Thiru Whoa... this looks like a complete clone of Kruptos 2 Professional, the website information looks like it is a cloned variant of Kruptos 2's site too.

[Update]
Upon further inspection and testing this is absolutely a clone of (an older version ) Kruptos 2 Professional, the help text and other information is word-for-word identical.

Be very careful people. I'll chase this up with the appropriate authorities...

Danny Steve Beckett, Which is better? Kruptos 2 Professional or PowerCryptor?

Stephen B @Steve Beckett, that's quite a silly thing to say.

Kruptos UI looks a lot like Macrium nowadays, ugly and boring. Maybe Macrium copied that from them too. Also PowerArchiver has a similar layout, all copies I guess;)

@Danny, Kruptos 2 is hilariously overpriced.

Thiru @Stephen B - No it’s not, its a fact based on evidence.

They have cloned Kruptos 2 version 3. We don’t make these claims lightly and have done the necessary research. If you look at the help files, web site or even the decompiled source you'll note reams of copied text including grammatical errors and other style issues (compared to version 3 of Kruptos).

Obviously, Kruptos 2 has evolved massively over the years and is in constant development so this cloned rubbish no longer has any resemblance to Kruptos 2 software or the website, for now…

Since version 4 Kruptos 2 has followed the 'Ribbon' pattern and looks more like MS Office which could be considered safe yet easy to use.

If you would like to put the safety of your files and data in the hands of cheap-o-cloned software, well that’s your choice. You get what you pay for, right?

Mappi75 Saw the screens and thought "its a clone".

I'am using the original Kruptos Software and not the clone.

Graham Bourne Notwithstanding the earlier posts which I have only just seen, and after purchasing this “deal”, I have been unable to successfully download the software. When I click on the Download button in the email received from Bits du Jour, a temporary file briefly appears in my Downloads folder and then disappears completely. On the web page there then (or also) appears a window telling me to “… click here …” if the download doesn’t appear. Clicking on it seems to do absolutely nothing. Result: I bought it but can’t download it!
