Louis H Here is my problem....

I wanted to look further into the whole line-up of programs you have available for Microsoft Office, but when I went to your website it left me very confused.

I took a look at the Excel and PowerPoint items and found what I needed, but when it came to the Word supercharger I was left scratching my head.

I see an image that shows three different versions of the Word Add-in, but purchase info for only two versions. There are many additional features for the Professional Plus version but only an offer to purchase the Lite or Professional version. (Nothing for purchasing the Plus version.)

The reason I bring this up here is I saw where you have a bundle deal and I am trying to figure out what it will cost me if I buy the PowerPoint and Excel products here and the Word version at your regular site, compared to buying the bundle at your site. So what is the purchase price for the PLUS version of the Word Add-In?

Please advise.

Robert Rodenberg When I bought this PowerPoint add-in I put in the credit card numbers, and paid for it authorizing a twelve dollar withdrawal from my credit card. When I started to download my virus program (I have two: McAfee and Malwarebytes running together) McAfee started to block access to the download website. I clicked "disregard." and downloaded it anyway. Then when I installed the program Malwarebytes found a Trojan (I think it was "helpful.exe") and Quarantined it. (I deleted the Trojan that wasQuarantine.) As this is an English company, they may have the same Trojan that came in a version of CCleaner a couple weeks ago. Now, I have to scan my whole system which will take 3 to 4 hours. NOT GOOD.

Ian User Louis H... Sorry for the confusion. The Professional Plus version is not yet launched (due December), out website copy has obviously been updated in error and will be corrected.

The bundle is only for the Professional version (as the professional Plus is not yet launched)

In terms of your question... It will be MUCH cheaper to purchase the Excel and PowerPoint software via BitsDuJour. If you wish to purchase the Word Supercharger (Which is not available on BDJ), then message us at sales@idmb-advisory.com and we will provide a coupon to allow you to get the Word Professional version at a 40% discount. By registering in this way, I will make sure you are also given the option of beta testing the Professional Plus version. (All beta testers will get the upgrade from professional to professional plus free as a thank you)

NB. We have not yet finalised a price for the Plus version.

Ian User Robert... Not sure what is causing the McAffee report... We've not had any other reports of problems. Our development/deployment environment is regularly scanned for virus (And I've just requested a deep scan). For the record, we do NOT use CCCleaner. It is possible that it is a false positive report as the installer uses a small file called 'helper.exe' to handle the permissions needed to install some files in the relevant directories. But as ever, I would perform a full scan to be on the safe side.
I have reported this to our technical support who will be waiting for any follow-up mails/conversations at support@idmb-advisory.com.

InterestedParty Hi - I have a different problem - I bought two copies today and, when trying to install one on a 8.1 Windows with Office 2013, got the message "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor."
my processor is an Intel Core i7 from 2010.

Please advise ?

Ian User This message is not really about the cpu... it suggests you have a 32bit version of windows. Can you confirm at support@idmb-advisory.com as an email chain and formal support ticket) is best when dealing with this type of problem.

The software works fine in this environment, but it does need a different installer.

Robert Rodenberg I installed it and it seemed to work fine. I started working with it again and now it says "Activation failed. Code 5013" & "There are no more activations left for this license." So, what do I do now? (By the way, I started to download a trial to see if McAfee would warn me, and McAfee warned me again.)

Ian User That error code means you have already activated your licence. Our licence servers are showing that your licence is successfully activated (at 7.45AM your time). You can only activate one machine per licence. If it is on the wrong machine, you can deactivate it and reinstall it on a different machine from Our Customer Portal: https://secure.softwareke...ID=4760980

I have given you an additional activation and deactivated your current installation so you should be OK to reinstall. If you have more problems then mail us at support@idmb-advisory.com and we can setup a proper ticket.

Ian User It will work on Office 2007 but will exhibit some issues because Microsoft changed a lot of stuff after 2007. Download a trial and install it if you want to test it out. There is no risk as you can try it for 30 days free.

j User When I ran the demo it displyed Supercharger on my Excel menu bar. Now that I have purchase a copy I can no longer see it on the nenue bar to add the license.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still not working. Can you assist? Thanks

Ian User Did you mean PowerPoint? The addin appears in PowerPoint not Excel.

You add the licence details at startup, not within a menu.

If the software is installed properly, you should get a splash screen at startup to allow you to register your licence.

It is possible that you have disabled the addin within File>options, but our support operation is closed ( its after midnight in the UK). I will discuss this with them in the morning to help you resolve this.

Jeanie Kiser The feature to 'standardize' the font used would be useful, but in my experience and what I am looking for most is the ability to use a template and the ability to bulk insert individual images, in order (from a folder) directly onto designated places (whether on the same slide and/or onto separate slides.) This would be a tremendous time saver.

I have found a work-around, but my work-around takes time, as well. If you have a PowerPoint plugin that can do this, I would be very interested in a product that could easily perform this task... Thank you.

Ian User Yes, there is a table of contents generator that has several options such as generate every page, generate every section, look for title pages and generate based on those. It also adds a hyperlink to the page on the TOC so that you can just click on the link while in presentation mode to go to that page. In addition, you can create a hidden link on all pages that takes you back to the TOC, so that navigating the presentation while presenting is slick.

Ian User No, it just edits a normal PowerPoint presentation... you can use it like any other PowerPointt presentation. Copy, move, edit, everything... thats the point. This is an add-in to the normal PowerPoint functionality not a replacement. It appears in the normal menus of PowerPoint, when you start PowerPoint up.

2. Fineprint says Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for minor versions only.On your web page you state lifetime. What is your definition of lifetime? Now I tried to re-activate my old licence for Excel addin bought in 2018 and it failed.

Do you have any history of releases with dates?
I do not want to buy Lifetime when it is actually limited to minor versions only. It is not proper lifetime. it is minor versions only. Your licence term (however wrong I feel) is not even bound to any timeframe (e.g. at least 2-3 years or so). Hence a developer may release a new major software version every 3 months or earlier if short of money (As you are aUK based company it may come as soon as in October after Ofgem price cap increase).

Ian User I think you may be confusing lifetime with something else.

If you buy the software it will work as is without the need to upgrade in future.

If we do major release which would likely include additional functionality, then we reserve the right to charge for this new functionality.

We do not levy a maintenance fee which would be normal for a multi release license.

You need to decide whether the current version meets your needs.

the version number would indicate 19 patch releases, though that is over a slightly longer period and include some additional user-suggested functions.
