Stephen User I would like to get this deal but when I go to their website, I can't get any of their demo pages to load on my Galaxy S5 which they claim is mobile friendly. All it says is directing.. and then stops.

Hayden :) I purchased the license and spent a little bit of time messing with the program. I converted a 20-page pdf to an .exe page flipping file. The entire process went along very well.

When I ran the .exe file, I noticed that the pages begin to flip much slower from page 10 toward the end. This makes the page flipping .exe file an annoyance to use. I'm not sure if this is just my computer. Maybe someone can comment on their experience.

Hayden :) @Dubon: Yes, I'm sure. It's also the same for hmtl5. It's specific to a .pdf file.
The program also ran into an issue importing the same .pdf file. It gave an error to import in the Vector format on page 21. That's why I stopped at page 20.

Here's the link to the .pdf file:
http://www.computerpoweru...=1&noflash

Can please take a look and let us know what you find out? Thanks.

I played around some more. I tried another 110 pages pdf file and it worked just fine.

CFGuy Dear Nextflipbook Rep,

This program looks like it has a good set of features at a very reasonable price-point. Plus the addition of free upgrades/updates to future versions of the software is outstanding and very generous. Thanks so much for offering the program here on BDJ.

Like Rod User's post (above), I am also interested in whether the "hotspots" and links to other, outside websites may be embedded in the flipbooks created.
Additionally, I have a question about "program activation" that did not seem to be addressed in the "Fine Print" section, here on the BDJ program listing. Does the program require any type of "activation" (hardware or software-based)? I ask this question because as a "computer geek" I am often upgrading my hardware (RAM hard drives), and I tend to replace older computers with new ones more frequently than the average user. With the (hardware especially) activation requirements, it can be more time consuming (and to be honest, just more of a general aggravation) to be emailing customer service to request added activations be added to my account, when I upgrade or build/purchase a new system (to replace the older system that was already "activated" (or "licensed"). I am in no way advocating software license abuse or piracy by addressing this issue, I just like to be aware of what I am getting into before making a software purchase. Thanks so much for your willingness to address these questions/issues.

Best Wishes,
-Cfguy

Rick Hello,

I was ready to download the trial in consideration of purchasing Next Flipbook Maker Pro until I read the fine print. “Each license allows installation on 1 computer” is a deal breaker based on my specific software needs. Conversely, installation on two computers for non-simultaneous use is the industry standard. I was left wondering if transfer to another owned computer is allowed.

Related to making informed purchases, I would personally appreciate the overt inclusion of corporate information, a corporate address and telephone number, etc., on the Nextflipbook website.

Best regards.

Rick I was about to download the trail version in consideration of purchasing Next Flipbook Maker Pro to convert some of my existing course materials to flipbooks for my students for but two things stopped me.

1. The Nextflip website was seemingly devoid of information about the software vendor (e.g., years in business, company background, corporate address and contact information other than an email address), as well as a software revision history and/or a software license agreement. Maybe it is there but I could not readily locate any of the above information. Additionally, “Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product” sounds great (i.e., from any software vendor) but I need a bit of history and context before buying into such statements.

2. “Each license allows installation on 1 computer.” Acknowledging the considerable discount, I do not purchase software unless it can be installed on two computers and can be transferred to new computers. This is simply not realistic for an end-user that does not generate revenue from software that is purchased with personal funds.

Jeff Clarke This app seems to have been written, primarily at least, for MAC. Nothing wrong with that, but the Windows version, despite what the online manual for Windows shows, lacks at least some of the features which are "supposed" to be present. e.g. many of the options shown for the Import screen are simply not there.

In addition, having tested the app with a pdf which contained both graphics and text, it seems the Publish process ignores the text; the resulting .exe file (for local display on Windows) has large blank sections where the text should be. Even the program's own sample document, which appears on first opening, when "published" as above, ALL the text is missing!

So far, not very impressed, having bought the standard version via this site.

I also downloaded the trial version of the Pro build to test whether the problems I was seeing were because of the "lesser" version: absolutely no difference!

As I said, not very impressed!
