Jacky Tsao Hi Genie,
Q:allows use for 36 months" and after ?
Do I have to purchase again a licence ?
A: after 36 months you could use the Hopedot VOS as before, but you could not get the new upgrade in future.

Q:Do I need to have administrator rights on the host computer to run the virtual machine ?
A: Yes, if you do not have the admin right, it maybe do not run well sometimes.

Adrian Williams Is this a re-bagded Prayaya v3 or is prayaya v3 a re-badged hopedit VOS?
They look very similar to me. Is there any connection. if not, could you suggest why I buy Hopedot having already bought prayaya v3.

Jacky Tsao Hi Adrian,

Both Prayaya V3 and Hopedot VOS are our products. But they have a little difference, special on the coming promotion version- security version or professional version of Hopedot VOS.
The security has more security methods the prevent virus spread between virtual and host OS. More detail please visit: http://www.hopedot.com/pr...ition.html
Thank you!

Jacky Tsao Hi All, I am listing some frequently asked question below during the installation and use of Hopedot VOS Security Version. If you meet the same problems, please check below.
1. Select the install destination disk
Hopedot VOS does not allow users to install to the system disk which is usually your C: disk. So you could install to other local-disk or any USB disk.

2. Create Safe Partition file
The partition file means that the disk space belong to VOS, which used to save your files, data, and apps in VOS. You could not re-size once it is created unless you re-install Hopedot VOS. We suggest you create the safe partition size at least 1GB.

3. Login password and data security management (DSM) password
Login password is used to login to Hopedot VOS. DSM password is used to protect files transfer between VOS and host system. These two passwords do not require must to be the same.

4. Serial number and license
After you successfully place an order on BDJ, you will received and email with serial number in 5 minutes. You could put in the serial number when you first start Hopedot VOS, or after you login VOS, go to the toolbar- setting- about- register to input it. The license is authorized to the user account rather than to computer hardware or USB storage devices. Once you buy a license and activated Hopedot VOS successfully, your account takes effects, and you can login Hopedot VOS with your authorized account on any computer or USB storage device. This discount purchase on BDJ will be guaranteed with LIFETIME USE and with 3 years of free upgrades and technical support. After 3 years, the upgrade and support will be invalid for your license, but you could renew the upgrade license in a discount price.
Any more detail about Hopedot VOS please go to www.hopedot.com or leave messages on this page.
Thank you and enjoy this big discount on BDJ. (This is the first discount promotion we ever made for Hopedot VOS)

Adrian Williams Is there a migration path from Prayaya to Hopedot? For example, I've got a system with all my progams installed in Prayaya. I'd like to avoid having to reinstall them on a hopedot. 'secure' system.

Sililarly - ist there any form of upgrade path from prayaya v3 to hopedot or do I have to pay the full, albeit discounted price ?

TIA.

Becky Pearce Do you have any idea when a 64 bit version will be available?

Adrian Williams Hi Jacky.
Faced with already having purchased a licence for prayaya, I now have to make a choice - what package is being (or will be ) developed further or more quickly ? prayaya or hopedot? I was looking forward to the ability to load profiles in prayaya, games, office etc but that's not available as yet. I can't quite see the logic in developing two very functionally similar products side by side but being incompatible with each other. I'm sure there's a valid reason but from an end users point of view I'm confused as to which would suit me best. I like the secure option of hopedot and i'm already familiar with what prayaya can and cannot do. What would you recommend ?

Jerry Ruggiero Is there any special offer or discount for the Hopedot VOS Professional Edition. I need to use some of the applications that are only supported in the Professional Edition. I wanted to use Prayaya, but 64-bit support was never implemented by the vendor. Thanks.

Martin User I ditto Adrian's comments. I am an owner of prayaya and really need it to work on 64 bit Win7, since this version doesn't either, what would you recommend for current owners of prayaya, especially if security isn't the big concern? What is the future path for each of these products?

Adrian Williams I think I may have achieved the same secure functionality with my existing copy of prayaya. I use a program called safehouse - it's encryption software that allows you to create secure 'drive' on a hard drive, usb pen drive, DVD or blu-ray disk. Once I've created a secure drive I can install prayaya and run just like before, the working files of prayaya stored within the secure drive. When I shut down prayaya I close the secure drive and all my work is stored in one file - just like Hopedot. The added benefit of this approach is I can resize the drive, hopedot can't. I've never seen safehouse offered on BDJ but it's worth the full price to be honest.
