O&O Software One of the great things about O&O DiskImage is that you can create an image while you're working - the program will backup whatever you wish without interrupting you.

O&O Software Regarding the question about using O&O DiskImage afgter a catastrophic failure: The answer to both these questions is yes. The image you created can be restored on the same computer where it was created or on a new one, even one with different hardware - as long as this hardware is compatible with the product.

The O&O website has a document describing O&O DiskImage's Machine Independent Restoration (M.I.R.) in detail:

O&O Software For Rich Obrien

When you select Start drive imaging, a user has the option of either imaging the entire hard disk or only selected partitions. Perhaps it wasn't clear to you that by clicking on the box next to a particular partition, you would be selecting that partition for imaging. The only way we could check what you describe is by seeing screenshots.

If your trial period has expired and you wish to continue testing, send a request to the O&O Support page and we'll send you a time-limited license.

D Rogers I regret buying this software. The process of creating a backup image is not intuitive. Required emails back and forth to developer. Still unclear user interface. The menus are even blurry upon mouse overs.

O&O Software We are sorry to read your message. Where exactly do you have trouble with creating an image? The user opens the program, clicks "Start drive imaging", selects the drive(s) he wants to image, enters the location (target drive) where the image should be saved and then clicks start. If the user wishes, he can click "Add as job" to select among various options regarding how the imaging job should be run.

We can't explain why the program appears blurry on your computer as this is a complaint we've never heard before, Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling?

Online reviews of O&O DiskImage often single out the user-friendly interface and easy operation as great benefits for those who are just normal users and not IT cracks.

While we must respect your right to an opinion, we are happy that yours is one we never really see.

O&O Software Sorry but our offices are closed over the weekend and this is the first chance we have to respond.

In addition to general fine tuning across the board, O&O DiskImage 11 has a new interface that we believe to be even more user-friendly. There are also increased options for users who wish to use scripts for automating backups and imaging.

Thanks for your patience!

Rodney User What's up with this software? I received an email last week from SharewareOnSale.com saying it was free, but when I went to their site, it was already expired the day it came out.

Then I got an email from BitDujour.com saying this software was 50% off, but when I went to the site, it ws only 25%off!

Someone please tell me why!

O&O Software @geo User
O&O licensing policy allows users to transfer their licenses from an older onto a new computer. As long as the license is only registerd on one computer, everything is fine.

O&O Software Hello Michael R.,

No, it is not possible to backup an entire hard disk without the content of specific partitions. Same goes for cloning without specific partitions.
