bit and when they are, if the update will be free?

Or will these 2 programs always be only 32-bit compatable? That would present a problem with the current license limitation.
Nov 29 2010 at 2:05pm Copy Link
William Zheng @ Louis Gedo

I'm sorry that Flip Word and Flip Printer just can be used on 32-bit systems at present. But it is possible to improve the programs to be compatible with 64-bit systems in future. And as long as you own the license codes, you can upgrade the programs freely forever. - Nov 29 2010 at 2:38pm Copy Link
Yves Ros « But it is possible to improve the programs to be compatible with 64-bit systems in future. » Winston Zhang

Do you mean that Flip Builder intends to make both of these programs compatible with 64-bits systems anytime soon ?
Nov 29 2010 at 6:44pm Copy Link
A. Goyal These 5 programs really have the same engine inside except for the input file format. Thus why price each product separately and make us think the s/w bundle is worth $400 and then sell at a whopping discount?

Free software such as Martview create flipbooks (flip, slide, scroll, pinch etc) from images and pdf's for free so it would be nice if your list price was much more reasonable for the bundle.

Nico Westerdale It should work fine on Win7 John. If you're getting an error the developer's support should be able to help:

Rick Is this an old product description?

I purchased this bundle last year and a few month later A-PDF released 64 bit OS support for both of these products. The Flip Word and Flip Print product pages both state "for 32 bit and 64 bit systems."

I am assuming this is for 64Bit OS support and not 64bit Office support, but I cannot be certain of the latter as I am running Win 7 64bit and Microsoft Office 32Bit. Microsoft Office 32Bit is most common secondary to plug-in compatibility.
Apr 16 2012 at 1:45pm Copy Link
Software Guy Difficult to say exactly what the developer means by their disclaimer. Personally have not downloaded it to try but would like to say that many systems are running 64 bit win7 but also running 32 bit office. Actually if office was pre installed it is a good bet it is running 32 bit. The only real advantage a 64 bit program gains is the ability to save huge files - and I have never seen any that big. Now if you installed office recently and installed it as a 64 bit then you are running full 64 bit office. To give you an example at one site we have about half of the 2500 or so machines running the 32 bit win7 OS and the newer ones in 64 bit. But most (except for a handful) are running 32 bit Office. We run into problems with printers not liking the full 64 bit setups. To print correctly many full 64 bit machines require setup in compatibility mode. Not sure any of this matters much as office programs are not cpu intensive. But it would be handy for the developer to explain the issue just a little more so we understand the exact nature of the problem. And I would really like to hear if the programs will work on a 64 bit os running 32 bit office, as that is the setup most of us have.
Apr 16 2012 at 4:54pm Copy Link
Katherine Sweet I don't have Word. I use Open Office, so I can export in Word format. But the issue is whether the software will run on my Windows 7 64 bit computers. I guess we won't find out.

Rick H Is the licensing of the product based on an annual subscription or is this a one-time license that works in perpituity (until someone decidees to upgrade it?).
