Alex Ferri You can add an audio track by dragging an audio file from your HD and drop it where the user interface shows 'Drop music here' on the lower part of the user interface. Also, on the same area if you right-click the mouse over it you can set fade-in and fade-out time.

Jane Blue Um...maybe this is a goofy idea, but if you're trying to sell slideshow making software, don't you think it might be a good idea to have an actual slideshow video example? You don't even have one on your website.

Stephen Brown Hi BDJ,

I've followed the usual processes, i.e. registering etc and now seem to be stuck at the final stage where I've inputted my email in the window that says:

''Enter the email address used to purchase the product''

It's been saying ''WAIT'' for over an hour and I've still not received an email with the registration code?

I had the same issue a week or so ago, where it took over a day and an email directly to the developer to finally get a registration code.

I've installed the program and am really looking forward to being able to create some slideshows for my in-laws (and my immediate family). I have literally tens of thousands of digital images of my kids from birth to their late teens and have been promising to create some DVD slide shows for them growing up for a couple of years now.

This program sees an ideal application to fulfill that promise. I'd purchase a program to do this; unfortunately, a serious accident 12 years ago (four badly broken vertebrae that left me four inches shorter and a serious head injury that left me brain damaged) has left me disabled and unable to work.

Because of this, money has been very tight for over a decade now and purchasing such software is way down on the list of needs, especially as both my kids are at their most important stage with respect to education. (ages 17 & 19). The youngest is almost at the end of her first year of 'A' Levels and the eldest is reading Pharmacy at Manchester University (UK). He's in his first year of a five-year M.Pharm course (3 years undergraduate studies, 1-year post-graduate studies plus a 1-year pre-registration year. As parents, we are still paying and expect to be paying for the next five years, a large proportion of what little income we have to support them both until they are able to get jobs and look after themselves.

Is there a problem with your servers, or is this issue due to too many community members applying for codes? I've checked my internet connection and network and everything is green, so I'm sure the issue isn't from my end?

Thank you in advance for any help in resolving this issue. Please excuse the waffle above; the opiates I take for pain management (for over 10 years) tend to open me up too much.

If you received the message 'Wait' after requesting a KEY to your e-mail address and it got stuck there then the program is not getting Internet access. The process is quick. If it takes too long it means the program can't access the Internet. Make sure to open exceptions on your Firewall and anti-virus to allow the online request. Let me also remind you that you can use the control panel on pcwinsoft.com to request your KEY. This method does not require changes to your Firewall or Anti-Virus.

Frank User Win 10 x64 Pro. Followed instructs & Ok. D/L at their site. Ran prg. Requested key w/ same addy (yahoo) & got key nearly instantly. Prg says will close & when restart will be fully licensed. ver 1.0.2.00 2018. Assume is lifetime, no updates.

A User Tried to run on Windows Xp(SP3) and get error message

Richard User I read the earlier comments from people who had registration problems. I had no problems whatsoever. The whole process took about 3 minutes from hitting the "Get It For Free" button to running the fully registered/licensed program. I did follow the instructions, I do have a working internet connection, and I'm running a supported version of Windows (8.1 Pro, in my case). I don't have an immediate need for the app, but the price is right, and it's something I might use in the future.

Mr Dave Would be nice if I could cast a slideshow to Chromecast or view it on my monitor, without making a video first. Add multiple song files or randomly pick from a folder. Randomize picture order. I have other programs that do this, but none of them can play a "live" slideshow either. It would be good to turn my TV into a slideshow across hundreds of pics, and play them with music while friends are over. Just some ideas for a future update...

From screen shots it looks like this program is very good, organized, and easy to use. The video creation makes it ideal for sharing over web or email or putting onto a DVD.

Owner Owner Successfully registered ...after the nonsense of registration hoops & then being sent the key for Mac version(see above) instead.

However, program force close after splash screen upon reopening. Restarted PC, but program still force close after splash screen.Reinstalled program; still force close.

Uninstalled, enough time wasted. But maybe not for PCWinSoft, having harvested my/our email address/es?

Diana User PCWinSoft does make good software. I have several of their programs but their registration process does leave a lot to be desired. It took me many times to finally get everything to work. Eventually, I was able to download, install and register this program. I did contact PCWinSoft. They do have a support request function. I suggest doing the same.

Loyal Customer First impressions:
Download, registration, etc.: All went well. No issues. Very straightforward (if people read on the download page).

