Charlie Syracuse I downloaded the product for enterprise and home edition (trial). Both produced errors when I tried to run on windows 7. I was able to hit continue anyhow and was unable to get a file to split.

Sorry for all the trouble that you went through.

Could you kindly elaborate a little more, like what is the exact error message you are getting, which installation screen is it coming on, because we have installed it on over 100 windows 7 computers and none of them produced any error so its very difficult for us to suggest as to what's need to be done.
Plus we recommend you to check if the windows and the Mnet framework is up to date, or if its a false positive message from the antivirus than you may also try disabling your antivirus and firewall for the time being.

cyanic A few points to keep in mind...

- While the program does offer password protection for splitted files, keep in mind that there is no encryption applied whatsoever, and that the passwords you enter are merely base64 encoded (i.e. it is possible to obtain the original password)
- All "enterprise" feature information is saved in the Access database in the same directory as the program, and is not password protected, and as such is subject to manipulation.
- The passwords entered for user management are not hashed, so you can obtain all username/password combinations for the program by opening up the above-mentioned database.
- There is a master super user account hard-coded into the program. The username is "superuser" and password is "superadmin" (or the other way around).
- The program has no exception handling (i.e. no use of try/catch/finally), so expect the UI to stop working a lot. (Case in point: @Charlie Syracuse's comment above.)
- A few bits of the program doesn't seem implemented yet, like deleting users from the user database. You can do that manually by manipulating the Access database.

Charlie Syracuse I responded to the email directly...here is my response

The installation was clean, without any errors. However, when I try to execute the program an error occurs stating as shown below

cyanic Minor correction to my first comment: apparently you can delete users if you are using the superuser account (the created one, not the backdoor one). At least that's what the video shows.
