LU Can anyone tell me the difference in PDFTiger and PDFZilla offered here a few weeks ago?

Never mind all. I see PDFTiger is able to convert to PDF as well.

Michael Sanders Can you set up the software in an endless loop where it batch converts the files in one folder while taking the same files that were just converted and converting them back into Word?

Dec 3 2011 at 4:47am Copy Link

HJ B @Sanders Why would anyone want to do that?

Dec 3 2011 at 4:49am Copy Link

Lupke Brother is this software still in development? It has been version 1.0 for years now. No updates at all.

Dec 3 2011 at 5:32am Copy Link

DrTeeth @ Lupke

Well spotted. I was interested until I saw that. Win 7 not even mentioned in supported OS list.

Roger Thomasson @Michael Sanders

I'm also very curious as to why you'd want to do this :)

BitsDuJour Admin - Dec 3 2011 at 7:49am Copy Link

DrTeeth I would imagine that the process would have a use in benchmarking.

John Cook to Lupke,

We are still working on PDFtiger to fix bugs and add the new auto decryption feature

PDFZilla, Inc. - Dec 3 2011 at 7:59am Copy Link

John Cook to Peter,

I am so sorry the tabbed text is hard to analyse for us right now. We will continue working on it.

PDFZilla, Inc. - Dec 3 2011 at 8:00am Copy Link

feral1 So does this company offer free updates and/or upgrade considering the offering is on an old 1 version? Is one being released? That's two questions.

Dec 3 2011 at 11:10am Copy Link

@ferrel1 - The policy is in the tab on the right

BitsDuJour Admin - Dec 3 2011 at 11:37am Copy Link

Tazzie @ John Cook ... I am unable to click on the links for FAQ and Contact on your web site ... are they still working?

I could not find any info as to what upgrade costs are after the first 12 months, and the policy section here does not clarify that, either.

You mention that "We are still working on PDFtiger to fix bugs and add the new auto decryption feature" .... how long does it take to actually fix one bug and issue an update? I'm sure users would prefer to see periodic updates that fix a bug or two at a time rather than wait for years for all of them to be fixed (if that's possible :/ ) You mention one new feature ... just one? Any other improvements planned? Any brand new features planned?

If it seems like I am nitpicking ... I am! I don't make it a practice to throw money at software that looks like it is in danger of falling off the fence and into the field of abandonware (if it hasn't actually done so yet). Vague promises of bug fixing and no recent updates issued nor an estimated time frame for release of updates, let alone new versions .... this does not inspire confidence that my money would be well spent or that any bugs would be dealt with in a timely fashion. There are plenty of other PDF programs that are actively developed and would be more worthy of my budgeted dollars.

Smith Johnson Dear Tazzie,

FAQ link is still available http://www.pdftiger.com/faq.html

Upgrade is free for registered users, even if not renew. For company user/compercial license, it need to renew.

About new features, we are working on auto decrypting protected PDF conversion and PDF OCR feature. But PDF OCR is not very easy to add because the conversion result is not satified.

Recently I found PDF software field is very hot and competition is fierce... We need to add more features and produce more standalone products.

Thank you for your comment, if you have any problem or question, please do not hesitate to post here or email to support

Perry DeJesus Performed Actions As Directed...No Go. Program Still Says Not Registered Message At Bottom Right Corner Even When following procedure above. Also
I noticed in your response you answer with PDFZilla Inc. I Have A Licensed Copy Of PDFZilla And It Works Flawlessly so why I am having so many problems with this title? PDFZilla Converts PDF To HTML No problem. What Gives? If these issues cannot be resolved can you kindly issue a refund to me. This Is way too much to go through just to make a software work.

Constantin Florea @Perry DeJesus, I just refunded your order.

Mike Shanahan Hello, I need help on deciding. It says this software is being sold by PDFZilla, Inc. I googled PDFTiger and see mostly references to free giveaways and many date back to the Aughts. So, just one question and I will appreciate your taking the time to respond.
How is PDFTiger different from PDFZilla?
Is there a comparison chart that might answer my question?
Again, thanks in advance for your reply.

John Cook Hi Mike Shanahan,

PDFTiger includes the PDF Creating feature and PDF To other formats conversion functions, but different from PDFZilla, it doesn't have the PDF Cutter, PDF Merger and PDF Unlock tools. And it doesn't have the PDF To Excel converter either.

PDFZilla, Inc. - Oct 9 2021 at 4:54am Copy Link

Mike Shanahan Thank you, John. Much appreciated!

HJ B Back in 2011, users were noting that version 1 was years old and was still the version being offered in 2011.

I note that the present description of the software lists the Windows versions with which it works and the latest is Windows 7.

I also note that, back in 2011, the developer said "We are still working on PDFtiger to fix bugs and add the new auto decryption feature." and "I am so sorry the tabbed text is hard to analyse for us right now. We will continue working on it."

Is this still the Version 1 discussed in 2011? If not, what modifications have been made?
