What are people saying about Image Filter Pro 100

Stefan Hauber I like the idea of being able to use own filters from within your program.

Is it possible to create them in C too?

Can I access from within this DLL to some already created filters (or certain special functions offered by your program (e.g. in form of another DLL))? So it would be possible to use some of your effects only for certain parts of the picture. (So. e.g. recognize certain forms, e.g. faces and do some of the filter-functions on the space outside the faces only).

Constantin Florea Hi Stefan.

Thank you for your interest in Image Filter Pro 100. To answer your questions could you please refer to this link on the Image Filter Pro forum:

Thanks!

Constantin Florea Hi, Please notice that in the trial version of Image Filter Pro 100 you cannot access all the sites you type in the address box (this is a trial limitation). You can however use default sites like http://images.google.com/ and http://images.search.yahoo.com/ which give you the possibility to fully test the way Image Filter Pro 100 works with images. The registered version of Image Filter Pro 100 has no such limitations. Thanks!

Michael R Hello Florea,

is it possible/planned to do (some of) these things also via command-line-arguments?
May 14 2010 at 8:16pm Copy Link
0
Constantin Florea Hi Michael,

Yes it is possible and this is one idea we also thought about. It is planned in our development path along with numerous other features. So far the sections best suited for command line implementation are of course:
- acquiring images from web sites either into the 'My Images' section of Image Filter Pro or into a special folder
- batch processing
- filtering individual images, a group of images or entire folders using specified filters (or filter groups)
- other smaller functions like generating one big image out of a group of images (for example all images found in one folder).

But any feed back on what else would be desired is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your interest in the application!

Michael R. Last time when this offer occured, this May, I asked about command-line arguments. Your answer was, it is planed and you gave some good ideas what is about to come.

Is there already any advance in that feature?

Constantin Florea Hi Michael. We are hopping that by the end of this year 2010 to release the new Image Filter Pro version containing the command-line argument feature.

Cathy Gould what caught my eye was this:Acquire images from the Web and from your hard disk: using the built-in browser. Browse any web page on the internet or any location on your hard disk and the images found there are automatically retrieved for you.

What I got when I tried it was:

1. There was a problem trying to save all images!
2. Could not save image C:\Users\hcg\AppData\Roaming\Iconico\ImageFilterPro\Storage\TEMP\LocalTemporaryFolder\tmpImg_dd7faef8-1a3d-4508-81fc-bb9b8ffc8634_nav_logo27.png
3. Could not save image
4. Could not save image
5. Could not save image _...........

149. Could not save image C:\
150. Could not save image C:\Users\mypc\AppData\Roaming\Iconico\ImageFilterPro\Storage\TEMP\LocalTemporaryFolder\tmpImg_69813b7e-4ce8-

it couldn't save ANY images! What's the deal? What am I missing?

Please advise!?

Constantin Florea A new version has been released which contains functionality to show the reason why the save was not possible in Cathy's case. After installing the new version, Cathy reported that the error is not obtained anymore. Also as a result of discussing the issue, we've got a series of improvement ideas related to the image saving feature of the application. The ideas have been written down and will be implemented in the upcoming version.

DrTeeth I always test software without reading the manual at first, just to gauge how intuitive the software is. I do not expect to he able to fully use every program (but often have) but I do not expect to come to a brick wall when trying to enter a path to my files as I did here.

I was one the verge of buying without trying to support BdJ/Iconico.

cyanic I still cringe at the UI design, every single time. Why deviate from the accepted GUI design standards? It's not as if collapsible panels and large icons on the top are any easier to use than a standard toolstrip and menus. Seriously, someone needs to take a GUI design lesson.

A couple of specifics: The Contact button is more like the help menu on a regular Windows app. Name it as such. At most I'm contacting your server for help content, but wording it as such is just confusing. Also, on the key entry form there are two buttons, one was Check and there was another one. Why is there a check button? Register the darn app if the key's valid, or throw an error otherwise. Don't confuse your users.

internet explorer Wonder why this program does NOT show up in my All Programs List in 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium? Could it be that the developers simply forgot or is something else going on here? It's actually kind of irritating to have to go all the way down to Start/Computer/Programs x86 just to confirm that the software is now showing up as fully installed. Hope it is as good as the writeup.

Jim Buchanan I am getting so fed up with Facebook. I did the like thing and nothing. I did the survey thing and nothing. So Bits got their 'like' and "Iconic" got their 'like' at least 3 times and I have frustration.
Well, I've made my mind up. This is the last time I will try to use Facebook for a deal and the last time I do that (sorry to say) excuse for a survey. By the way a definition of survey is " A gathering of a sample of data or opinions considered to be representative of a whole". Saying press the like buttons for each is not a survey but forcing a person to use Facebook buttons.
Okay I've let off steam but am also disappointed that I won't be getting the program. Then again, rules of the deal sre the rules of the deal.
Thanks anyway. I'll check for other deals again but will not take it if it involves Facebook or 'Like' buttons. you guys do a great job.

@All Norton Users:
Bob Horton said:
".... detects this application as WS Reputation.1 ...."
That was NOT a confirmed Threat Warning!!!
That warning is part of their "Cloud Feature".
All that means is that there is insufficient information about the safety of this file to determin whether or not it is safe!
NOTE that: in order for this Warning to appear, all other virus and malware checks have alreadybeen succefully completed with a NEGATIVE result. You CAN turn this feature off in your OPTIONS. I have chosen to leave it on as an extra security measure for my information, but MOST (people) would consider the inconveience NOT worth using.
You're going to see that warning almost every time you install a program that writes modified files to your "Temp Directory" upon installation.

I hope that helps!

JMJ Squared Nice piece of software. Thanks.

@Constantin - Your usual confirmation email has a correct download link but, even though I'm sure the mistaken download is safe (per VirusTotal) for safety/clarity sake, shouldn't BRENT CAREY's link be removed?

Brent Carey @Constantin: Next time I will email you problematic links. May I use the one you sent the corrected info to me or is there another one? I do not usually post links here, but the sake of not knowing where to send it....I did this time. Thanks a million!! :)

Kevin Flateau I filled out the form then clicked next. Went to a page and said there was an error with the server, Please click your Back button. When I do that it tells me I have already downloaded it once and can't have it again.
Thanks!

DroidLuvr Have there been any updates to this program at all since 2010?

If not, are there any plans to keep up with the development with Win7, Win8, and now 8.1?

William Todd Avira's free anti-virus reports that the download contains InstallCore.Gen7 adware. Since I don't care to wrestle with uninstalling it completely I'll pass.
