Ian User Techfixes - Not sure why you are getting this problem, it works fine on our Chrome browser. Check that you have not got a false positive in your Anti-Virus.
You can obviously try a different browser or check your Chrome settings.

Ian User Robin: You will get this message if you try and install the unlock code on previous versions of the software. Can you make sure you downloaded the latest version.
If this still proves a problem, then mail us or raise a ticket on our support site.

Ian User Techfixes... I've now been able to reproduce the problem with Chrome blockages. This is actually the BDJ site, rather than ours. I've forwarded the information to BDJ.

If you (or anybody) hits a similar problem, then you can get the software directly from our site by requesting a trial (in the header of this promotion).

there is no difference in the software between the trial and BDJ versions.

RichU Just an idea, but on the Chrome problem of not allowing download. I experienced this with another download, after a recent Chrome update. I just checked, and there is a newer update available now, so maybe it will fix the problem. If you look at the top, in the icons bar, there is a little green up-arrow. hover over it and it will tell you if there is an update available.

Terry User Would like to have tried this out, but am having the same problem as David Ward.

Everything downloaded and installed fine, but when I try to unlock it in Excel it says the unlock code is invalid or expired. Tried it multiple times, even tried manually typing it in once...

Duane User Download does not finish using Firefox or Chrome. I get a 0KB .exe file and a .part file that stops at 11,134KB each time.

Not ready for prime time?

Ian User Terry I have notified our support team, there seem to be 3(so far) codes with problems. Can you email support@idmb-advisory.com with the exact error message and we will sort it out. (To keep your email out of this public forum )In the meantime, the software will work in Trial mode.

Ian User Duane: the software downloads fine, though we have had some reports of Chrome blocking downloads from the BDJ website. You can download it directly from IDMB Advisory by requesting a trial at the top of the promotion

Techfixes The Program is probably good, and I will try it out later. But I find it discomforting that you get a "License" for a product, Activate that License, and yet are still running in a "Trial Mode" and get Nag Screens every time you open an essential productivity Application you use every day. To my mind that is far too intrusive.

Does the Nag Screen even go away after the Trial (when it presumably reverts to Lite Mode), or are we to be bothered by Advertisements every time we open an Excel Program or File?

In my opinion no amount of functionality or usefulness in the Program could make up for this level of intrusiveness.

If I wanted to "Try" a Program with an "Evaluation Period", it would a very rare occurrence, and it would be a Program that I already have in mind buying. I don't like being tricked into installing "Trialware" rubbish on my Computer.

Having said all that I will test out the functionality of the Program. I have previously purchased or upgraded Software based on an excellent experience with a Lite version of the product.

But unless there is a way to stop the Trial and Nag Screens which NOW COME UP EVERY TIME I OPEN Excel or an .xlsx file, I have a feeling this one is destined for the Bin.

Techfixes Just further to that. I had already activated the Add-In in Lite Mode. I then set the Date on my PC forward by 2 Months. The Trial Expiry message came up.

It did not revert to "Lite Mode" as expected.

The only options were to "Purchase or Activate" (presumably one of the higher versions), or exit. I chose exit. The Add-In was not there anymore. I went into options and enabled it and now get the stupid Nag Screen again. I tried activating the Lite version again and got the same crap about the Trial Mode BS. It says "Lite - Unlocked Version" if I go to Help --> Licenses --> License ID?.

Honestly, if you are "Giving Away" a Registered Product, even a Free "Lite Version", why piss off your (potential) Customers by foisting an unwanted "Trial Version" on them and forcing them to endure Nag Screens for 30 days ???

People on BitsDuJour who liked your "Lite" version would certainly upgrade to higher versions and recommend your Product to others!

Please explain to me how anyone here could possibly recommend it under these circumstances?

Mark Latimer I downloaded and installed the program today (6 hours left). I get an error message when I try to enter the license code 106 (The unlock code is INVALID or has expired). I have done this four times with same results. What gives!!!

Please Help!!!

Ian User Mark Latimer: As per the note above, email us at support@idmb-Advisory.com and we will resolve it for you.

Ian User Techfixes: you were certainly NOT tricked into installing trialware. The Trial and Licenced versions are identical. In addition, the promotion specifically stated you get the full version in Trial mode for 30 days then the software reverts to the Unlocked Lite version.

The screen you are referring to is necessary for users who wish to convert their Trial to a Fully Licenced version, rather than unlocked.

I have passed your comment regarding how obtrusive this is to our development team for review in the next release

Techfixes Thank you. I do have my reservations about whether it WILL actually revert to "Lite" Mode for all the BDJ Users when the Trial Mode runs out, considering the issues a few are having with Activation and my own Testing.

AT LEAST give people a chance to opt-out of the whole Trial Mode business, especially on BDJ. If we wanted Trialware garbage there are plenty of other places we could get it from all over the web, but not HERE !!!

Many a fantastic product has been spoiled by the imposition of draconian Licensing and Activation demands.

David Cutler Avast browser reports that this file contains a uirus or malware - cannot download this file
My panda antivirus also reports this as malware

Jul 2 2018 at 7:55am Copy Link

0

Ian User There is no malware or virus in the software. This is either a false positive from Avast on the file, or a further symptom of the google blockage of the BDJ download. You can download directly from the IDMB site by requesting a trial from within the promotion or directly on www.officesupercharger.co.uk

Techfixes I am pleased to see a new version released so soon. I do a lot of work with Excel and will look into the product further. Unfortunately because I set my Time Clock forward 2 months I keep getting the Trial message even after uninstall / reinstall which says something about the time having been altered. I will troubleshoot this further when I have a moment.

Ian User Techfixes That looks like you have triggered one of the protections around the Trial period. (To stop people extending the trial by playing with system dates) There is nothing you can do at your end to fix it. However, if you contact websupport

idmb.uk (This will open a support ticket), we can help you resolve it. We need to either give you a temporary licence or follow a code sharing process to remove the date lock.

Obviously, the unlocked version or a full licence will be unaffected, only your ability to run a trial version.
