Bruno Verschraegen Same observation. No sign on RBSoft's website of contact details, not even of an email address or a form. The screenshots are enticing; it looks like a great utility. Even if my right-click menu is already cluttered with many programmes having added entries there in not always a very orderly way. Actually, this may be an extra reason to install Right Click Enhancer to help getting to useful right-click entries more easily.

But not being able to contact a vendor isn't a good thing... Hope RBSoft will pick up on this and correct.

Jan-Christoph Ihrens There is a contact form at http://forum.rbsoft.org/contact. You have to have JavaScript activated to see it.

Bruno Verschraegen Thank you Jan-Christoph, but two comments:

1) JavaScript IS enabled on my computer (W7 64bit IE10). When I clicked on your link, the contact form appeared. However, when I refreshed the page it disappeared. Also when I subsequently clicked again on the link, the form did not re-appear. Puzzled...

2) Is depending solely from a setting like JavaScript being enabled not a little too restrictive in terms of providing (prospective) customers a way of getting in touch with you?

Jan-Christoph Ihrens @Bruno Verschraegen: You can't get in touch with me via the form - I'm in no way connected to the vendor, I'm just a BDJ customer who tried to help... ;)

I only tried Firefox 22, where I had to allow JavaScript for the site in NoScript (a plugin for selectively allowing several features for individual sites). IE10 shows me a JavaScript error and no form at all. No form in Chrome, too. It seems they want to be contacted by Firefox users only. ;)

Tortuga My Right-Click is a bit of a mess!! Been wanting to do something abt it
Specially wanted to make cascading sub-menus for certain categories
Have yet to figure out how to do all that
Heard good things abt FileMenu Tools though. Does anybody has experience w it?
The video seems to do what I was looking for. If this company turns out to be reputable, I'll buy it!

Michael R. I have always thought about icons on the desktop with (for exactly this icon) specific submenus, i.e. which act similar to the start-menu.

E.g. there could be an icon labeled Internet, and using the RMB would open a menu, from which I could call IE, Outlook, FireFox, Chrome, ...

And another icon called Text which could contain submenus Word, RichEdit, Uedit, ... (but of course no submenus IE, Outlook, ...)

This way my desktop would be definitively less chaotic as it is currently.

Is this possible with your tool?
Aug 7 2013 at 12:18am Copy Link

Ravi Patel You can create submenu in your desktop right click with name Internet where you can add shortcuts related to internet and you can also rearrange shortcuts in those submenu created by Right Click Enhancer. Just try the software.

I'm interested in buying your app. Have 2 questions:
1) When buying 1 license we get both the installer «and» the portable version?
2) Would like to know if the changes made w the portable version are persistent/permanent
Meaning, if the external HDD is not connected, the changes made are still in effect
Thanks

1) You will get both installer and portable version with 1 license.
2) Yes, Changes made will be permanent. If you remove the external HDD containing Right Click Enhancer Pro it won't remove the changes. All the changes are persistent/permanent .

GoodNPlenty Looks like an interesting product, but I'm hesitant to access your website. I have never had any issues with BitsDuJour vendors before so its probably a false positive, but I don't want to take a risk.

In accessing your website Webroot SecureAnywhere is saying rbsoft.org (Contains malicious content) This website contains a known threat and has been blocked. See below image link.

It's a false positive. Website is flagged due to toolbar advertising offers in Right Click Enhancer free version. But now i removed it in Right Click Enhancer 4.1.1 which is released recently. I'm sure Webroot SecureAnywhere will mark the site as safe once they scan it again. It will take time. Do not worry it is safe to access the website.

Pim Joosten Hello Ravi,

I am interested in buying but have a couple of questions.

