Adobe Photoshop is truly a powerhouse of an image editor, but that does nothing to ease your workload if you're staring at a folder of images that all require processing. That's why today's software promotion, Photoshop Batch Image Processor, combines the power of Photoshop with the flexibility to edit multiple images at once!

Photoshop Batch Image Processor lets you batch process an unlimited number of images, applying resizing, color conversions, and other image tweaks without having to work on each image one at a time! With Photoshop Batch Image Processor, you'll be able to apply watermarks, sharpen images, add textures, and add borders in order to make a set of photos conform to your company's publishing standards. Batch Actions, such as conversion to black and white, can be customized to run either at the start or the end of the processing run.

Perfect for photographers or publishers who need to add their logo or other identifying information to their work, Photoshop Batch Image Processor makes easy work of applying labels, borders, and rounded corners to many images at once. Think about it - you could transform a whole afternoon's worth of photographs into client-ready final product without tying yourself to your computer!

Please note folks, BIP requires either Photoshop CS4 or CS5 to operate.

Louis H Missed out on picking up this vendor's The Works while at a great discount, so will have to settle for less. :-(

"Less," however, is a relative term here as I really like this particular product and am thankful to have it here today on BDJ.

John Gill Thanks for the comments - there are still upgrade deals from B.I.P to The Works IV if you are interested.

Jan-Christoph Ihrens Doesn't the trial allow borders, sharpening and additional effects? I thought the trial was just limited to 3 images... But those three controls just don't show up (Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Photoshop CS5 64-bit).

John Gill You need to make sure that the included Photoshop actions are installed then the borders, sharpening and effects will be displayed in BIP.

Jan-Christoph Ihrens I copied the files B.I.P.atn, batchborders.atn, batchmisc.atn and batchsharpen.atn to C:\Program Files\Grafik\Bildbearbeitung\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Presets\Actions (where Photoshop is installed) as well as to C:\Users\My Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Actions. The file BIP_Styles.asl I copied to the corresponding Styles folders. Then I started Photoshop and the BIP action. The mentioned controls don't show up. Did I forget anything?

John Gill The action files (.atn) need to be installed in the Photoshop action palette as with any other action - their actual location on disk doesn't really matter.
Once they appear in the action palette then they should appear in BIP. It looks for the specific names of these action sets in the palette.

I have to admit that they haven't been tested in non-English language versions of Photoshop however.

Jan-Christoph Ihrens "The action files (.atn) need to be installed in the Photoshop

Ah, okay, I only "installed" the B.I.P. action. Sorry, I switched from Paint Shop Pro to Photoshop not too long ago and only used my own actions until now, which show up automatically. Now it works - thank you very much for your help! :)

John Gill I'd like to point out that version 1.3 will be available early January and it will allow you to batch the files selected in Bridge as well as on a folder basis. This will be a free update.

John Gill Jan-Christophe - glad you got it working - BTW are you using an English language version of Photoshop?

Jan-Christoph Ihrens Great, that's a feature I hoped would be added some day! :)

John Gill There's likely to be problems when running third party actions (and indeeed some 1clickactions) as most have English layer names as I'm sure you're aware. Of course if you have actions of your own that you know work standalone then they should be OK in BIP.
As I say however it's not been really tested in Non-English versions.

Jan-Christoph Ihrens Well, modifying the JavaScript files is no problem for me as I'm a web developer. ;-) I'm sure I can cope with any similar problems that might come up.

John Gill If you're OK with modifying the javascript then the actions should be straightforward for you.
Test it out and see how it goes :)

Louis H Long day at work, but nice to come home and pick this one up. I am interested in what upgrade pricing is available. Should I use the link at your website to inquire further about this?
