Virus Scan for PictureEcho

H. H. @vendor
Hallo,
following questions:
1. when purchasing the lifetime version, what would happen in case your company gives up business (hopefully not) - asking since the software must be activated, and I already lost software I had spent a lot of money for, because software could not be activated any longer. Some companies have a fair handling of such a scenario - either making their software available as freeware - or sending their customers a hardware independent perpetual master-license code. What is your policy for such a case?

2. you already offered "clone files checker" at bdj. The time the software was offered the only available subscription model was the dealbreaker. But fortunately you seem to offer lifetime licenses now - will they be available at bdj too at a discounted price?

Thank you for clarifying in advance
H.H.

Clone Files Checker H.H,

Thank you for writing the comment. You have raised a very valid point. Here is what will happen:

1. We are in business since 2004. We plan to continue the business for a very long period of time. Because we are a registered legal entity, we will not certainly close the company suddenly! Even in case of it selling it to another group, we will make an agreement that our old subscribers will be allowed to use the product! Things will not change for them. We have a support mechanism, whereby we keep the record of our customers. If you lose the key, you can always contact us for the issuance of the same-old license code.

2. We plan to offer more discounted promotions on all our products in near future.

Sal What is Family Pack Lifetime License ?
How many computers can I install it on?
Does Lifetime mean Free upgrade to ALL future versions?
Does Lifetime mean the program will never stop working with no future payments?

RC "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is NOT allowed."

Uh, no. You got to be kidding. I'm not going to even bother downloading the trial.

RC I'm wondering if Bitsdujour got the "The Fine Print" wrong. It says "You must install/register the software within 3 days, and cannot do so afterwards." That's typical for giveaway software, but not for purchased software, as is "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is NOT allowed."

Daniel Liquete "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed". I will be upgrading my computer within 12 months. Does this mean transferring my Single Solution Lifetime license to my new computer is not allowed? Please clarify.

Clone Files Checker Greg,

The detection is false positive. No risk at all if you are going to use this photo management program.

CFGuy Yikes - I just went to purchase " Small Business Lifetime License ($23.74), was in a rush and didn't notice that the price was *NOT* $23.74, but $94.97, and I also didn't realize that another program "Easy File Renamer" was automatically added to my cart for $24.97 (I would have had to physically "edit" the quantity of this program to "0" from "1". This is really unacceptable practices to me, as a software consumer and long time BitsDuJour customer. :-( Please help!!!!!

Christopher Dean @kydara, it shows Lifetime Licenses available. Look under the "Today's promotion includes the following" section. I wouldn't consider a subscription either, but may check this out since a lifetime license is available.

kydara @Christopher Dean you're right, I didn't see that. It's about 2x the cost of a 1yr subscription license. Thanks.

kydara Purchased (the lifetime version, obviously). Just a head-ups that's not apparent from the BDJ promo page but you will find on the checkout page after you click Get This Deal - you get a free license for another one of the author's products, Easy File Renamer, with the purchase of a Picture Echo license.