1. Is it possible to change right click menu items for specific file extensions?
2.Is there any advantage of installing the application over using the portable version? I would assume so if these are separate programs.
3. In the comparison between the free version and the professional version the line "Add, Edit and Remove entries of right click menu of Internet Explorer" is included twice. Is this an error or should something else have been included (Windows Explorer perhaps)?
4. Is there a change log for the program?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Ravi Patel @Pim Joosten
1. Yes you can change right click menu items for specific file using Right Click Editor tool present in Right Click Enhancer Professional.
2. No, Both versions are same. Only advantage of using Portable version over Installer is you can add app to flash drive and can use it on PC just by inserting flash drive, No installation required.
3. It was a mistake. Thanks for pointing out the issue.
4. Here is the Change log.

Pim Joosten Thanks Ravi for your response. I have just downloaded this program and started testing it. However, I do not seem to be able to find an option to change the order of items in the right click menu. Is there such an option? If not, will it possibly be added in the future? I like neat and tidy menus with the items I used most at the top. I do not know whether this possible at all, I am just asking.

Also, for specific file extensions can I add an item? For instance, I have 2 versions of iMindMap installed. The older version has .imm as extension and the newer version .imx. However, the new version has claimed both extensions, so I would like to make a new command that opens .imm files in the older version. Is that possible?

NotesTracker - Tony Austin Ravi, it seems that Right Click Enhancer works only for the Windows desktop. Is that so? Your demo doesn't show the user clicking anywhere else, anyway.

What about editing the context menus of other applications (both Microsoft apps like Windows Explorer and non-Microsoft apps). You really should mention this explicitly on your website. It would be a real boon to be able to enhance the context menus of other apps. (I'll buy a license anyway.)

Tortuga @Ravi Patel - Thank you for your early responses :)

1) Is there a video tutorial that includes XP? The video here specifies:
» "Create time-saving right click shortcuts (Windows Vista or Later)"
And the other video I found on YT is: Remove/Disable unwanted entries
Since the majority of my systems are still XP, wd like a video that includes it

2) Am also interested on Tony Austin's question! I assumed, maybe wrongly, that this app would edit «ALL» entries, not those for desktop ONLY

Thank you

You can't reorder items already present in right click menu. If you add sub menu to right click menu then add shortcuts in it using Right Click Shortcuts Creator tool of RCE Pro, you can reorder those shortcuts in those sub menu added by RCE, nothing else can be reordered.

You can add command for specific file extensions using File Types Editor tool of RCE. Just search for the extension and click on it you will see all the right click menu entries on the right side list. You can add an entry to the list by pressing Plus button at the right side. Refer to documentation for more details.

1) You can't add sub menus or shortcuts using this tool on Windows XP. Right Click Editor works similarly on Windows XP and Windows 7 so i there is no need for a video on Windows XP.
2) You can Add, Remove or Disable entries in context menu of all the file extensions in your PC.

What I really want to do is create sub menus, since the context menu is waaay too long & messy

Cary Adams Does your program have the intelligence to recognize extensions? For example if I ass a PDF reader app shortcut, will it only appear in the context menu when a pdf file is highlighted, and not appear with other files, folder, drives. Otherwise this seems only to add more clutter.

BTW "maintenance" is misspelled in your video.

You can add new command to context menu of specific extension using File Types Editor tool in RCE Pro. So when PDF file is highlighted you will see newely added command in context menu. But you can't add sub menus to specific file extension's context menu. If you want to do that i can provide older version of RCE Pro. I removed feature from new version that allows you to add sub menus to specific file extension's context menu.

Bruno Verschraegen Sorry. Had posted follow-up message to Math Mike's message explaining about same experience but had not yet seen the bit about having recovered the file and installation went all right. I had contacted also RBSoft who replied very rapidly said that this has been checked with Virustotal which gave a pass. So probably a false positive (although very rare for NIS). So I'll try to recover too and install. If NIS doesn't block the installation, it should be alright.
Looking forward to using the utility.

