Jon Spain Apart from no comments here, there is virtually nothing on Google about this software. It's surprising that BdJ offer it; any comments, please?

Malika User Our Graphic design and Logo Creation products are relatively new and you can find them on www.olympiacreation.com. You won't be disappointed.

Tim Parsons There doesn't seem to be anything available even on the Olympia site about the capabilities of the software -- while the discount is generous, it's still a relatively expensive risk for software with almost no available information beyond the phrase "graphic design."

Vector graphics, presumably? Compatibility with other file formats? Tutorials, info on usage, product videos, even screenshots?

I'm prepared to be convinced but unless BDJ is being used as a launch platform for a brand-new-barely-tested-or-reviewed product, I'm not seeing any good reasons to part with this much cash...

M Lohnen Hi,

I've found a link to the product website:

https://www.olympiacreati...ails?pid=2

But not much information there either.
No trial version.. nothing..

Jon Spain This is supposed to be version 1.7, so not quite yesterday ... but since when? Honestly, this is really not BdJ's style.

CFGuy @Malika User - Can this program import and export common vector file formats such as ".ai" files, ".eps" files, ".pdf" files and ".svg" files? In addition, are there any other additional file formats the program can import/export and work with that I might be missing? Thanks so much. -Cfguy

AL-M712 Another software that installs with a hardware footprint. Software that does this is generally a no-go for me. Like so many others, I enjoy and use a variety of software in depth, appreciate its development, gladly pay for what I choose, and not violate its licensed use. Nevertheless, I draw the line on draconian DRM, i.e, footprint installs, restrictions and schemes. There's enough tyranny happening in the world and I'm drawing the line on it to the fullest extent as to what I can control. Note that there is a lot of software out there that does not impose such abhorrent DRM schemes, as well as a lot of free and open-source software to use and support. I even gladly give grateful donations to some of my favorites therein. Thanks to BitsDuJour for its "The Fine Print Print" section. It's needs to be kept in place and supported.

Robert User "You must install/register the software within 15 days, and cannot do so afterwards."

Nope; not falling for this. If this were a giveaway offer, then it would not be out of line, but totally out of line for software the user is purchasing a license to. No one in their right mind would bother purchasing a license to software they cannot reinstall. Olympia Graphic Design cannot guarantee the user's PC will not have a HDD failure, but if it happens, the user is out of luck.

We just went through a similar scenario recently on BitsDuJour where seller tried to limit the install time to just a few days, and the agreement between seller and BitsDuJour did not allow this "time to install" limitation. I don't think this one should be permitted either.

If that wasn't enough ...

No return policy.
This promotion cannot be used to upgrade or extend an existing license
Upgrade will be discounted but no indication how much. Is it 1%?

Looks like a late 80s early 90s type of program that uses clipart and vector files to create flyers and such
Looks like a money-pit

If it is relatively new, then it is likely buggy. I am not aware of it being offered on any "giveaway" website where users get to try it out for a year. No reviews found online. In short, it has no reputation to stand on.

Just about any graphic program can handle clipart, and there are tons of clipart DVDs for real cheap. There are several free graphics art programs, even open-source, that can handle vector files.

Too many alternatives that do the same but at a price less than the 50% discount offered here, but we already have several of those.

I am disappointed.

Michael User The software is relatively unknown. I did find their website but there are very few details about the product, nor any screenshots, demo videos, etc. Couldn't find anything on youtube either. I'd really need a trial before considering a purchase.

HJ B For product offers, like this, BDJ should have a category called "Pig in a Poke Software". See Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/..._in_a_poke

Neither the offer information nor the Olympia website provides any information or illustration as to what is being offered.

Tim Parsons Still a noticeable lack of answers to any of the questions raised thus far.

New software. Got it. What does it do? Why is it worth spending money on?
