What are people saying about PowerPoint Supercharger - Professional

Louis H Here is my problem....

I wanted to look further into the whole line-up of programs you have available for Microsoft Office, but when I went to your website it left me very confused.

I took a look at the Excel and PowerPoint items and found what I needed, but when it came to the Word supercharger I was left scratching my head.

I see an image that shows three different versions of the Word Add-in, but purchase info for only two versions. There are many additional features for the Professional Plus version but only an offer to purchase the Lite or Professional version. (Nothing for purchasing the Plus version.)

The reason I bring this up here is I saw where you have a bundle deal and I am trying to figure out what it will cost me if I buy the PowerPoint and Excel products here and the Word version at your regular site, compared to buying the bundle at your site. So what is the purchase price for the PLUS version of the Word Add-In?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Robert Rodenberg When I bought this PowerPoint add-in I put in the credit card numbers, and paid for it authorizing a twelve dollar withdrawal from my credit card. When I started to download my virus program (I have two: McAfee and Malwarebytes running together) McAfee started to block access to the download website. I clicked "disregard." and downloaded it anyway. Then when I installed the program Malwarebytes found a Trojan (I think it was "helpful.exe") and Quarantined it. (I deleted the Trojan that wasQuarantine.) As this is an English company, they may have the same Trojan that came in a version of CCleaner a couple weeks ago. Now, I have to scan my whole system which will take 3 to 4 hours. NOT GOOD.

Ian User Louis H... Sorry for the confusion. The Professional Plus version is not yet launched (due December), out website copy has obviously been updated in error and will be corrected.

The bundle is only for the Professional version (as the professional Plus is not yet launched)

In terms of your question... It will be MUCH cheaper to purchase the Excel and PowerPoint software via BitsDuJour. If you wish to purchase the Word Supercharger (Which is not available on BDJ), then message us at sales@idmb-advisory.com and we will provide a coupon to allow you to get the Word Professional version at a 40% discount. By registering in this way, I will make sure you are also given the option of beta testing the Professional Plus version. (All beta testers will get the upgrade from professional to professional plus free as a thank you)

NB. We have not yet finalised a price for the Plus version.

I hope this makes sense and once again sorry for the confusion.

Ian User Robert... Not sure what is causing the McAffee report... We've not had any other reports of problems. Our development/deployment environment is regularly scanned for virus (And I've just requested a deep scan). For the record, we do NOT use CCCleaner. It is possible that it is a false positive report as the installer uses a small file called 'helper.exe' to handle the permissions needed to install some files in the relevant directories. But as ever, I would perform a full scan to be on the safe side.
I have reported this to our technical support who will be waiting for any follow-up mails/conversations at support@idmb-advisory.com.

Regards

Ian

Louis H @Ian User...

Thank you for the clarification and the quick response! I am going to pick up both the PowerPoint and Excel products here. I will email you all regarding the Word Add-In.

Again, thank you for the Clarification. :)

InterestedParty Hi - I have a different problem - I bought two copies today and, when trying to install one on a 8.1 Windows with Office 2013, got the message "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor."
my processor is an Intel Core i7 from 2010.

Please advise ?

Oct 8 2017 at 10:43am Copy Link

Ian User This message is not really about the cpu... it suggests you have a 32bit version of windows. Can you confirm at support@idmb-advisory.com as an email chain and formal support ticket) is best when dealing with this type of problem.

The software works fine in this environment, but it does need a different installer.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Oct 8 2017 at 10:51am Copy Link

William User Hi Ian is your offer to Louis open to me as well please? I'd like to buy the Full bundle now and beta test the Plus bundle when available.
Thanks

Oct 8 2017 at 11:14am Copy Link

InterestedParty I have sent a note from my email account to request the link to the 32 bit installation package.

Thank you.

Oct 8 2017 at 11:16am Copy Link

Ian User In terms of the 32 bit version, will send link ASAP.

In terms of the Full Bundle offer we made to Louis, we will make it available to everyone.

The discount code is 00131 and is valid till end October (For all products). This should give you plenty of time to try out the software before you commit.

FYI... The ordering URL for the Word Supercharger is: https://secure.softwareke...onID=24743

or you can link from our http://www.officesupercharger.com/ website.

Just use the above code when checking out.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Oct 8 2017 at 11:28am Copy Link

William User Thank you. Much appreciated.

Oct 8 2017 at 11:31am Copy Link

InterestedParty Just to finish of this conversation - I got the link to the 32 bit version, downloaded and installed it - everything seems to work fine - great job, thank you!

