Paul Cohn What's the difference between the Inquiry and OE product lines? Is Inquiry a simpler version of OE with less setup and options and more browser integration to make it easier to use for less technical user? I could not find a comparison on your site between OE and Inquiry but found the comparisons between the Inquiry and OE standard and pro lines.

I've been using the OE Pro trial and intended to purchase 2 copies when it was on this site a few weeks ago but forgot about the time difference and missed it by an hour or so. I'll get them next time they are on this site but I think I'll buy a copy of Inquiry Pro for a less technical friend but wanted to clarify my understanding of the differences. Thanks, you have a great product in OE.

Thank you for your question.
Offline Explorer was designed to download whole Web sites or their parts, while Inquiry - to save individual web pages. Inquiry is a more like enhanced Favorites/Bookmarks store, where you save not only links, but page contents with full-page search, export, management, etc. features.

So, if you need to save just single pages, Inquiry will do this. If you need to download and browse offline more than single pages, but Web sites, then you need Offline Explorer.

Stefan Hauber Is this a subset of your formerly offered Offline Explorer Pro? Or can I do useful things I can't do with Offline Explorer Pro ? Do they have a compatible format?

Alexander Bednyakov Offline Explorer Pro downloads whole sites. It is like the heavy artillery.
Inquiry allows to store the current pages or even page text selection quickly, using the categorized tree view panel. Inquiry is the Internet researcher tool with the ability so categorize information, add necessary comments, assign the citation information... Later you can make the full-text search in the stored pages, export pages to the different formats, send by email. User interface of inquiry is simpiler than Offline Explorer's one.

Howard Beard Long time user of this product and it's far superior to anything else out that provides similar functionality. Among the hidden treats is the ability to automatically create Cite's in various standards including MLA, APA, Chicago and CBE (Professional Version).

I use it fanatically for capturing receipts and paid bills which is almost exclusively done online these days.

There is not really much comparison between Offline Explorer Pro which I also use but they are distinct products with very little overlap.
