RS Given that MSTech had extended this deal to a third day, but they still have not clarified the terms of their installation policy--their comments have contradicted the terms listed in the 'Fine Print,' and there is no mention of the policy on their website--I would ask BDJ to get involved and require the developer to publish these terms on this site. I purchased this deal on Tuesday, absent this information, despite my requests in this thread. And, I sent MSTech an email requesting clarification, but they have failed to respond. Based on the comments of BDJ members, who indicate that MSTech enforces a user-hostile policy, if clarification is not forthcoming, I will demand a refund.

A developer's policies should not be shrouded in secrecy, and its terms should be clear with explanations readily forthcoming. When they do not meet this standard, BDJ should demand adherence, or refuse to showcase such software on this site.

HJ User The installation limitations are very clear, as set forth in the "Fine Print" ttab of this page. . While I understand user efforts to get the developer to relax those limitations, the software is a bargain, with those limitations, if it does what they claim. Some of the support responses are at a bit of variance to the fine print tab. My impression is suggesting that if you want to transfer to another computer, the sales people may be willing to make an exception.

Jon Spain Thanks, that's not quite my point. If the developer has something to say to one of us, why not just share it here with all of us? Easier, faster and more open, no?

HJ User @Jon Spain. I understand your point, and I do think some of the support responses have been inartful; however, I understand why the developer may wish to keep exceptions as discretionary matters, rather than committing to an exception that would make the policy meaningless.

That said, I wish all developers would permit me to use their products, for one price, on all of my personal devices. At the very least, on offers such as this, they should make a provision that, once you have given the software a good try (say within 30 days), you can purchase at this price for your other devices.

RS HJ User: You are misstating the issue: The developer can impose any policy he wishes, but he owes it to his users to clearly define its terms. The listed terms aren't so clear: does no transfer to another computer mean to one you currently own, or that you must purchase a new license each time your buy a new computer or upgrade your current one if it changes the activation footprint? The matter has been further confused by the developer's reference to "permanent" transfers. How is this defined?

These are the questions I have asked, and the developer's response has been evasive when I've gotten a response at all. Accordingly, I renew my request that BDJ pursue the matter on behalf of its members.

Thanks for your comments, I already mentioned before on this page, if the transfer is permanent we will simply deactivate the old device and activate the new device. But if you wish to use the software on 2 different computers at the same time, you can but an extra license with a fare amount of price. and for the price you should contact our sale team. Since you are purchasing and offer your prices will be different.
But if you are a new user you can check our website and see the price list for each product. we have options for up to 5PC on our website. But if the user wants more copies we will make extra offers for them.

RS MSTech Andrew: Thanks for your prompt reply to my last posting. However, it is, once again, non-responsive to my queries. And, it is disingenuous to suggest that I am looking to run your software on two computers simultaneously, given that that term is clearly stated: each computer requires a separate license.

All of my questions, which remain unanswered, relate to what constitutes a "permanent" transfer. Does this mean that if I purchase a new computer or upgrade my current one in a way that changes the activation footprint my current license will be rendered invalid? If so, then the lifetime upgrade offer is fairly meaningless, as most BDJ users likely upgrade their hardware every few years. As I indicated previously, I have transferred licenses for certain software titles to at least seven different systems over the past 20 years.

Accordingly, I request that you define in detail what you mean by a "permanent" transfer. Is that a one-time transaction, or will you honor new computers and upgrades? Can this be done every six months? A year? Never? What about hard disk crashes that require a new installation? All I'm looking for is clarity so I can determine whether or not to keep the software I purchased.

I assume the latter, but your words seem carefully chosen as if to reference a single incident so I want to be sure.

Assuming that transfers to new computers and upgrades are allowed, then it would follow that you would also allow installations when a hard disk crashes, considering that would be a hardware upgrade. Beyond these situations, transfers are not permitted.

Please confirm that my assumptions are correct in each situation I've cited, so that we can put this matter to bed. I will be satisfied if that is the case, and will look forward to using your software.

John Miesionczek I made a purchase of a few programs and was charged almost $80.00. I got the receipt from MSTech and it listed the price About $50.00. What is the price for their anniversary Pack. The way it is listed I understand the price to be $19,99. Where's My Refund.

RS John: You probably selected individual programs instead of selecting the first listed item, which was the bundle that includes all of those programs. So, you had better buy the bundle tonight, before the deal expires, and then get refunds for the individual programs.

The good news is that BDJ handles the money, so you likely won't have a problem. I'm still trying to get a clear answer on MSTech's terms of use, and they keep avoiding the issue, making me believe that you'll not be able to transfer these programs more than one time to other computers. You might want to consider that before making a purchase.

Hallo,
what has happened to my questions regarding mstech anniversary bundle?
I asked 2 questions (altgr +q problem with german keyboard, starting safety remove when wantîng to write@ is with no doubt caused by mstech,
the accent problem as I wrote at least suspicious to be related to mstech.
I had hoped to get an answer and solution in order to buy an additional package from bdj and to recommend it to some (german) friends in case mstech would have posted a solution since the programs would be fine without these problems., but with these problems they are unusable for me.

Q Hello Andrew and Mary,
I was able to install all the software included in the bundle; however, I still have two issues:

1. Search in Contents Pro crashes as soon as it lunches: I had a .NET error and I was told to install .NET 4.8. Upon checking .NET and C++ packages, I had all .NET (4.8) and C++ pre-requisites (2008 - 2019 x32 and x64). What else could be needed as pre-requisites?

2. ICON pack installation gives me 'error submitting your request' whenever I add the serial # to the proper window and select OK!
To this date, I could not download any pack and I re-installed the software as well.

Is it possible to download all packs from the website and not from the PC using the key, this way the premium pack gets downloaded and not the free pack?