Oct 8 2017 at 12:48pm Copy Link

Robert Rodenberg I installed it and it seemed to work fine. I started working with it again and now it says "Activation failed. Code 5013" & "There are no more activations left for this license." So, what do I do now? (By the way, I started to download a trial to see if McAfee would warn me, and McAfee warned me again.)

Oct 8 2017 at 1:13pm Copy Link

Ian User That error code means you have already activated your licence. Our licence servers are showing that your licence is successfully activated (at 7.45AM your time). You can only activate one machine per licence. If it is on the wrong machine, you can deactivate it and reinstall it on a different machine from Our Customer Portal: https://secure.softwareke...ID=4760980

I have given you an additional activation and deactivated your current installation so you should be OK to reinstall. If you have more problems then mail us at support@idmb-advisory.com and we can setup a proper ticket.

Harry Wallington Will it not work at all on Office 2007?

Jun 7 2018 at 1:56am Copy Link

K User Are updates included? How many PCs?

Jun 7 2018 at 2:55am Copy Link

Ian User Maintenance updates yes. New major releases will likely require an upgrade.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Jun 7 2018 at 5:39am Copy Link

Ian User It will work on Office 2007 but will exhibit some issues because Microsoft changed a lot of stuff after 2007. Download a trial and install it if you want to test it out. There is no risk as you can try it for 30 days free.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Jun 7 2018 at 5:43am Copy Link

Harry Wallington Thanks - and about time I upgraded anyway! Hopefully it can be achieved for not much using an OEM product.

Jun 7 2018 at 6:03am Copy Link

j User When I ran the demo it displyed Supercharger on my Excel menu bar. Now that I have purchase a copy I can no longer see it on the nenue bar to add the license.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still not working. Can you assist? Thanks

Jun 7 2018 at 3:29pm Copy Link

Ian User Did you mean PowerPoint? The addin appears in PowerPoint not Excel.

You add the licence details at startup, not within a menu.

If the software is installed properly, you should get a splash screen at startup to allow you to register your licence.

It is possible that you have disabled the addin within File>options, but our support operation is closed ( its after midnight in the UK). I will discuss this with them in the morning to help you resolve this.

Can you either raise a ticket on our support website... www.idmb.uk/Forum or send an email (so they have your email address) to support@idmb-Advisory.com

This will avoid your email address being used on this public forum

Praveen Hi. I am interested in PROFESSIONAL PLUS version.
Now that the Pro Plus version is released, can I purchase it with this BitduJour offer?

Thanks!

Oct 3 2018 at 9:15am Copy Link

Ian User Sorry, that version is not available via BItsDuJour

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Oct 3 2018 at 10:59am Copy Link

Monica User I almost purchased, I looked on your website and the plus is really the version that would help me. It looks like a nice product, maybe you can make a future offer for the plus. I think you'll get more orders.

Jun 14 2019 at 3:18am Copy Link

Jeanie Kiser The feature to 'standardize' the font used would be useful, but in my experience and what I am looking for most is the ability to use a template and the ability to bulk insert individual images, in order (from a folder) directly onto designated places (whether on the same slide and/or onto separate slides.) This would be a tremendous time saver.

I have found a work-around, but my work-around takes time, as well. If you have a PowerPoint plugin that can do this, I would be very interested in a product that could easily perform this task... Thank you.

Jun 14 2019 at 5:44am Copy Link

Ian User @Monica we are not promoting the plus version via BDJ, but we will certainly consider it in the future. Check out our webpage for offers, there is currently a 50% discount for plus on there

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Jun 14 2019 at 4:24pm Copy Link

Ian User @jeanie Kiser. You can use a template to standardise many things in this version. The plus version gives you many more options.
We will consider any requests for enhanced functionality. If you want to add detailed requirements, you can do so at www.idmb.uk/Forum... there is a user forum section for improvement submissions

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Jun 14 2019 at 4:28pm Copy Link

Gary User What is the price of the professional version in US dollars?

Feb 1 2020 at 2:40am Copy Link

Ian User This offer IS for the Professional version... it is $12

If you mean Professional Plus, then it is NOT offered on this site, but there is a 50% offer running on our own site officesupercharger.com at £75 list and therefore £37.50 discounted... this equates to around $50. (you can use an online converter to check this out)

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Feb 1 2020 at 3:03am Copy Link

Gary User Are all the things shown in the video on the website in the Professional version, or are some of those features only in the Pro Plus version?

