What are people saying about ForceToolkit PRO

Jon Spain Although there is very little identification on the website, and even less on the internet for reviews, they seem to be behind SilentRunn, which was here on 19 Nov 2023. When I queried developer, John Cook from PDFZilla replied, so I guess he's behind this one too, which is fine for me, so I;ve bought. Healthy and Happy New Year.

Stephen Warkentien I just bought this. Where is the download link for the portable version?

Robert Crombie Does it have the option to make a window bottommost ?
If I described this in another way - Pin it to the desktop.
When this is applied, any other opened programs are on top of it.
One thing i would use this for is to pin say notepad to the desktop, and type reminders to myself.

If you make the notepad on the bottommost, when you want to use it then you need to mimimize all other windows.

Robert Crombie Me again.
I realize other windows will have to be minimized, for me to interact with say notepad pinned to the desktop (BottomMost).
HOWEVER, I cannot see in your screen shot an option to make say Notepad bottommost

Thanks for your feedback. We will see if we could add a bottommost option in coming versions.

Gary User I use acrobat pro desktop to scan documents. I move acrobat to screen 2 before starting the scan, but the scan dialog pops up on screen 1. It can be moved to screen 2 but with each new scan it moves back to screen 1 - can this program force the popup to screen 2?

Dunking It seems that one can download this application from the website and run it, presumably as a trial. There is no mention of any limitation, only the option to 'upgrade to pro'. What does buying the upgrade, which seems to be what's on offer here, get you? Or, what are the limits of the trial version?

Gary User The reson I didn't buy this the last time it was offered is because my question was not answered - I'll give it one more try: I use acrobat pro desktop to scan documents. I move acrobat to screen 2 before starting the scan, but the scan dialog pops up on screen 1. It can be moved to screen 2 but with each new scan it moves back to screen 1 - can this program force the popup to screen 2?

Harlen Wiebe Gary User.
I don;t know if this program will do what you need, but I use Display Fusion for multi monitors and that program lets me set a program and all pop ups relating to that program to a specific monitor https://www.displayfusion.com/

You can try to use the "Force to Set Always On Top" for the dialog, even in the free version.

Gary User @ John Cook thanks for the quick reply. The "force to show" option did not work. The scanning in progress popup and ocr popup in Adobe Acrobat insist on being on screen 1 even though the main Acrobat program is residing on screen 2. The force to change position and size feature in your program does work for both of those popups but they still default to the x and y axis on screen 1. They can be dragged to screen 2 while displayed on screen 1, so it seems that your program should be able to relocate them to screen 2 if it had a "screen number" option in addition to the X and Y axis options.

Dunking @Gary User: If this program doesn't do what you want, there are a number of others (that I use) to achieve the same. Depending on what other features you need, check out Actual Window Manager.

(Edit: Sorry, missed the part about moving to different monitor.)

Gary User Despite the program not having an option to specify a particular screen in a multi screen setup, I'm still interested in purchasing the product after using he trial - I can perceive other useful purposes than just trying to resolve my Adobe scanning issue. But, to us it on two desktops and a laptop, how many licenses do I need? I am the only user of all three machines.

Hmmm... So it seems ForceToolkit cannot work for that dialog...

Gary User @Jim Cook yes, it appears that Force Toolkit can only position the object on whatever screen the object internally positions itself. It can move the object in that screen but can't force the object to appear on a selected screen. That would be a great feature for a future version. I think lots of people like me who find Force Toolkit useful probably have dual or triple screens

Some system level processes cannot be terminated due to the Windows stability reason.

Can this program override the ADMINISTRATOR's actions?

It won't modify the Registry and DLLs, and won't override the Administrator's actions either.