1) Does RCE Pro have an "Undo" or "Restore to default" function?
Read a review that it doesn't, but maybe the function has been added since?
2) On your site, can't seem to find the page for Right Click Cascading Menu Creator (for W7 & above), even though it's mentioned on several sites (Softpedia, CNet, etc). Is it still available? On other sites, last vs I could find is 2.6.1 from mid.2012
3) Can you please confirm: free RCE version 4.1.1 does «not» hv adware toolbars, right? Will future free versions have adware, as previous versions did?
Thank You
Aug 9 2013 at 4:54pm Copy Link

Ravi Patel @Tortuga
1) You can recover anything to a previous state. You can't recover removed right click entries using Right Click Editor unless you have them exported from the app. Same goes for functions in File Types Editor. If you want to recover changes from those tools just use export functionality before you remove something.
2) Right Click Cascading Menu Creator is now part of the Right Click Shortcuts Creator. Those sites reviewed old version so there are mentions of it.
3) RCE Pro never have any toolbar offers. I can't add toolbar offers in Paid version, that's just not fair. Also i don't like toolbar offers myself so i removed it from Right Click Enhancer 4.1.1 Free version. I don't think i will add adware offers in future versions but that depends on support from the users.

Colin McAllister Hi,
I tried the program using Win 8. The only thing that had any snags was the "Right Click Editor". I assumed that was because the program was unregistered and, as the other stuff seemed to have things I wanted, and worked as I expected, I bought the software and registered it.

Sadly, the "Right Click Editor" still isn't working. All I get is "Loading right click menu entries. Please wait..." and it runs for ages without producing any entries. Is there a fix for this please?

_*_ I would like to know how to fully uninstall this product?

I did an uninstall, but it left all the "right click" menus in place I created, and now I cannot find a way to remove them.

This is a major flaw when it leaves menus behind after it is uninstalled, leaving the user helpless to remove it completely.

Ravi Patel Right Click Enhancer Professional doesn't use shell extensions to create menus and also to support the functionality of the Portable Application, it is not a good idea to remove the menus when software is removed. But you can easily backup changes if you have backup of the registry using Export functionality in each tool. Removing menus and shortcuts is also easy and take only 2 mins. Just use the portable version of Right Click Enhancer Professional and remove shortcuts and menus from Right Click Shortcut Creator and Apply Changes.

_*_ Ravi Patel, thank you for writing back.

Well, I had to reinstall the program to remove what the program created on my system.
I would strongly encourage you to fix this problem of the program leaving things behind and the user stuck unless they reinstall and manually remove menus and then have to uninstall once more.

Jo Ann Rice I see that the program has the export to a registry file. Is that curently the backup system for it or is there an actual backup system so that the setup can be restored after computer formats and such? Looks like a pretty handy tool, but I have another program that I like to use that has a not so good backup system that I could enhance or replace with this one if it has a good backup system.

Thanks! :)

Jo Ann Rice Hiya Ravi,

Does the export to registry work for restoring the settings after a format of the computer? If so then that's all that I need as long as it will put it back the way it was so I don't have to start over and redo it all again.

Registry exports works great for restoring some entries after you format your PC. But is you have created some application shortcuts in right click menu using Right Click Shortcuts Creator tool and backup those registry make sure you have that application present in same location when you restore the registry.

For example If you installed Right Click Enhancer in C:\Program Files\Right Click Enhancer and made shortcut of it in right click menu then make sure you install Right Click Enhancer in same location after formatting your PC.

Jo Ann Rice Ok Thanks Ravi, that answers pretty much all the rest of the questions I had except for one.

Based on what you mention about reinstalling a program in the same place etc. I am wondering, if you do "not" have the shortcut program installed first, but install it after you install Right Click, will it then show in the right click menu or does the Right Click program remove any entries that were not present at the time it's installed?

Hopefully that made sense, please let me know if you need me to word it better. :)

Exported registry files works without having to install Right Click Enhancer Professional. So if you don't install the application present as shortcut in the menu it will show up when you restore the registry file. Exported registry files are designed to keep Right Click Enhancer Professional portable. so even if you don't install Right Click Enhancer Professional, you can still restore the registry files exported by it.

