Chris Roy Jackson Is there any "relationship" between "Pascal" and "Delphi" ? and if so, WHAT ???

Kimmo Lahtinen @Chris, Delphi is an extension of Pascal. The standard Pascal is quite limited, so there has been several more practical versions of Pascal language over the years.

I noticed that the same course is available in Udemy, is it possible to buy the course there with the same price?

Chris Roy Jackson I have a UDEMY Account, but I have not looked for it, so don't know if it's available there (or not).

Kimmo Lahtinen @Chris, I wonder if that Database program written in Delphi is available? I could be interested.

Huw Collingbourne Chris. Delphi is a visual design environment and language created by Borland but now owned by Embarcadero. It uses Object Pascal and is a commercial (expensive!) product but it is well established in the industry. Lazarus and Free Pascal provide similar functionality, cross-platform and free. This course is available on Udemy at the regular price of $149.

Best wishes
Huw

Kimmo Lahtinen @Huw, thank you for the information about Udemy. Perhaps I need to wait for a special discount from them as I am not sure if I want to register to an other site for training.

I don't know where you'd find it... I would have to search an old Hard Drive ( that is in another location from Whewre I am right now) in order to find my copy!!
That was over 20 Years ago that I was using it ( around 1992 ).

I am sorry, I did not mean you need to dig that far, I just hoped that perhaps you remember the name of the software, so that perhaps I could find it using google. Compiling that old software with the current version of Delphi is not easy. In theory I do have all Delphi versions, so that could be solved.

Chris Roy Jackson @Kit Kagaya

I just remembered that The Database I mentioned MAY be on my first Laptop (which isn't too far from here). I will be able to check on it within the next two weeks and If I am correct (about that), I will post the name of it here for you. Sorry, but I don't REMEMBER the name of it. I can't remember if I Bought it, or if it was a "Giveaway" (from PCMag or something)!
As I recall the DataBase was flexible enough for Record keeping of Inventories, etc. but I really don't remember what its limitations were or WHY I wanted to expand it. If it's NOT on that Laptop, it's on an older drive that needs to be recovered and THAT could be awhile!
