HJ User If a folder is "marked" will it remain marked if it is moved or duplicated on the host or computer or to an external drive? In short, under what circumstances does the marking drop away?

Can a folder in the cloud be "marked"?

Under this license can I use the program on both of my desktops and my laptop?

AL-M712 AL-M712 I've been using this program, despite a significant limitation that it unfortunately presents, that requires a work-around that is cumbersome and should not be necessary.

The problem / limitation with this program is that despite all of the colors; numbering, little symbols and such that can be added to folder icons through the program, it provides just one base folder design -- a vertical standing, open, file, as is seen in its video. This folder design is nothing at all like the traditional well-serving and effective horizontal folder design. In fact, the vertical standing small base folder design provided by Folder Marker does NOT serve to effectively visually distinguish folders / sub-folders from similar oriented and sized FILE icons when seen together in a folder containing files and sub folders. IMO, that is a severe limitation and a disappointment, given that I've communicated this matter to Folder Marker several months ago in response to one of their survey emails; however, there has been no response to it, nor any indication of wanting to add more and better basic folder designs through its appearances on this BDJ site or on its own site.

The workaround I employ to use and assign horizontal icons or of any other design through use of Folder Marker is to create and the icons myself in an icon-creation/editing program. I use the limited Folder Marker program ONLY for quickly assigning of my better made icons to folders, even multiples at a time, rather than by Windows' relatively complex way of doing so one folder at a time. In that regard, Folder Marke does provide a pretty good way of mass assigning of manually made icons to folders.

In balance, it is granted that this concern for visual differentiation applies by and large to those who may not care so much about all of the cutesie decorations of icons for effective visually discernment, so much as just wanting to decorate and color a few basic folder designs, beyond the Windows default nice but mono-color folder icon.

*** One final note: I've notice that folder icons in system restricted folders in Windows, such as User folders, Program Files, and others, cannot be reassigned. I'd love to find a way or a sofftware that could change even the Windows default icons!

Hopefully, the developers of Folder Marker will eventually take note and provide additional designs of base folder icons!

Roman, ArcticLine AL-M712, we are developing a new version now, that will have Windows11-designed icons included for all Windows 11 users. In Win11 folders are landscape-oriented. This version should be released this month.

Plus we are working on an icon editor, so there will be an option to create your own folders.

I.e. we hear ;)

AL-M712 Thank you, Roman. That's great news! I''m looking forward to upgrading / purchasing the upcoming version with the horizontal icons and to check out its icon editor too! I'm hoping that this new version will also work with Windows10.

Daniel User Me again .. new SW, new problem:

I bought exactly this package already on Jan 26 and May 15 this year .... but never downloaded and installed it.

And now when I want to download it - I get a "link expired" message.

Is there any way to get a working link to get the whole package?