Feb 6 2014 at 3:59am Copy Link

Ravi Patel @Robert Edwards

There is no difference in functionality between the installer and portable version. Portable version allows you to use the software just by extracting zip file. So you can put the portable version on flash drive, plug the flash drive and do some changes in right click menu. Now even if you remove the flash drive all the changes will be there. Installer version permanently resides on your hard drive. You will get both installer and portable version when you buy Right Click Enhancer Professional.

Loco78 * So if I have one version purchased on 1 laptop and a second license purchased and installed as a portable laptop for 2 when you connect to one device I'll have the functions selected in one version (selected after installation on the mobile device) and when connected to another if it will be different will display the options that are set in a portable version, or those who chose installing a second version of the program (not figuratively)? Because I do not know if this will then connect the USB drive makes sense and what options display (conflict settings between versions)?

Both installer and Portable version are same. So when you select an option in Installer version or add some shortcut from installer version. Same will shown to you in portable version when you insert flash drive with portable version and run it.

bvssunnydale Hi, what I really want is a program that would let me assign right-click (context menu) items to a shortcut. For example, a program I use all the time (called Copy This Path) is available by right-clicking and selecting it but it would be much quicker if I could simply high-light a file and select it's path (including file name) to go into the clipboard. XYPlorer can actually do this but it'd be nice if a program (maybe this one) could allow me to assign shortcuts to right-click features (like "Properties" or "FileNoter"). Just wondering and thanks.

Highend I'd like to add a context menu for the filetype "*" (all files).
As far as I can see it's not possible to add dividers and furthermore not possible to define where in the normal context menu these entries will appear?

E.g. I'm currently using FastExplorer (although it's been abandoned a few years ago) and this is how it looks like when I added three editors to the context menu (the red box shows what was added).

Is Right Click Enhancer able to do this?

_*_ I bought this last time and found it so-so.

I just reinstalled and added a file. This is my password manager file so I can call it up from any webpage.

The problem is it does not display in the right-click menu on webpages, but it does display the file in the right-click menu if I right click on the desktop.

Less than useful unless I am missing something.

I just want to use the program for one file so no matter where I right click it will display my password manager file.

Can this be done?

Cary Adams @Ravi... I use Xyplorer, a 32-bit file manager. Because it is 32-bit, many of my 64-bit shell extensions don't appear in its right-click menu. For example, I cannot right-click a file and scan with Avira Antvirus.

Does the Pro version overcome this? Can I add 64-bit executables which will appear in a 32-bit file explorer? I can't test this out with the free version, so I am curious.

bvssunnydale Ravi - the "did you mean Copy Path function in your previous comment? If you mean that you can do that on Windows 7 using right click with Shift pressed." isn't exactly what I meant. Right-clicking just calls up yet another menu, I was hoping to assign a right-click menu option to a shortcut (eg in XYPlorer clicking on a file and then CTRL-P copies the path and filename into the clipboard - without having to go thru a menu). The "Copy This Path" program from [ http://www.download3000.c...21976.html ] does the same thing via the context menu (and is a good option but there's no way to assign it a shortcut in Windows Explorer). Thanks for trying, though.

Using Right Click Enhancer Professional you can create applications and folders shortcuts directly in right click menu. You can even create sub menu and add those shortcuts to it. You can rearrange items in the submenu added by RCEP. You can remove or disable entries added by other applications and some of the system entries. File Menu Tools have some of the tweaks that present in Right Click Tweaker. In fact It has more options than Right Click Tweaker has but it doesn't allow same functionality of shortcuts creation as RCEP allows. It can only remove shell extensions not normal entries. Just try the trial version and see the difference. See description of features at http://rbsoft.org/downloa...k-enhancer.

Matt Hi Ravi. Thank you for your fast reply.

Avast Internet Security is calling the 'Professional' version of RCE, a virus. In order to both download and install RCE, I had to disable Avast And then to run RCE, I have to make an exclusion rule within Avast. I do realize that Avast is reporting this as a 'false positive'.

