We probably don't need to tell you that every time you download or install a new game, application, or software update, changes are made to your computers system files and registry. Too many of these little changes (or just a single big one) can lead to an unstable system that lags, crashes, and runs like molasses.

InstallSafe allows you to take proactive, pre-emptive steps against this inevitability by making it as simple as possible to 'roll back' your system to point in time when it was stable.

With razor precision, InstallSafe minutely tracks every teeny-tiny thing that gets changed between the installation start and the installation end. This means that every change is tied to a particular application, so if and when you need to roll back, InstallSafe will only undo the changes it needs to, minimizing the chances of rolling back any other installation.

Best of all, InstallSafe only makes backups of your system files, so a roll back will never alter or destroy any of your data.

mike b The developer's website (http://www.cadencedatasoft.com/) shows only a "coming soon..." page.

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

GB Blanch Can't you do the exactly the same with a Windows system restore? I 'm curious what the difference between what a system restore does and what this software does and I don't see the issue addressed on the company website.

Anand Bhalve With system restore you cannot tell operating system what operation you about to perform however this flexibility is available via InstallSafe. This allows underlying operating systems modules to do system restore point creation job better.
Well behaved application installations handle this, however with freeware and low cost software this may not be the case.

Following operation your can specify with InstallSafe
1) Application installation
2) Application un-installation
3) Device driver installation
4) Restore of backup data

JP Simpson It's not often that I feel inspired to write a negative review, but I'll do it this once to save people time. I decided to give the trial version a run and here's what happened:

It's got the most convoluted download and install procedure I've ever seen: you have to download a file which downloads an install.exe file which is actually a zip file, so you have to unzip the files and hunt for the setup.exe file. When you finally get it going, a registration screen comes up and instead of telling you it's a trial version, it makes you type in some numbers. Then, and only then, a message comes up saying you need Net 2.0. That's as far as I got. What a waste of time! This company needs to take a course in making programs easier to use before doing any more development.

Anand Bhalve 1) The trial version that you tried is offered thru "RegNow", if you download directly from our website your will directly get The MSI package and Setup.exe in a zip!
2) We believe the install should prompt if prerequisites are not there so that.
a. User doesn't have to read manual and find out.
b. And we don't want to upgrade third party components directly because user may have a reason to use older version.
3) We have already listed prerequisites for this product under product specifications.
