Sure, you could get a stack of colored Post-It notes and start planning your project that way. It’s all well and good until a critical task drops to the floor overnight and ends up stuck to someone’s shoe the next day! There’s a better, more efficient and effective approach to visual planning, and it’s in the form of today’s discount software promotion, Hyper Plan!

Hyper Plan lets you plan your work and life in visual, color-coded form, letting you see what you need to do next with just a glance. With Hyper Plan, you’ll be able to select which properties you want to visualize, from tasks and people to priorities and budgets. Click between these views easily. Apply categories to tasks, then assign colors. Or view everything that needs doing in a timeline.

Best of all, when you use Hyper Plan, you’re no longer limited by wall space or sticky note colors! And if you need to see plans from a few months, or even a few years ago, Hyper Plan makes it easy to call them back up just like that!

Hyper Plan Professional edition allows you to add connections between cards. This was the feature requested most by customers and allow dependencies, sequencing, hierarchy and other types of relationships to be modeled. This makes Hyper Plan a lot more powerful and opens up many new application areas, for example you can now calculate schedules and critical paths based on dependencies between tasks.

This promotion includes the following:
Hyper Plan Home Edition v2.10.3 ($40)
Hyper Plan Professional Edition v2.10.3 ($80)

M K G One of the best software I have used. As a satisfied user, I highly recommend it for those needing a tool for Agile Management, PERT, or a simple network diagram, in addition to many other such tools.

bvssunnydale This would be more tempted if it included upgrades for a year (in case a new version comes out) and not just minor upgrades to this version. I have a previous (non pro) version of this and admit I didn't find it especially compelling. Might have been more me than it, though.

Chuck I bought this via a previous BDJ sale, but don't really use it. It looks useful, just haven't *needed* it.

The biggest frustration I have with Hyper Plan is its updates. The update installer purposely creates a new directory based on the update's version. It will *not* overwrite your existing version.

Some see this as a feature, but I see it as a complicating factor, especially if you have some sort of dock or other shortcut scheme to your applications. Just leads to more work.I don't need multiple versions loaded, just the most recent stable version.

As to update frequency, that has lagged since 2016's 2.0 release, probably due to ongoing 3.0 work.

That said, I would appreciate if the Hyper Plan team provided a development update.

We do the installation that way so you can try out a new version without overwriting the previous version.

We are hoping to get v3 out later this year with lots of new features, we never make any promises on dates.

bvssunnydale A full YEAR of updates should be the minimum for any software (in my opinion). This is just a teaser for your "hoping later this year" version 3. Otherwise, I'd be interested. I have a license to ver 2 but, almost as soon as I got it (from Bitsdujour) you guys started inundating me with adverts for the subsequent ver 2 "Pro" edition but the cost (considering I had just purchased 2) made it prohibitive. I know this is a business but I'm sure a lot of your customers feel like you're just playing them. So thanks, but no thanks.

Andy Brice If you by vN then you get all vN releases and vN+1 if it is released within 90 days of purchase. We try to be completely clear about that on our purchase page.

When you say 'inundated' how many emails did you get? It should have been 2 maximum (and only 1 if you clicked unsubscribe in the first one).

If you bought v2.0 in 2016 then you would have been eligible for 31 additional releases we made since then. And you would still be covered by email support. All with no additional payment. I believe that is pretty good value for money.

I don't believe we were 'playing' anyone by releasing an optional upgrade to a professional edition with extra features.