Will this issue with Avast, along with the various grammar and spelling errors, be something you will be fixing in the future?

Also, great catch by VLM in the missing hyphen (compound adjective) grammar error! I never noticed it and now when looking at 'Right Click' without being hyphenated, it just now has an odd look about it.

Chuck I previously purchased this and have it installed. It is a simple and inexpensive way to manage and manipulate the right click menu without having to resort to registry hacks.

The one limitation it has is related to grouping shortcuts. If you want to add a list of programs with a separator between the groups, you're currently out of luck. Although Ravi has been responsive to this request and built a 4.4 alpha release, it has severe limitations. Note you can use submenus for similar effect, but grouping with separators is what I want.

Other than this, it is a good utility program that does what it says on the tin, nothing more and nothing less.

The program is very fairly priced and with lifetime upgrades is good value...

Steven Aves Hi @Danny; sorry for the tardy reply - working! .

The reason it's worth it, for me at least, is the price is quite low and the program makes it very easy for me to modify, delete, or create menus that I like. I've got some old programs that added right-clicks that needed to be removed - easily done.

Main points to me; addressed a need I have in a cost efficient manner.

nylg What is the difference between Right Click Enhancer Professional and Right Click Enhancer Professional Portable?

Are there any features missing in the portable or any usability issues in the portable version?

Is the offer here on Bits Du Jour for a licence(s) for either the portable or non-portable version?

I am seriously considering this software because I can see that I will probably make a great deal of use of it.

Thank you

There is no difference feature wise. Portable version didn't require installation and can run from USB flash drive or any external drive. Just extract and run. There is no other difference.

You will get both the versions when you buy it. Although, you receive link for only installer version in your receipt email. You can download portable version from the official website.

Mister User Question for Ravi Patel:

There seems to be some discrepancies RE: whether Win XP is a platform that is supported by your program.

On BDJ site, it states:
Platforms: Windows XP, Vista (32 bit and 64 bit), 7 (32 bit and 64 bit), 8 (32 bit and 64 bit), Server 2003, Server 2008, Server 2012

HOWEVER, on your site I noticed three mentions that would seem to contradict XP being supported.

1) Create time-saving right click shortcuts (Windows Vista or Later)

2) Add application, file and folder shortcuts to right click menu (Windows Vista and later)

3) Add sub menus to right click menu and reorder shortcuts in those sub menu (Windows 7 and 8 Only)

Note: I was just about to purchase, when thankfully, I ran across the above... saving me from buying either a crippled utility, or perhaps one that would not work at all. You really should clarify this issue. I realize XP is an old OS, BUT, nevertheless there are still millions of users that rely upon our beloved XP.

Best regards, Mister Lee

Merrill Schlegel I paid through PayPal, but have not received my email with registration at least 30 minutes ago. Then I downloaded the app from my online receipt and then there was error messages that there is no certificate verification. I went ahead and tried installing and got write errors when trying to install. I ignored and continued, but when I tried the app I got another error that said I needed to download something that appeared to be coming from an unknown web site. To me it looked like malware and I did not load it. If the program does not work any better than the process to get it, then it is not worth the effort. Tortuga @Ravi Hello :)
Bought the app some time ago, installed/registered only the Portable on my PortableApps kit of my external HDD.
When I fired it up today, it indicated there was a new version available. But it dwlded the .zip, did *not* update the program per se.
My question is, when I deploy the new version, I suppose I'll need to register it again, right?
Will that become a problem in the long run, by activating with the same RegKey each time a new version comes out?
Or, is there a way to update the Portable from within the program itself?
Thank you in advance
Peace

Wolfman To the developer:

Check out an old right-click app called PicaView from ACD Systems. They discontinued it after Windows XP, leaving a vacuum for someone to re-develop the same capability.
The app provided a thumbnail preview of any image you right-click on, and provided a windowed preview upon left click, plus a menu with basic editing functions like rotate and resize.

