Tom Colvin I'm having a HUGE PROBLEM paying for 2 licenses for this software. I'm redirected to the develper's payment page, which does not allow credit card purchases with "free" email addresses.

HOW CAN I BUY THIS????????

Roger Thomasson Tom, I'm very sorry for this. Unfortunately (or I'd fix the issue), the blame lies neither with the developer or Bits du Jour, but rather with the eCommerce provider -- Element5.

Inexplicably, they still legislate purchases based on free/paid email addresses. It's rarely an issue, but in some cases like this has led to extreme frustration. I've emailed them in an attempt to circumvent the system, and I'll let you know as soon as I hear back.

In the meantime, could you shoot me an email (roger at iconico dot com) with the details of your paid email address? It'll help in my attempts at hell-raising.

Sorry again for the inconvenience!

Software Guy I wanted some clarification on the EULA for a single user license - exactly what can we install on how many machines - which is not available from their site - emailed them this morning but have not heard back. Bummer. I believe the delay in responses from them is simply due to the difference in time zones. Oh well.

Steven Chen Tom, please try to select the paypal payment option during Element5 checkout process.

A.C. Element Company - Feb 3 2009 at 12:06pm Copy Link

Steven Chen Hi Alpha, single user license can install on one machine and regardless the number of users in the computer.
Full EULA on the website: http://www.myusbonly.com/usb/eula.php

Tom Colvin Unfortunately, Steven, the payment form will not allow payment by PayPal either because of my gmail address. I don't see how you can do business with a payment processor with this policy. You must lose lots of sales. Hope you work it out someday. Very sad that I cannot buy your product, as I find its objective one that I need as I travel a lot and leave a computer unattended.

alpha beta This is a note to users from my past experience - the license allows installation ONLY on one machine. So you need multiple licences to protect ports on multiple machines. So, for desktop plus laptop you need 2 licenses, 3 if you add a netbook. The purpose is to protect usb port use on a machine, NOT the data on the usb drive.
Hope this clarifies the use for the software.

company owner Thanks for the timely comment. I was thinking about purchasing but since I have a home office development machine, home office server, work office development machine, four work servers and a laptop...this could start getting expensive even with the Bits du Jour discount. I'll just keep locking down the computers and lock out USB ports within employee profiles.

Steven Chen Hi company owner,
Thanks for internest on MyUSBonly. Understand that you may need several copies to protect all your computers and servers at both home and office.
Since you have hardware located in multiple location, you really have a need to protect your computers and USB ports while you're away from your valuable information. This is a great opportunity to purchase as we are offering 67% off, the greatest discount ever. Act fast before the deal expire and I would say your investment on MyUSBonly is 100% worthy.
