Do you find yourself continually accessing the same programs and files, and wish you could speed up the process and become more efficient and productive? Well, your search ends with today’s discount software promotion, Launcher!

Launcher is a portable file and application launcher, empowering you to manage shortcuts and launch programs on your own computer as well as others. With Launcher, you’ll be able to organize shortcuts to your favorite files and programs just by dragging and dropping them into the application window, with the ability to build sub-folders and configure launch options.

Best of all, you can include command line parameters in the application shortcuts, specific the program window state when run, and launch all programs within a specific Launcher folder with just one click, either simultaneously or sequentially. And if you install Launcher onto an external USB stick, you can take it with you to have your shortcuts with you on any computer!

HJ B What can Launcher do that is not already done by Windows 11 in the task bar and in its Start menu?

Yes. Simply copy the generated shortcuts folder.

For one you can use it in portable mode:

(Personally I appreciate menus that Windows does not mess with. But importing menus from Windows may be a good idea.)

You can rearrange items using mouse/drag in "Manage items"

(But I assume you mean drag items around from inside the menu?)

Will get back to you regarding KeyManager. (Feel free to email)

jay User Feature I have not seen on ANY launcher: ability to attach searchable notes and tags/keywords to a program. When I install program Alpha, I should have ability to add tag X & Y, and notes that include "can do XX which is good for YY, and here is the URL, etc". Then a year later when I am looking for a program that is good for YY a search will bring it up, allowing me to launch it.

1a. As to my item 1, I have figured out how to copy over all of the links that are in the Windows 11 start menu. Open the start menu, and right click on one of the menu items. That will bring you to a folder of links for all of the start menu item. Highlight all of those links, and with one drag, all of those links are brought over into Launcher..

1b. A similar move can transfer the taskbar links to Launcher.. The Launcher link file in Windows 11 is at C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

Once all of that is moved, the user can delete from Launcher any items not wanted to appear on the Launcher menu.

2.As regards my second point, I am suggesting that there be a button, within Launcher, that alphabetizes the Launcher menu. For me, at least, an alphabetized list makes it easier for me to find what I am looking for.

3. On of the things I particularly like about Launcher is that any document file (.eg. Word, Excel, Text, etc can be created, saved and then have a link inserted on Launcher. For example, if you can create a ToDo list form or a time and billing form, or a phone list and quickly summon the form up from the Launcher menu..
