What are people saying about JoyBidder eBay Auction Sniper Pro Edition

Kate Hadley I have two computers in my house - one is a Mac, one is Windows. I would like eBay Auction Sniper on both machines. Do I have to buy 2 licenses or will 1 license be OK for both the computers?

Also does the download contain the installers for both Mac and Windows? Or is it a separate file?

Thank you in advance.

Michael R. Does this work for all countries, e.g. ebay.de, ebay.co.uk, ...

Since it can be used only 1 year, is it actualized as soon as ebay changes it's format (and I suppose they will do this once a while to prevent this kind of bindding)?

After this year: How much does a renewal cost? Is there a discount for former users?

JoyBidder Support Hi, Kate Hadley,
You only need to buy 1 license for all of your computers, including Windows, Mac and Linux. You have max 5 computers registered with 1 license at any time. If you need to more than 5 computers, send email to joybidder.support

gmail.com to request.

Thanks

Robert Reese Is this stand-alone software that can be used indefinitely, or does the software/plug-in require calls to your server or other third-party (non-ebay) web server?

Aug 1 2011 at 9:33am Copy Link

Andy Kemper It is just wrong that this a subscription service. The product should be a perpetual license in which you can sell updates to the program for those who want them (and pay more for them).

JoyBidder Support Hi, Robert Reese,

This is a stand-alone software. It directly place bids from your computer to eBay web site. The software periodically connects to joybidder.com to check for license expiration time and newer version updates.

Thanks

JoyBidder Support Hi, Andy Kemper,

Whenever eBay make site changes that affects JoyBidder. We will immediately analyze the change and release update. This usually happens several times a year. If by changing for updates, not only will it cost more, and also it is not as convenient for JoyBidder users.

Thanks

Software Guy This is useful software if you bid on ebay. The software runs on your machine so your machine must be on at bid time. But it does free you to do other things when the auction ends - which is when all of the action happens.
If you are not an ebay regular, you might ask why??? because placing a bid early allows others to slowly pick away at your bid and drive the price up. It also allows for shill bidding - that is where the seller has his friends drive up the price of an item using special tactics to carefully not exceed your maximum bid. Last minute bidding prevents these from happening. This software makes you an instant bidding expert - at least for the process.
Auction Sniper Pro is annual license software because the vendor must change it as ebay changes their auction formats. In the past the renewal has been $9.95. Some may not like this format BUT think of it another way - it can save you far more than $9.95 and free your time in the event that you have other things to do (like work, school activity, are in transit etc) when the auction goes off.
Granted, there are the thrill junkies that love to get the heart racing by placing a last minute bid in the closing seconds of an auction to see if they can win using their well developed sniping techniques - they bid for sport. By using this software some of the excitement of thrill bidding is lost - but for the rest of us it is a great convenience.

Stefan Hauber Can I run the software on all of my computers with a single license?

Would be useful, because so I would have a choice which computer I let be turned on on auction end.

JoyBidder Support @Stefan, you can run the software on all of your computers, including Windows, Mac or Linux, as long as these computers are for your own personal use.

JoyBidder Support JoyBidder Pro Firefox Addon is full-fledged application on its own. It has exactly the same features as that of Windows or Mac version. So you don't need both Windows and Firefox Addon version of JoyBidder.

But you can choose to install and run both, they will behave as two separate program, i.e, the data is not shared between them.
