Rent is a nicer term than "pay to try".

Craig Haywood I just installed the trail version. It does absolutely nothing. It just shows a grey box. What am I missing?

Craig Haywood It does absolutely nothing when working with aspx pages. I imported a static html page to my project just to see if it can render static pages and it works for static pages, however, as most of the work done in visual studio involves dynamic pages, this extension is useless as it does not do what it claims.

I have gone through to their website and even read an article about the extension on their blog. Nowhere is there a help file.

If this actually worked, I would buy it right away, but it seems the author still need to iron out some bugs as currently this extension does nothing but show a grey window

Thank you for the screenshot. Your settings look fine. Sorry, don't know why my reply didn't came through.

Is your web application running? Can you open the same page in a standard browser?

What is the page url in the standard browser and what is .apsx file path in Solution Explorer?

I apologize for asking so many questions. I will add diagnostics in the next version to more easily troubleshoot such problems.

The web application runs fine in a standard browser. The page URL in chrome is:
https://localhost:44378/page.aspx

The page is in the website's root under solution explorer.
