Irena One Up Ltd. Hi, My Music Collection is a Windows application which allows to add music by inserting music CDs, by scanning barcodes or you can just type the title and My Music Collection will fetch all album information from the Internet, including artist, title, release year, cover image, etc.

Chester Hello Bertie,

1. Program has online search feature which searches for records through services like Discogs, MusicBrainz, iTunes and Last.fm - if ROIO record you're searching for is in one of those databases it will find it. Alternatively, you can always add records yourself manually.

2. Import is not possible possible at the moment. I am however working on new version at the moment, and Import will be added from other sources, I don't see however, how and what data do you want to import from text file. So, if you have a suggestion on how do you see this feature for importing from text file, I would love to hear it. What exactly does your text file looks like?

3. At the moment, it's one by one. Tracks are usually added automatically when searching for a record in one of the online databases.

Bertie Brummel Maybe there's a misunderstanding.

ROIO is a widely known abbreviation for "Recording Of Independent Origin"(formerly often called "bootleg)

I used to believe that this term is known among music collectors.

Many of these ROIOS are not illegal because a lot of musicians are taper friendly and allow recording and sharing among fans as long as no money is involved. Even Mr. Springsteen does allow to tape or share AUD recordings!

Of course, these recordings nearly always come up without any barcode and do not appear in the usual official data bases. However, they usually include simple *.txt - files with setlists and other info re. the show.

It would be of great help if your software would allow to import the COMPLETE setlist from the txt-file in one step, not only track by track.

Some sites, Discogs for example, list ROIOS too as "inofficial" recordings.
That's why I asked if ROIOS are supported when your soft checks Discogs or similar sites.

Philip101 It looks like you can't add music by scanning a folder/s of digital tracks, unless I'm missing something. As I've already ripped hundreds of CDs, this would be my preferred method of adding titles to the music library.
