I searched for a way to edit my recording after closing and reopening RecMaster Screen Recorder but found none.

I think I found the answer in the user manual, with this note :
"Note: The edit feature is only available for video recording now. If you want to edit your audio recording, you should turn to a third-party audio editor."
As far I can understand, this should be appended : "If you want to edit your video recording later, you should turn to a third-party video editor."

It's not clear why technically. And it makes this tool far from perfect for "building training videos". It's like a flat pack furniture vendor did not provide the necessary screws unless you assemble the piece of furniture in the shop !
Probable deal breaker for me... Sorry.

Sputnik Hi, I've just bought the lifetime license and try to install the software, but it is impossible : as soon as I launch the setup file, I receive an error window message saying :

sakis kom Why the software must connect over the internet and check the licence EVERY TIME program starts? And when there is no internet, program REFUSE to start!

The software is for record video, the internet connection for that is not important. Its a joke that anyone cannot use it if don't have internet connection.

Sputnik Is that possible to get a refund : I've lost a couple of hours yesterday on my computer, I've been obliged to reinstall Windows.

Today, I have been able to install RecMaster, but I've been obliged to shut off one of my security software in order to be able to install the program and I must keep this security software shut off in order to be able to use RecMaster.

I want a refund.

Judi Podgurski I got the free for a year version, and thus far, I am more than pleased. downloaded and installed perfectly. I am running Win10, on an 8 year old laptop. Everything worked perfectly ! Easy to install, and register. My Norton says the download is clean, and it is. Te BEST feature for me though, is the ease of use. WOW !!! I have been wanting a way to record YouTube videos, with the closed captions attached, and this is the way to go. This is a winner for me, in every respect, but I will work with it, before I decide to purchase. Exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks VERY much !!

I agree with you that it's very disturbing that the program needs an internet connection to work properly.

What's more - I paid for the program and registered it.
Without internet it reverts to the free version again as if I never bought it.
and has the limitations of the free version..

I understand the reason - to avoid piracy, but there are other ways to achieve this,rather than disabling or negating registration and proof of payment.

Some of the largest companies (incl. Msft) allow off-line use of their programs once paid for and registered..

A competitor - admittedly at a higher price - does not have those limitations.
I should know - I have both - so easy to compare..

TJ The license code issue has been solved. Unfortunately however, I am unable to change the video "Save to" location in the Settings menu. The unchangeable location RecMaster (version 2.0.806.205) has picked for me is not where I want my videos to be saved. Any help or suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

Derex DOWNLOAD FAILURE:

1. In my (actual) Opera-Browsser the Downloadlink does not open with left-click (when you do it often there will come a message "trying to do multimple downloads from this site, allow.."
2. with Rightclick on the downloadlilnk there comes the usual seve to dialog, but Download never gets finished though it fully downloaded - you copy and rename the temporary downloaded file and is the fully downloaded program
3. in seldom cases this also happens on a small minority of other sites

verdict: This is a repeated failure on the bitsdujour.com side, most likely it has to do semething with your server configuration

RichU I was able to download by right-clicking the link that says to "click here if download doesn't start" and then saving. Then if you get a message from MS that they have protected your computer, right click again to allow the download.

Myself, I have had this problem for some time downloading on bitsdujour. I do not know what it is in their site code that causes the difficulties???

RichU Try right-clicking on the link and choosing "save as". Then, when you run the executable, Windows will not allow you to run the setup. You have to click the list box for the download and select "keep" or "save".
Once you are running the program, select "custom install" if you do NOT wish to be in the customer improvement program. Once you have the program installed, you will get a message for a new version... That's right, this is not the latest version. If you upgrade, your license key is no longer valid. Kind of "bait and switch" if you ask me. Hope this helps.

SKY Sakis kom, software that connects to the vendor is a risk factor, and no software needs to do that, except during code confirmation the first time maybe, and also, antivirus apps need to do that for frequent update. Otherwise, if a software connect to the internet, which is referred to as "calling home", then there is a great possibility and high probability that everything you do with their software is being watched, collected and stored by the app developer. In other words, a spyware. I block every attempt to call home by an app, and if it doesn't work, I immediately uninstall it and every traces of it in the system.

Robert Crombie I recently tried another video'ish program (NOT a recorder), and my Beelink mini PC did not have the grunt needed. It was lucky I did not pre purchase it.
I assume there would be two ways to try out your program (prior to my purchase).
1 ) Download your trial
2 ) Install your 1 year giveaway
Which of the above would be the best way for me to avoid complications, if I then purchase the lifetime offer ?

Also, in the demo version there is a lag between audio and video.

BitBucket Annoyance common to many of these programs, they won't let you paste in the registration code.

You have to enter it character by error-prone character.

Stephen Kreyling The software works well, but when I went to purchase the lifetime version, I learned the lifetime meaning and the standard meaning on this software. You can install the software on a computer and if the hardware dies, such as your hard drive or memory chip, you have to buy it again. You can not deactivate and move to another computer. Looking at my computer drive lifespan left, they both are 25% used and the lifetime version would not work once the drive needed to be cloned and replaced. The software would be much better if you had the ability to deactivate the license install a new hardware replacement and then re activate. This software would require a new purchase to put back on the computer with a new drive. So, keep in mind lifetime is only for you harddrive lifetime and not always very long depending on the use of the drive.