If you already registered the previous version with the key then new version will be registered automatically.
Internal update mechanism don't update the portable version right now. It just download the Zip file and open it so you can extract it. I will see what can I do to make it update portable version too in future updates.

Foomonkey42 Here's the latest. I was able to download it via a download manager and then follow up and virus scan it with Avast. The downloaded file passed the scan, but was blocked as soon as I tried to execute the installer.

So I started looking into the credibility of the software developer's site: rbsoft.org. I think the reason the downloads are getting flagged as dangerous is because the site itself is being flagged by Norton and sucuri:

https://safeweb.norton.co...rbsoft.org
https://sitecheck.sucuri....rbsoft.org

It looks like this is partially based on the reputation of the site which may be affecting the desktop scanning software (which knows the site the download is coming from).

"Add to" items from 7-Zip comes from shell extension. So you need to Switch to Shell Extensions mode in Right Click Editor and disable "7-Zip Shell Extension".

Mary Wilson The program itself is very good which is the only thing I can say is nice about this program. The main reason I purchased this is for the Right Click Shortcuts Creator which I love.

Besides this, I do not think the program is supporting its customers as it refuses to answer support questions. When the last update came out, I tried to install it, but Norton Utilities would not let me update the program as they said the program was a threat. I tried two or three times to load it but nothing I could do would allow me to update the program on my system. I tried to contact customer service department to help solve the problem of why Norton Utilities would not let the program load. Unfortunately, they never contacted me on the problems that I was having. Not sure why they would come out with updates that you can't load due to not making sure that you can load it with current anti virus software. Still unable to get the program to update even after a few months of trying on my own.

Mary Wilson I have been waiting for a reply for over 6 months for help with this problem. Luckily, the part of the program that I use the most still works. As I stated before, the problem is that my virus program (Norton Utilities) says your program is a major threat and will not let me download it. No matter what I do. If I can't download the main program due to Norton saying your program is a major threat why would it let me download the portable version. Why are you not doing the work needed to make sure that the program is allowed to be downloaded and loaded by major anti-virus programs? If I have this problem downloading the program as an update, how many people are going to give up on the buying the program as they can't get the program to load as there anti-virus program says it is a threat?

Adam Bridge I don't think Norton Utilities has any anti-threat capability to monitor downloads and is more of a tune-up utility. If Mary meant a Symantec Antivirus product then it is a simple matter to turn off the protection, install the program and then turn the Norton protection back on again.

Mary Wilson I have Norton 360. Which does virus protection, web protection, and program protection. You are telling me to turn off Norton 360 to load your program. Why? Do you turn off your antivirus and firewall program to load programs on your system? I have loaded many programs and Norton 360 does not stop me from loading these. Why is it that your program is one of the few I have come across using BitSDuJour that it does not want to download or load.

John H Great deal for 6 Bucks!
The portable version is freeware. Any way to upgrade it to Pro version?

Being freeware you should submit the portable version to Portable Apps dot Com and that will give you lots of exposure.

Mary Wilsons Problem:
The problem is with Norton and how they vet software and files. The problem is not this software. I have found that some utility software that changes registry settings can be flagged as dangerous. I have found this to be true with popular NirSoft utility programs. This is true with Microsoft Security Essentials and probably so for Norton.

Adam Bridge Mary as I said the Developer needs to have the program properly submitted to Symantec (they have a process for doing so) so that in future it will be recognised as safe to download and install. Then your Norton 360 antivirus software won't complain. The Developer appears to have been previously aware of the issue before you raised it as there is a mention of false positives in the FAQ section of the RBSoft website under the heading "Is your software a Virus?"

The FAQ states and I quote verbatim:

"Recently some anti-virus program have been flagging Right Click Enhancer Professional as a virus. I can assure you this is not the case or never will be. If you experience this, it is a false postive. I always check my softwares with Virsutoal before releasing it to ensure it's not flaged by anti virus software as false positive."

