Gary User After posting my question about licenses, I read the fine print that states: "Folder Marker Pro + Extra 10 Folder Icons Bundle is licensed per user, so if more people are going to use Folder Marker Pro + Extra 10 Folder Icons Bundle you will need to purchase additional copies."

Does that mean that if I am the only person who uses my two desktop computers and one laptop when away from my desk, that I only need one license for all three computers?

Ela S. Using Folder Marker Pro and File Marker for years, it has dramatically speeded up my workflow (Win XP - Win 10 64-bit)

May I confirm that it does work in Directory Opus, Listary Pro and True Launch Bar as well. One can mark several folders (or files) and recolor them with one click and vice versa.

I have established a system that all business related folders are marked blue (same as in Outlook categories), studies in purple, technics in grey, asaps in red etc.Using other picture icons may be interesting as well.

What I don't like is that the license is per one PC only - and not per user. In our modern times, I think that most of us have a notebook and a tablet at least. Really wish that the company would rethink this policy.

Red Microuser Description indicates 'per user'
AFTER purchase receipt says only on '1 computer'.
Which is it -- it is not good to change rules after purchase.
I do have notebook and tower computers.

Roman, ArcticLine Guys, Folder Marker is sold under per user/per computer basis. It means you need to have separate license for each computer and each user. Technically we assign the license to the user account you have on the computer.
BitsDuJour doesn't have such a variant in the fine print. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Paul User I always seem to miss these deals by the next day. Makes me wonder why the deal is only 24 hours (is it even 24 hours long?) eventually as a consumer I won't care because I will have moved on from wanting this application. Im starting to feel the after-effects of quick sales whiplash.

Gary User i have a license for foldermaker pro from last year. I want to install foldermaker pro on two computers, so first I'll buy a second copy. I then have three questions:

1. is it less expensive to buy a third copy of foldermaker pro rather than buy a "discounted" update of my first license?

2. The first license came with a different set of additional icons, will I be able to use those with both copies of foldermaker pro?

3. is there any way to synchronize the customer folders between two computers, or do I have to go through customizing each folder on each computer separately? Your description mentions a backup - could I backup on computer 1, then restore that backup on computer 2?

Michael User If I use the software to customize a folder, and then create a shortcut to that folder, does customization apply to the shortcut as well?
