Point Four Notesholder Pro download about 2.4 Mb, Lite about 1.4 Mb. Lite disk footprint about 2.7 Mb before adding data. Recent versions of Pro give AV false positives with PC-Cillin. Lite is OK for that. Both can be installed as portable, if that matters to you.

Lindsay Aldred NotesHolder Pro is an excellent note-taking and note-keeping and filing software. Have been using it for years.

It does everything I want, is easy and convenent to use, is frugal wth space and resources, is unobtrusive yet always instantly available when I need it, never gets in the way, and best of all, it is rock solid stable. It has never crashed or lost notes or data.

it also keeps several copies of its databases / backups (which are automatically done in the background daily), in different locations, for safety, which you can change to suit your preferences - I keep a couple on my Data drive and an External drive, in case my C-drive crashes and/or if I have to reinstall my Windows OS 10 - something that is not completely unheard-of with windows PCs, even with the vast improvement that is Windows 10.

Unfortunately this excellent program is no longer supported by the original author and company, "A!K Research Labs", which appears to be no longer operating at its former web site. . However it is still available through Softonic and one or two similar sites, so it may still be in business. But it is no longer being updated, since about ten years ago, which is a pity.

Nevertheless, I have continued to use it, even up to the present day with Windows 10, and it is still as stable and reliable as it ever was. And all of its features have continued to work normally with each update or change in the OS.. Truly a remarkable feat of coding by the author.. .

This offer from Bits du Jour is a bargain on a hard-to-find yet eminently useful and helpful piece of software that never seems to go out of date. Use it with confidence, it will not let you down, and so far since the support stopped, it has not needed any upgrading. Outstanding In The Field!
