anthonyraynor? I used Sound Taxi Platinum under Vista and didn't find it to consistently work. When it worked, it was fast, but the results after I purchased the full version were disappointing. I would only purchase this extended product with a money back guarantee. Please research the product and formulate your own opinion.

anthonyraynor? When it did work it was quite fast, but it wasn't consistent in the conversion process. I used it under XP and Vista. It was better under XP as the DRM rotection scheme was changed under Vista. Google R&R error with Sound Taxi and customer support for the product, you will realize I am not spamming. I subscribe to the Zune marketplace and have for a while. I have no allegiance to a particular product, I have tried many and none work all the time. I just want a product that works as labeled and for others not to waste their money as I have.

Tanya Black We are aware about the R&R issue which occurs only under Windows Vista systems. The problem occurs on machines that runs Windows Vista with certain anti virus programs (for example Kaspersky).

During the conversion process, SoundTaxi restarts Windows Media Player numerous times in order to perform the conversion. Windows Vista detects this as an attempt to mess with the system, because they assume normal users wouldn't restart Windows Media Player more than 30 times.

There is a workaround for this problem. Access SoundTaxi Media Converter settings and apply the R&R fix. This will force the program to restart Windows Media Player less, but could affect WMP stability.

Tanya Black Only a small percentage of Vista users is experiencing the R&R issue. There is a stable fix for the issue which can be applied in the SoundTaxi settings.

We haven't tested the product under Windows 7, because the OS hasn't been officially released yet.

Tanya Black Yes, you can record selected artists only, but not selected songs. Click the "Record Specific Artists" tab in the top right corner and add the artists you wish to record.

And yes, you will be able to burn your downloaded songs to CDs, copy them to your other PCs, phones, mp3 players, etc.

J B I too am one of the mentioned users running Vista that cannot run this application. The best thing you can do is try the application out before you purchase it. If the trial won't work you have your answer. I have had the same experience with another software app and had the exact same thing happen where either it would hang on boot or not even allow the application to totally operate like it was designed to. It is not just a software conflict in my opinion, but also a hardware issue too, based on what your specific machine's components are. Thx.

Jerry S Some online comments and reviews say that SoundTaxi permits only one installation on one computer ever. Is this accurate? What are you supposed to do if you buy a new computer or upgrade the old one with new hard drives or such. What's the story on this?

Yes, 1 license code will activate on one computer only. However, if your harddrive fails or you need to upgrade, just email our support and they will replace your license code.

Raphael Joseph Soundtaxi does not work with windows 7 and media player 12.
It converts for a while the transmit an error message that say an error occured

anthonyraynor? I criticized this product the last time around as a previous version didn't work well for me. I bought the recent version and it performed flawlessly, so much so that I bought 2 copies. But do try before you buy as DRM strippers can be finicky depending on your hardware.

Jerry S I've used only the video downloader component of the suite and it is the best of its kind that I've used. Works flawlessly with every video site I've tried. Also, I needed customer support once for a registration number issue and service was fast and thorough.