Feb 1 2020 at 3:44am Copy Link

Ian User Hi... if you mean the video at the bottom of the page, then yes, this is for the professional version (this offer). For fuller details, there is a version comparison table to the right of the video. PLUS version offers additional tools for working on multiple documents at once plus other neat things.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Feb 1 2020 at 3:54am Copy Link

Stephen Kreyling I was going to buy until I saw that the plus is really the only version that would help. Any plans on putting the plus version at 80% off? That version I would buy. The pro is ok, but key features are in the plus.

Feb 1 2020 at 6:58am Copy Link

Ian User We don't have any immediate plans to discount PLUS version beyond the current 50% offer on our site... you could sign up to our newsletter, so that if we do discount in the future, you get notified. Alternatively email our support at support@idmb-advisory.com and ask for a discount... I doubt youd get 80%, but you might get something!

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Feb 1 2020 at 7:09am Copy Link

bvssunnydale Hi, just wondering if this had any table of contents creation/facilitating tools? Thanks very much.

Feb 1 2020 at 9:38am Copy Link

Ian User Yes, there is a table of contents generator that has several options such as generate every page, generate every section, look for title pages and generate based on those. It also adds a hyperlink to the page on the TOC so that you can just click on the link while in presentation mode to go to that page. In addition, you can create a hidden link on all pages that takes you back to the TOC, so that navigating the presentation while presenting is slick.

Checkout the list of features on the linked sales page.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Feb 1 2020 at 9:56am Copy Link

Gary User After the program has been used to create the PowerPoint presentation, does it have to be on the computer used to display the PowerPoint presentation?

Feb 1 2020 at 11:25am Copy Link

Ian User No, it just edits a normal PowerPoint presentation... you can use it like any other PowerPointt presentation. Copy, move, edit, everything... thats the point. This is an add-in to the normal PowerPoint functionality not a replacement. It appears in the normal menus of PowerPoint, when you start PowerPoint up.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Feb 1 2020 at 11:35am Copy Link

DH007 1. How can I get Professional Plus? Is it also offered with 80 percent discount?
2. Fineprint says Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for minor versions only.On your web page you state lifetime. What is your definition of lifetime? Now I tried to re-activate my old licence for Excel addin bought in 2018 and it failed.

Sep 10 2022 at 2:18am Copy Link

Ian User The professional plus version is not offered at 80%... check our website for latest offers.

Lifetime means the same as minor versions. The software you buy will be usable forever.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Sep 10 2022 at 3:11am Copy Link

Ian User For the wxcel problem, please email the details to websupport@idmb-advisory.com and we will sort it out. Its likely the add in is showing as already installed, so we will need to reset it

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Sep 10 2022 at 3:14am Copy Link

DH007 Dear Ian, thank you for your reply.
Do you have any history of releases with dates?
I do not want to buy Lifetime when it is actually limited to minor versions only. It is not proper lifetime. it is minor versions only. Your licence term (however wrong I feel) is not even bound to any timeframe (e.g. at least 2-3 years or so). Hence a developer may release a new major software version every 3 months or earlier if short of money (As you are aUK based company it may come as soon as in October after Ofgem price cap increase).

Sep 10 2022 at 3:49am Copy Link

Ian User I think you may be confusing lifetime with something else.

If you buy the software it will work as is without the need to upgrade in future.

If we do major release which would likely include additional functionality, then we reserve the right to charge for this new functionality.

We do not levy a maintenance fee which would be normal for a multi release license.

You need to decide whether the current version meets your needs.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Sep 10 2022 at 4:42am Copy Link

DH007 Thank you for your reply.
1. Do you have a link to history of software releases with dates as well?
2. How many upgrades/ paid major releases have you issued for this software in - let me say - last three years?

Sep 10 2022 at 6:33am Copy Link

Ian User There have been no major releases in last 3 years as the software is stable.
the version number would indicate 19 patch releases, though that is over a slightly longer period and include some additional user-suggested functions.

IDMB Advisory Ltd - Sep 10 2022 at 10:42am Copy Link

DH007 Ian, I feel I would go for purchase. Just last question - do you offer some all bundle, e.g. PowerPoint+Excel+Word add in for a discounted price. I have checked your web page but the 80 percent discount here is far better than 00135 for a 50% discount there...

Sep 11 2022 at 1:41am Copy Link

Ian User Hi... The bundle offer on the website already includes a bundle discount. Add to this the current 00135 offer and you are not far away from the 80% discount you mention.

That's the best offer for the foreseeable future.
