What are people saying about RasterStitch

Thomas L. I could not find where I can set the camera rotation type (planar, cylindrical,...) so my test stitch of 5 pictures resulted in a banana-picture. It stiched pictures where the free MS ICE (Image Composite Editor) gave up. But if MS ICE manages then the resulting banana can be bend and do not show a wave pattern as this tool did.
"Auto point" feature worded well, but I was not able to correct "Point 2" after "Auto point" had been given a try.

Pedro Laurent Hi, is there any tutorial on how to use RasterStitch, all my stitch pictures come really comes out in a bad angle and the auto point doesn't really work for me as it makes stitching worse than doing it manually. Thank you

Mike Morozov RasterStitch haven't tools for camera correction. First of all it a simple image stitching software for  precise image merging in automaitc or manual mode. It may stitch very large scan images or photo with small distortions.

Some tutorials may be found in help.

Sandro Perotti Copied from their web site: "The program was splitted on two separate branches: precise image stitching and panorama creation tool."
Does this offer include both?

Louis H Good question,Sandro.

I, too, would like to know if both programs are included. Each is listed separately on the web site, for $34.95. I could use both programs.

I have downloaded both demo programs but will not be able to check them out, to see what differences exist between the two, until later today.

Stephen Stimac Do the images to be stitched have to be the same image size? I presently use a stitch program which works quite well but requires the images to be the exact same size.

Mike Morozov Images may have different sizes, no restrictions. Overlap depend on stitching mode: in the manual mode 1 pixel is enough, but the automatic mode need some overlap.

CFGuy Hi - Your program looks very good, and thank you for offering it here on BJD at a discount. I visited your website, and, in fact, your programs all look very good. But I am confused about this offering, "RasterStitch", as I see on your website that you also offer a program named "RasterStitch Panorama" (which seems to be about half the price of the "RasterStitch" program). Would you please explain the difference between the 2 programs, also does the "RasterStitch" program do everything that the "RasterStitch Panorama" program does, but with additional features (therefore justifying the higher price), or do the 2 programs each do entirely different things? Thanks for your help with this question. -CFguy

Mike Morozov Hi ! RasterStitch Panorama software for creating photo panoramas. It makes panoramas from a series of images with perspective correction. The RasterStitch primarily for stitching a scanned images with high precision. Such as drawings or maps. Stitching can be made both in automatic and manual modes. RasterStitch can merge a large images with preserving a scale and resolution.

Brad RasterStitch appears to have a broader feature set or at least a more refined feature set based on your reply to CFGuy, .

But if I am understanding your reply to CFGuy, the RasterStitch being offered here in addition to having an enhanced feature set, that of stitching together the scans of 'drawings or maps' etc. It will also do what RasterStitch Panorama does as well?

Thanks in advance for the clarification. Brad
