What are people saying about iFinancer Income & Expense Tracker

Vipin User Why does this looks like a clone of Buxfer (https://www.buxfer.com) to me? And I think this one is an online platform, Isn't (and so do Buxfer)? How safe is my data on your server, and what guarantees the data is safe in case you are taken over by bigger sharks or in worst case goes bust (I hope not so!!!!). This last one is the main reason I didn't used Buxfer.

HJ User It does not make any sense to me to use an online application to keep track of personal or business financial records. This type of record keeping and report is easily done on most home computers. It is not clear to me why this company requires everything to be saved (and computed??) on their cloud.

As regards access on different devices, a user of a non-cloud application can easily can easily make all or some of that data available remotely and can enter material on remote devices to later import into the non-cloud application.

It seems to me that the risk and cost are not worth whatever additional convenience that a program like this provides. The last paragraph says that all is provided for a one-time purchase. Does that mean there are no cloud costs, forever, after the one-time purchase? What assurance is given that data, including data from prior years, will be available years from now?

From the 'fine print" this license is good for only one computer and one user. Thus, as I read it, if a person wants to access the data from other devices, an additional license must be purchases. Similarly, if more than one person is given access, they must each purchase a license for each device.

Perhaps I have missed something. If so, I would appreciate it if the provider will post clarifying comments.

Richy Believe it or not, I'm still using my Microsoft Money 2006 which was discontinued years ago, minus all of its' online features, and it works great. I don't want to use any online services for my personal financial records keeping.
True, I'll transfer money/pay bills online VIA banks/cards I have accounts with BUT I won't use a third party app holding ALL OF THAT personal info to conduct my finances with.
I wish you well, iFinancer.
