Want to more effectively manage your projects, but tired of trying applications that demonstrate little experience with what project managers actually do? Give it one more shot with today’s discount software program, an app designed by project managers for project managers called IDMB Project Assistant!

IDMB Project Assistant is a cloud-based application that lets you define and navigate a project from initial kickoff through to final delivery. With IDMB Project Assistant, you’ll be able to define scope, workstream charters, and deliverables. What’s more, IDMB Project Assistant gives you all you need for requirements analysis, definition, prioritization, and change management. Plus, there’s a robust set of features for risk and issue management.

Project managers will love IDMB Project Assistant for its management dashboards and reporting functions that provide insight into the health and direction of any project at a glance. Throw in support for multiple users and an intuitive interface, and IDMB Project Assistant is all you need to manage projects of any size and complexity.

The vendor decided to make available the ‘Requirements Assistant' (Beta) version. This tool allows users to capture and prioritize project requirements, produces time and cost estimates and allows you to create a detailed definition of requirements for entire projects, individual phases or Agile scrums.

After you purchase IDMB Project Assistant, it may be used for 12 months.

This promotion includes the following:
IDMB Project Assistant - 1 Year License ($144)

Bruno Verschraegen From the "get This..." button we are led to a "Free Signup" page. Which is fine, except that the signup asks to specify a Project Name that cannot be changed later. Expanding that section, there is a statement that " A User can only have one project".

Why is there no mention of tis restriction in the promo page pr the Fine Print? I am sure you'd get more potential users wanting to try it out when being upfront about such restrictions than when one has to find out when signing up and then being halted having to think this over and potentially abandoning altogether.

peaceworks Thank you Bruno Verschraegen for sharing that concern, as it is certainly a concern of mine as well.

I would add that anyone considering availing of today's offer might be wise to read Terms & Conditions attached to the use of IDMB Project Assistant, particularly item 4.6 as it may be an issue to some potential users, in areas of privacy and confidentiality. For those who wish, a demonstration is offered on the IDMB website.

I would really like to give today's offer a go but not sure it's suitable for my needs.

In any case, I'd like to thank BitsDuJour and IDMB for today's generous opportunity; a high quality product as usual.

Ian User Bruno Verschraegen: The Project Assistant is licenced 'by project', hence the restriction on a single project per user. If you need two projects then you need two licences. At Free, this is not really a big issue. I will look at updating the promotional materials, but as you say it is clear on the signup page, so we are not trying to be underhand or secretive about it.

Ian User peaceworks The Terms and Conditions are pretty standard for a web application of this sort. Term 4.6 refers to checking credit agancy references. This only applies if we are extending credit and is normal business practice. In fact checking credit is something you would do whether it is in the Ts&Cs or not!

peaceworks Thank you Ian User for taking the time to supply clarification.

I can't speak for anyone else commenting but, I had no intentions of casting aspersion on your services. Any potential user with concerns should be free to comment and pass concerns on to others considering offers here. I simply exercised a freedom with no agenda other than that.

In fact, that's "something you would do whether it is in the Ts&Cs or not!"

Bruno Verschraegen I checked again and, unless mistaken, nowhere can I find a reference to the fact that the product is licensed 'by project'. Not even in the full license

Instead the text "your projects" (not "your project"), "any project at a glance" (not "your project at a glance"), "manage projects of any size and complexity" (not "manage your project whatever its size and complexity"), "entire projects" (not "your entire project"). And where license is referred to, the text says "licensed per user" (not "licensed per user and per project" or "licensed per user and for one project").

Are you saying also the full paid-for product is for a single project license only? if yes, at what point do paying customers discover that? If not, why not state that "by project" is a restriction applying to the promotional offer?

Ian User Bruno Verschraegen ,As I said previously, we will update the promotional material to make it clearer. Paid customers can see the restriction before they sign up and if they still sign-up in error, we operate a 30 day money-back guarantee.

Jack Fountain "Free means Free. No commitment, no time limit. Use the software for an much as or as little as you like." This is from the 3rd screen of your screenshots. I would prefer that version to the one year license version offered here. How do I get that one?

Ian User Sorry, but that is an old offer that is no longer available. The only difference betwen that offer and the one here is that we now limit the time a FREE licence is valid. In this case, it is valid for 1 year, otherwise everything else is the same.
