What are people saying about Private Internet Access (3 years plan + 3 months free)

Software Babe Here's the problem I have with PIA, which is an EXCELLENT VPN, THAT IS, IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 10. I have Windows 7 and NOW PIA DOES NOT HAVE ANY UPDATES FOR PIA THAT IS INSTALLED ON WINDOWS 7.

So, because PIA does not support Windows 7 anymore, they have just alienated a customer. NORDVPN still supports W7 and is located in PANAMA, outside the USA, so I trust it better than PIA..................NOW.

Constantin Florea @dutchy User, If you go to the product page itself by typing it in a browser (without clicking the Get This Deal button on the promotion page), you will not see the discounted price we're offering today.

To see the discounted price we're offering today, please press the Get This Deal button, that will lead you to a page where you can get the 3 years + 2 months plan for $79.00 which translates to $2.08 per month. We don't have any other deal.

Constantin Florea So the price of the deal for the 3 years plan + 2 free month is $79.00 (we don't have another price). This means you would be actually be paying $2.08 dollars per month during those 38 months except you're actually paying this sum ($2.08 * 38 = $79.00) at the beginning when you decide to participate in this offer. I see you do get this $2.08 price per month for the 3 years plan when you try to sign up (one of the pictures you sent, shows this).

Also, I see in the images you sent us, you included the 2 years plan which has a $2.50 price per month and you are I believe asking that the 83% off discount to be based on this $2.50 price? If so, that is not the case because the regular price of $464 is an approximation of the monthly price of the product which is $11.95, that is what the vendor asked us to use.

If we were to take into consideration that the regular price per month is $2.50 (which is the one for the 2 years plan) then the regular price for the 3 years plan would be $2.50 x 38 = $95 so the actual discount in the case of the 3 years plan would be 16.84% (not 83%).

Gavin User Thank you - I may have been getting confused by the dollar amounts... Your prices are in USD whilst I'm in Australia. Thanks for your reply, I have purchased PIA.

yabatopia How is 3 years + 2 months free = 36 months? Does the service uses a compression method or is it throttling a year to 11 months and 10 days? Anyway, great deal.

Peter User I tried to sign up and was given two year subscription. When you click through first page you will see it says 2 year. Contacted PIA and there is something wrong on their end. They were nice enough to refund my two year subscription. They are alerting their marketing people and told me to try again later.

Jive Talking If you click through, you are taken to this page:

https://www.privateintern...sub=100001

If I scroll down, I am shown a big ad for the 3-year plan + 2 extra months for $79.

However, clicking on "Sign Up Now" takes me to the usual sign-up page that only offers the 2-year plan + 2 extra months for $69.95.

So, how does one actually get the offered 3-year deal?

kydara Ummm....their regular price for 2 years + 2 months free is $69.95. Extrapolating to 3 years + 2 months would be about $105. The $464 price is complete nonsense. Yes this is a "deal" but not a great one and certainly nowhere near 83% off.

R Master I can confirm that this DOES NOT work on Windows 7, which they don't tell you anywhere in this offer. I have had TWO subscriptions to PIA over the last 4 years. I can also tell you that PIA makes it impossible to cancel auto-renewal, so once they have your credit card number, they will keep renewing. It has happened to me twice now. I have just sent my 5th request to cancel Private Internet Access, and ten days later, they still have not credited my credit card. PIA works OK for WIndows 10, but their billing is a nightmare. F rating at BBB over billing practices.

Bits Du Jour is a good service, and I have bought over 80 software programs from you over the years, so if you really care about your customers, please don't censor my comment!

Constantin Florea @R Master, If you did purchase the product through us and have any kind of trouble with the software, including with the auto-renewal, please send us an email at notify@bitsdujour.com and we will work with the vendor to help fix the issue.
