I has a look at the product page but just want to confirm that one can create a logo from scratch as well instead of only modifying existing templates. Also, can I create a logo template and then save that for future use?

John Seiffer I've been playing with the trial download and you can indeed create one from scratch.

I'm not a graphic artist and I like how simple it makes some of the effects - stuff I'm sure I can do with other programs I have but don't always know where to find them.

However it's not a drawing program. there is no way to draw a straight line or a circle. Though you can import a shape (they call a resource) and approximate those.

Jon Koerner I too was considering purchasing this program but I have questions, and I've been waiting for the developer to show up. Like the others, I'm reluctant to purchase if this is indicative of the level of support we're likely to get after purchase.

Pete . If you look on there forums there have been many complaints by people in the past about the lack of communication by them. Putting aside the support, their logo maker is still in its infancy stage. With only 90 pre-made templates it is way behind the others such as Logo Smartz which has 700 templates and AAA Logo which has 500 templates. It also doesn't have very many Wingdings/Webdings graphics to choose from. Untill there is much more progress and maturity of the program I would pass on it and look at the other two instead.

Jon Koerner Click on Suggest at top of this page, search for "logo", and add yourself to "I Want This" for the AAA Logo and Logo Smartz and Logo Creator. More "votes" will prod BitsduJour to try to offer them here at discount.

Thanks for showing up. Unfortunetly its kind of late now. After this someone from Sothink really should be checking-in from time to time to see if there are any questions that need to be answered when one of your products is for sale on here. Otherwise your just going to lose out on potential customers and sales.

I have read were people have had problems not just on your forums getting support but also when they have tried contacting your company directly. That is something you should really look into and address if there is a problem with customer support.

I'm sure your R&D team already knows that they need to create many more templates and other graphics. Its understandable that Sothink Logo Maker doesn't have as many as the others do just yet since the program was just released last month. The other logo makers have been working on theirs for many years now. I'm sure with time yours will be able to compete with the best of them, but just how long that will take is anybodys guess.

Pete . Update: I contacted Sothink support by email about a question I had on another Sothink product. Support got back to me and answered my question with a well thought out response, not some generic response like you get sometimes from companies. So support contacted directly does seem to be good.
