What are people saying about Privacy Protector for Windows 11

Bertie Brummel The vendor's website says, "available for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 too".
However, there's a DL ink for the Win 10 version only. Does the installer switch to the appropriate version automatically?

Col- Hectorz Sory to desapoint you but...

SoftOrbit does not give real giveaway.
After a variable time the pro or any given version turn to a trial or is simply disable.
I download 4-5 of these giveaway and they are all disable.
I triad to contact them and even with their explanation i never had my giveaway back.
This is not the only company fooling around like this but they are amoung the rare one to never admit their falt in mis leading you.

I will never try a soft from them anymore, btraing me is the same as stoling me.
It is more like an extended trial, what ever they say it is.

van zan Don't install, just a bait and switch wanting to lock you into a subscription. Even with the key they give you after 2 additional emails they finally give you one but product still says unregistered, hence the subscription to remove this. I expect it to be disabled in the future as well, and considering the damage that could happened turning off OS tracking apps, then unable to restore it when the tools goes defunct, would almost force you to purchase just to restore your Os to original configuration. uninstalled already..

Adam Bridge If this is time limited then I don't believe BDJ should feature it. Free means free, "time limited" or "subscription" software is a different thing. I would have been very annoyed if I had installed this on my machine only to find I was required to pay later to keep using it.

Either make "time limited" and "subscription" software VERY CLEAR in the headings or better still, don't feature it at all. Otherwise BDJ will lose their users' trust they have built up over several years.

Allan Fibecker Last time, SoftOrbit's gave this program away, it was in version 1.6 - as far as I recall, ands the licence ran out all of a sudden. Choose a freeware solution as O&O's ShutUp Windows : https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10

A User Where's the key. The installer tells you it was sent to your e-mail, but nothing arrives. Scam?

jman I'd recommend avoiding this software. I tried it last month from a giveaway on another site and am sorry I did.

First, though I checked "create a restore point' when I ran it, it did not create one. Then, when I started noticing other oddities in how the system was working afterwards and wanted to restore my system to a time prior to installing this software, I found that it, as part of its privacy protection I assume, had deleted all my previous restore points so I was unable to do that.

It leaves the user on the dark about what it is doing. You check what you want, run it, it does its thing, supposedly, and just sits there.

It leaves the user completely in the dark about what it has done. Did it do all the things you checked? There is no confirmation, no log, no place to reference what it has done to your system. Since it does not show you what it has done, there is no way to decipher the cause of any problems that may arise.

Additionally, though I had a licensed version installed, looking at it today, it says "unregistered version".

All of this leads me to determine that this software is far too buggy and poorly coded and should be avoided.

Thanks anyway, as always, BDJ team.

Robert Crombie MS has a nasty habit of changing things EG in the recent Anniversary release.
Is this program up to date, in the sense that it caters for MS's latest changes ?
Rob
PS that could explain the problems that jboy noticed.