The onus is clearly on the Developer to get this rectified if he wants to avoid complaints like yours in future. However that said, all your Norton product is doing is being overly cautious and trying to protect your system by stopping you from downloading and installing something it thinks looks suspicious. It doesn't mean there is a problem and there clearly don't seem to be any issues as I and others have installed without a problem.

I guess the simple answer in the meantime is if you don't want to workaround the problem just pass on purchasing !

Ravi, I have paid. Would you please send the program to me? Thanks in advance. Alternatively: provide a site from which I can download the program.

pw3000 Purchased 6 months and like this software. Saves so much time by customizing right click menu to include options that replace steps that used to take so much time. For the cost, everyone should own it. Had no problems with installation, In addition to Virustotal and Jotti's online scan, I use Avast, Winprivacy and Winantiransom. I only needed to allow internet access to check for updates. Then I turned internet access back off.
Job well done....Thank you.

It was 3 years ago. Right Click Enhancer Free version used to have ads in the installer. I removed it then and released the Professional version to support my development efforts. Now there is no adware in installer for both Free and Professional version.

Alexandre Emeriau Hi,

Is it a lifetime licence?
Can we delete (move in submenus) entries from the menus? of course not deleting the ones that has been added by the software by being really capable of managing ALL entries present in the menu.

It is a lifetime license. You can remove or disable any existing entries using Right Click Editor tool. But you can't move entries created by other apps to submenus. You can only do that with entries created by this application.

Alexandre Emeriau @Ravi Patel Thanks you. On the other hand, on your page http://rbsoft.org/downloa...k-enhancer, we have :

"When you install new application on your PC some of them adds new options in your right click menu. While these entries provide quick way to use the application, not all users find it useful and some times these new options take so much space your right click menu appears out of your PC screen. Right Click Editor tool of this application allows you to remove or disable these types of unwanted right click menu options."

and also :

"Sometimes you may want to remove a few unneeded items from "New" menu to reduce its size or you may want to add a few new items to "New" menu such as new file types. New Menu Editor is a tool designed to do this job. You can even add file types with default content so you can create new files with easily with default content."

Chris @ Mary Wilson

I have Norton 360 and had no problems with the download and install of the update when it came out. It may be because I use IDM (Internet Download Manager) to download everything from the net. If Norton 360 does grab it all I have to do it tell it to restore it, and if it is on my computer, just right click it and choose File Insight and then tell it to trust the program or exe or whatever.

When a new program or update comes out, there isn't enough info in Norton's database of users so it grabs the program and tells you it is a WS.Reputation.1 threat which is stupid,

Jul 14 2017 at 5:13am Copy Link

Ravi Patel @Laga Mahesa No, For that, you need to customize context menu of the application you want to paste text into and currently, Right Click Enhancer Professional only support customizing Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer right click menu.

Kent User Add, Remove or Edit “Shell” Items ok but, what about items that are “Shellex”.
Will RCE Pro work the same on them?

I've noticed that some of the context menu items in the common Registry keys have "shellex” (Shell Extension) in the name instead of just “shell”.
Editing your registry is a possibility -but- some items populating your context menu are not all located in the same place in the Registry and then harder to locate.

So if RCE Pro can do it all and handle "Shell" and "ShellEX" items, I'd buy it just to keep from having to run all of them down in the registry.
Thanks for an answer...

Kent User If anyone wants to know, using PayPal got the Key Code right away after the sale completed.
Then using the top website link (above) for Right Click Enhancer Pro and going there to download the Portable (zip) version of Right Click Enhancer Professional - this key works in the portable version.
Tried 3 times to check that the Key was retained in the portable version and the "Registration" tab at the top of open exe window showed the registration grayed-out and not needed to be entered again.

Thank you.
PS: the developer should show a screenshot of the 9 options or features that's shown to users when running the Right Click Enhancer Professional.
I really didn't think it would/could do all this as listed here in the options - that's a bonus to me.