Program features:
- Very limited features. No user settings (image resolution/size, slide display time, transition options, etc.).
- Very poor way of adding audio track (only drag and drop option, instead of an "Import" or "Add Audio" from the menu).
- Creating the AVI/slideshow file is extremely slow (I used only 15 images) on a very fast machine (AMD Ryzen 7 2700X unlocked, 8-core, 32 GB RAM, Samsung EVO Plus 970 M.2 PCI-e SSD). My Windows 10 Pro 64-bit loads in less than 5 seconds on this machine.
- In my humble opinion, this is an experimental-level program, in ALPHA phase, not even BETA, and it is very far from being a "Pro".

However, thank you for the gift, and I hope it will get better down the road.
For now, I must uninstall it. Thanks to REVO.

Diana User Ok, I double checked the download page. It looked easy until I actually tried to do it. I already have an account at PCWinSoft and have had for some time. I have several of their programs (nine). But this time was a problem. Maybe something happened to their system over the weekend (?). In fact, I find it interesting that their download page asks me to enter my name and email but does not have a log in feature when I already have an account. Could their possibly be something with their website that needs improvement? I am able to log in and see the programs that I have licenses for without any problem. Fat File Finder, Power Image Converter, Video Password Protection Pro, 1AV SWF Video Converter, HQ GIF Maker, Photo Watermark Studio, and Turbo Video ConverterPhoto Slideshow Creator Pro.

Diana User Ok, it probably has saved your password. That happened to me also. So, go to PCWinSoft.com and choose customer login. Also, start the installation of the program because you will be asked to provide the hardware fingerprint to register the program to your computer.

If none of this works, we will go to plan B. I will try to help you in real time by staying at BitsDuJour so that we can message back and forth. I don't mind because I love computers and have for many years. This is an interesting challenge for me.

If none of that works, as I told someone in this forum, you can email registrationsupport

pcwinsoft.com for help. Alessandro Ferri emailed me back quickly. By the time he did, I already had it working.

Yrral Rellim IMPOSSIBLE to register following PCWinSoft's instructions. I received the CODE but there is no "TRIAL" option in the program as their instructions direct. I tried twice on separate installations with no luck.

I seriously wonder how PCWinSoft actually keep 'alive'. I haven't been able to install ANY program from them for years now ... and right now I'm using a fresh installation of Windows 10 (64-bit), so it's nothing to do with my computer setup.

D J Ok, I logged in to the BitsDuJour website just fine. When I clicked on the last choice on the Purchase Selection page (that being the free BDJ offering for today) I get the following response from the PCWinsoft website: "HTTP/1.1 New Session Failed". Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in this developer.

UPDATE: Was able to finally get to the download link. Firefox blocked the download since it originates via an insecure connection. Firefox goes on to warn that the file may be corrupted or tampered with during the download process. I am not willing to take that risk so it's a Pass for me. Thank you anyway, BDJ.

Alok G Registration is indeed overly complex. It says on the page that it can also be done using "Control Panel", which I tried. It asked for Hardware Footprint which is blank as such and I do not know what to fill.

RichU i have always had difficulty with PCWinsoft registration. Even when I paid for a program. The link on how to find the hardware footprint does me no good because the field is always blank???
Also, I have this installed on my computer as version 3.2.2.30, but the bits download says this is v1.0.2.00???

mer123 I am confused. I got a dialogue box which says basically to choose if I want to purchase a yearly license or continue with the free version I already have installed. It installed nothing when I chose the free version option. I cannot find out which or where this version I have of this Slideshow is located on my computer! Did the company name change at some point and I have purchased an older version? I have no clue where to open this program or if it is any different than the older one I have which is under a different name? Please help.

Alex Ferri Keys are sent through a different service that sometimes does not go through. If you have successfully requested a key let me know the username you registered under and I can fetch your key

Mick Martin It IS version 4.2.2.20 that installs, but it appears that none of the muppets at PCWinSoft have woken up yet .... or it could be that they're still harvesting email addresses, as they have been doing for years now.

Four times I've requested a Registration key from them, and each time it's giving me the same message:

"Success

Your REGISTRATION-KEY was successfully sent!
Please allow a few minutes for the e-mail to arrive in your mail box.
Make sure to add 'pcwinsoft.com' as a trusted source in your anti-spam filter.
Click 'OK' and enter the REGISTRATION-KEY you have received."

Nothing has been received since this morning from them ... and I have checked my Spam folder, too.

Alex Ferri Our software is clean. Anti-virus make mistakes. So it is their mistake. The product is safe. We have a 100% clean environment so I can assure you there is no viruses in there.
