a a I think I might have been the person who requested this a few months ago, and while it's pretty good, I actually prefer Tuxera NTFS driver as it doesn't leave your NTFS drives littered with .DS files.

a a Hmm, after playing with them both some more, I was incorrect when I said Tuxera doesn't leave .DS files as it does - It's the HFS+ extended attributes that it stores in NTFS streams instead of separate files (unlike Paragon, which stores them in separate files). I've changed my mind slightly and they both have their advantages/disadvantages:

Paragon is faster; Much faster is some cases, but stores HFS+ extended attributes in a separate file, so for every file you write, you end up with a matching dot file.

Tuxera is slower, but stores HFS+ extended attributes in the NTFS stream of the file,

Both versions suffer from the problem that they cannot prevent some other dot files appearing related to the Mac (ie. .fseventsd, .Trashes and .DS_store)

I've had occasional problems with both, but nothing resulting in loss of data.

If only Paragon stored extended attributes in NTFS streams, had an option to disable the creation of the other dot files (ie. .fseventsd, .Trashes and .DS_store), and supported automatic filename translation of characters that Windows Explorer considers illegal, then they would have the perfect product IMO.

I'm may well end up picking this up in the deal, but haven't decided yet.

Dave Doiron I have to say that I've been using this software for a few years, and it enables me to use the same external drive for files for both my Mac and my Windows computers. I heartily recommend it and would buy a copy if I needed it.
