Praveen Is this deal for a lifetime upgrade license?

I don't see anywhere (in the fine print or on your website) about version numbers or upgrades.

William W. Geertsema An earlier version of this program (the file size of secuperts-firstaidkit_en.zip was 1,408,340,173 bytes, whereas the present size is 1,516,025 KB) was offered on BitsDuJour on November 24, 2016.

I downloaded that earlier version to my Windows 7 Pro 32-bit system, and installed on a 16-GB USB stick.

When I started up the machine from that memory stick, I ran into no end of trouble:

-- The OS which started up was painfully slow;
-- before long, the system crashed; it looked like a memory crunch, but could have been any conceivable conflict of tasks;
-- when I tried to restart my normal Windows 7, I was repeatedly confronted with an error message,and at first could not proceed from that point (every Escape would repeat that situation);
-- when I then inserted the Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 CD, it showed me that the drive letters of literally ALL drives had been changed; it took me a lot of time to restore normal drive letters;
-- attempting to restart my normal Windows again led nowhere;
-- I finally figured out that during the start process a (barely visible) choice of two Windows 7 installations was presented, and that the top (default) choice led nowhere (probly to the USB drive, but I was loath to let that run again);
-- when I selected the second "Windows 7" the machine started up normally;
-- unhappy with this default state of affairs (which made unattended booting impossible), I downloaded and installed NeoSmart Technologies' Easy BCD; that program allowed me to change the default on startup to my normal Windows 7 (although stil listed in second place), and to reduce the timeout from 30 seconds to 8 seconds. From then on, I could restart my machine in normal fashion;
-- when I finally could run Windows again normally, it turned out that drive C: had been mutilated; running CHKDSK /F C: solved that.

All in all, not a satisfying experience.

I suspect that "First Aid Kit" had been coded on 64-bit machines, and only tested on 64-bit machines, at least for Windows 7.

Until (a lot of) time has passed, I will not attempt to boot again from the memory stick. Perhaps it is worth a try after I upgrade to 64 bits and huge memory (at least 8 GB)

Engelmann Software Dear William, the software is for 32- and 64-bit systems. In case of problems, please contact our support: helpengelmann.com

But please note: Our software can't change e.g. the driver letters. The system rund completly from the USB stick and is independend from your other configuration.

I may guess that theUSB stick installation maybe failed. We ususally suggest to use sticks from Sandisc or Intenso. But you can try to boot our software using a DVD!

Mario After being redirected to the purchase page, I cannot find the Discount Coupon Code field. I am afraid that after completing the payment and pressing the Buy Now button, the transaction will be made without a discount.

Jon Spain @Mario I had the same thing and I've queried it with vendor's shopfront before paying, I shall update here when I can. It could be something like Firefox not seeing everything, when Chrome does, but vendor should have tested that.

Constantin Florea @Mark Snyder, I just contacted the vendor about your request. For this promotion only the vendor can refund the order because the order went through an e-Commerce controlled by the vendor (not by BitsDuJour).
