Virus Scan for MovieJack

Shazza The fine print says this will not work after 1 year - is that in fact correct, or is it just a case of not getting updates after 1 year?

Will this get videos from Wistia?

It says just put the URL of the video in to download. Course content etc. is often embedded in other pages - does MJ parse the page to get the actual video file URL, or does the user need to figure that out and then supply it?

Does this software require Java Runtimes to be installed - what is the development language used?

Cheers

Engelmann Software @Shazza

To be exact it will potentially work after a year and one day/ or one month/ or six months if and that is a big if, the portals do not make any changes.

It would have to be the actual video file URL. So for a YouTube video you should be on youtube.com for example.

No Java runtimes required!

Shazza Thanks

I was interested enough to visit and download, however before actually installing I’m interested as to whether you have an explanation for the following:

Your site has all these “credentials” at the bottom, and I started checking those out. For example, you can check to see if the site really is trusted by mcafee and when I do that check, your site doesn’t turn up. Can you explain that?

I just checked McAfee here and it showed up fine for me. Feel free to contact our support team with a screenshot:

Happy to investigate that!

David F I sure wish an application like this (or something else) was capable of letting me grab some clips of Amazon Prime or Netflix. I want to grab a video with this app, and then I would chop-it-down in another app. Because I want to show a little clip of something to my students. Would this allow me to grab from those sites? Or do you have a list of sites that it is capable of grabbing from? Thanks.

David F ALso, please put a list of the sites that it will work with. That would help. I studied your website and didn't see anywhere the list of functioning websites were provided. Thanks.

Thanks for the questions. :-)

Sites it will work with:
YouTube
Facebook
(not for private videos, e.g. of friends)
Vimeo
(not for private videos)
and a number of German TV sites like ard.de & zdf.de

It does not work on Prime or Netflix although we're currently looking into this. :-)

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Wade Townsend Hi, I bought this software in disc version a couple of years ago and forgot all about it till now... Is my disc version still good or should I be submitting my request to your Support team?

Thanks..

Engelmann Software @Wade Townsend:

Happy to have reminded you of that! If you've never activated it the key should be fine and ready to use. :-)

Please start our software with a right click and the option "Run as administrator" to try.

If you have already activated it a couple years ago the updates will have made it pointless to install.

Feel free to check with our support if that doesn't work out! We're happy to check!

Have a great day
Frank

Robert Crombie Video downloaders (like this one) MUST have the ability to update to compensate for changes done by youtube etc. (I am calling that an adjustment below)
If we purchase this giveaway today, does it provide future adjustments for ever ?
